Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the number of business units, investment, and labor on economic growth in Jambi Province in 2001-2017. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The use of secondary data from the publication of the Central Statistics Agency of Jambi Province in the form of time series data, namely Economic Growth, number of small industrial business units, small industrial investment, small industrial workforce. The results showed that, from the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that for each small industrial business unit variable, the number of small industrial business units and small industrial workers has a significant effect on economic growth. The results of the coefficient of determination test (R²) show that the ability of the independent variables (small industrial business units, small industrial investment and small industrial workers) in explaining the dependent variable (economic growth) is 98.69 percent. In comparison, the variable others explain the remaining 1.31 percent outside the model. Keywords:  Economic growth, Business units, Labor, Investment

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze the development of industrial sector GRDP, UMP, and the number of companies in Jambi Province. And 2) To analyze what factors influence the absorption of labor in the industrial sector in Jambi Province by using panel data regression analysis tools. Based on the development of the GRDP of the industrial sector and the provincial minimum wage, it continues to increase every year, as well as the variable number of companies that fluctuates every year. Based on the results of the F test, it can be concluded that the GRDP of the industrial sector, the provincial minimum wage, and the number of companies jointly have a significant effect on employment in the industrial sector because the probability is less than 0.001. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that the variables that affect employment in the industrial sector are the GRDP of the industrial sector and the number of companies because the probability is less than 0.05.  Keywords: Absorption of labor in the industrial sector, GDP, Provincial minimum wages and number of companies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of exchange rates, net exports, FDI, and Indonesia's economic growth in 1998-2017 and to analyze the effect of exchange rates, net exports, and foreign investment (FDI) on Indonesia's economic growth in 1998-2017. used in this study is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analytical tool used in this study is descriptive and quantitative analysis, namely by multiple linear regression. The research method used in this study is the "Ordinary Least Square (Ordinary Least Square) method. OLS). The test results using OLS show that together the variables of the exchange rate, net exports, and FDI have a significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth. While partially, the exchange rate has a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Meanwhile, net exports have a positive and significant impact on Indonesia's economic growth. Meanwhile, FDI has a positive and significant impact on Indonesia's economic growth. Keywords: Exchange rate, Net exports, Foreign investment, Economic growth.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the socio-economic characteristics of pulse kiosks and data packages and to find out and analyze the effect of capital. Product prices sold several credits, and sales volume on pulse and data package traders in Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.  The data used in this study is primary data. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables of capital, the price of products sold, the number of credit balances, and the volume of sales of data packages had a significant effect on the income variable of pulse traders and data packages. In contrast, partially, the variables of working capital and sales volume of data packages had a considerable effect. In comparison, the price of products sold and the number of credit balances do not significantly affect the income variable of pulse traders and package data in Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.
