Abstract

Batik makers work with static and not ergonomic sitting postures within 8 hours. If the work posture is static and not ergonomic is maintained in the long term, it will cause musculoskeletal complaints atthe neck. This study aims to determine the relationship between years of service and duration of work and neck pain in batik makers at Giriloyo batik center. The research method was observational with cross sectional approach. Data collection techniques was a questionnaire distributed to batik makes. The sampling technique was purposive sampling technique. The samples in this study were batik maker at Giriloyo batik centers, totaling 89 batik makers. The results of the Spearman rank correlation test showed that there was a relationship between years of service and neck pain with r-valuev=0.313 (p<0.05). The relationship between duration of and neck pain obtained r=0.299 (p<0.005). The effect of duration of work (exp. B =1,906) was more dominant than years of service on neck pain. There is a relationship between years of service and duration of work and neck pain in batik makers at Giriloyo batik center. The effect of work duration is more dominant than the years of service on the occurrence of neck pain in batik makers in Giriloyo batik centers.

Abstract

Background: Plantar fasciitis is the one of musculoskeletal disorders that causes heel pain due to repetitive stress, leading to inflammation of the plantar fascia. Effective rehabilitation is essential for recovery from this condition. Gait analysis in plantar fasciitis cases is an intriguing aspect to be studied using biomechanical principles. Additionally, it serves as the basis for providing strengthening exercises for the lower limbs, which play a crucial role in supporting the recovery process of plantar fasciitis. Objective: This article aims to review how biomechanical gait analysis and strengthening exercises contribute to the recovery of plantar fasciitis and to identify rehabilitation mechanisms based on the latest scientific evidence. Methods: This narrative review analyzes literature from the past 10 years related to biomechanical gait analysis and strengthening exercises using the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). Literature searches were conducted using PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, and PEDro. Results: From the search across four databases, several relevant journals were identified that indicated a relationship between biomechanical gait analysis and strengthening exercises for the recovery of plantar fasciitis. Conclusion: Biomechanical gait analysis and strengthening exercises can optimize the recovery of plantar fasciitis. Abstract

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause due to inflammation or degeneration of the plantar fascia. This condition can affect work productivity and disrupt functional abilities. One of the physiotherapy programs to improve functional activity in plantar fasciitis is by providing neurokinetic exercise. The purpose of this study is to present evidence related to the effectiveness of neurokinetic exercise in improving functional activity in plantar fasciitis. The method used in this study is a narrative review using the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). Journal searches were conducted using PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, and PEDro. The search results from the 4 databases were based on keywords that had been adjusted. Article selection was done using the PRISMA flowchart, followed by the article assessment stage using critical appraisal and compiling narrative review results. Based on the article search results with reference criteria of the last 5 years, 26 articles were obtained. After screening based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 journals were found to be relevant to the topic, mentioning that neurokinetic exercise can improve functional activity in plantar fasciitis. It is concluded that neurokinetic exercise is effective in improving functional activity in plantar fasciitis. Keywords: Neurokinetic exercise; Functional activity; Plantar fasciitis
