Abstract

Unemployment in Indonesia occurs due to an imbalance between the size of the workforce and the availability of jobs. The high unemployment rate has certainly become a serious economic issue. Investment as a production factor plays an important role in labor absorption and unemployment reduction. Apart from investment, education, job opportunity itself, and the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) also affect job availability. This study analyzes the impact of investment, education, employment opportunities, and LFPR on the unemployment rate in Banten Province. The results show that these four factors simultaneously and partially have a significant effect on the unemployment rate. Of the four factors, investment is the dominant variable that most influences the unemployment rate in Banten.. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted not only health but also social and economic aspects. The Direct Cash Assistance from the Village Fund in Klungkung Regency is expected to maintain the purchasing power of affected communities. This research aims to identify the influence of education level, employment status, and family size on the income and consumption of the families receiving the aid. A quantitative associative research method was conducted in urban and rural districts of Klungkung, with a sample size of 100 individuals. Path analysis indicates that education level, employment status, and family size have a positive and significant impact on the income of recipient families. Subsequently, income serves as a mediating factor in influencing consumption.
