Abstract

This research was conducted from January to February 2015 in the coastal waters of Tapian Nauli, North Sumatera Province. The samples were analyzed in the Laboratory of Marine Chemistry of Marine Science Department, University of Riau. The research aimed to determine the relationship between nutrients (nitrate, phosphate and silicate) with abundance of diatoms. This research used survey method and the file were analyzed by using linear regression analysis. The results showed concentrations of nitrate ranged 1.18 to 1.27 mg/l, phosphate 0.04 to 0.35 mg/l, and silicate 0.46 to 0.48 mg/l. The diatoms found during the research were consisting 13 species. The highest abundance of diatoms was recorded in the station III (48080 ind/l), and the lowest was in the station I (1314 ind/l). Relationship between concentration of nitrate, phosphate and silicate with the abundance of diatoms showed a weak connection.Keywords: Nitrate, Phospate, Silicate, Diatom, Tapian Nauli

Abstract

This study was done in June 2014 in the concervation area of Kasiak Island, Pariaman City, West Sumatera. The aim of study was to observe the species composition and its abundance of clown fish ( Amphiprion sp. ). The method used was quadrant transect. The data was analysed by t-test for among stations.The study resulted that 2 species of clown fish,i.e. Amphiprion akallopisos and A. ocellaris, were recorded. The abundance for each station categorized as low, withe the value ranged from 0.03 ind/m2 – 0.24 ind/m2. The most abundant fish found was A. akallopisos,i.e. 18 individuals at station I. The diversity index ranged 0.764 – 0.811, the dominance index ranged 0.115 – 0.405, whereas the eveness index ranged 0.625 – 0.654. The study in general, did not see the difference in fish abundance among the station.Keywords: Type, Abundance, Clown Fish, Kasiak Island, West Sumatera

Abstract

Nirwana beaches water is well known as recreation and harbor. Such condition apparently brings negative impacts to marine life. Corals are considered as the major component of coral reef ecosystems whose condition is influenced by environmental condition. The aim of this study is to observe the general condition of coral reefs and the distribution of stony corals in Nirwana Beaches. The study was carried out Januari until May 2017 by taking 5 stations. The method used was Line Transect and coral identification using Coral Finder. The result indicates that generally the condition of coral reef was categorized as good condition, the coral cover averaging at 51.66 %. There were 109 organism of corals found, divided into 5 species. The morisita index value of 1.764 indicates that corals are distributed in groups. The highest frequency of occurrence of coral species by Porites. Human activities cause damage to coral reef ecosystems.Keywords: Corals, Coral Cover, Distribution, Nirwana Beaches.

Abstract

AbstractObservation on mangrove vegetation density and abundance of macroepifauna was carried out in intertidal area Rupat straits Riau Province in October 2014. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure and mangrove density and it΄s relation to abudance of macroepifauna, it showed that the mangrove vegetation density ranged (2011,11-3044,44 trees/ha) with the highest density was found at station 2 (3044,44 trees/ha) followed by station 1 (2011,11 trees/ha). The abudance of macroepifauna was highest at station 2 (11244,44 ind/ha) followed by station 1 (1088,88 ind/ha). Correlation coeficient of mangrove density and abudance of macroepifauna appeared to be 0,695 and determination coeficient of 0,484, it was calculated that regression equation was y = - 5071 + 4,445x.Keyword : Mangrove, Macroepifauna, Rupat Channel, Density

Abstract

This research was conducted in October 2016 in the waters of Bintan Strait of Desa Pengujan of Bintan Regency of Kepulauan Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of seagrass density, macrozoobenthic abundance and seagrass density relation to macrozoobenthic abundance in waters of Bintan Strait of Desa Pengujan. This research uses survey method and location of observation determined by Purposive sampling.The location of the observation is divided into 3 stations, the first station is adjacent to the fish seed area, the second station is between the fish seed and magrove area and the third station is adjacent to the magrove area.The number of seagrasses found in 4 species are: Enhalus acoroides, Halopila minor, Halodule uninervis, and Thalassia hemprichii, which have very high seagrass density, and identified macrozoobenthos species are 3 classes: Gastropoda, Bivalva and Asteroidea, consisting of 13 species at 3 observation stations, 7 species of gastopod class, 5 species of bivalve class and 1 species of Asteroidea class, with abundant levels of abundance. The density of seagrass to makrozoobentos abundance of 18%, while 82% influenced by other environmental factors such as physical parameters, chemistry and organic matter content in the waters.Keyword : Pengujan village, Seagrass, Macrozoobenthos

Abstract

The research of coral reef was conducted in May in Tureloto Beach of North Nias, North Sumatera Province. The research was aimed to analyze the condition of coral reef and to observe coral reef base on diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index. The study used survey method by applying Line Intercept Trasect (LIT) which consisting of three main stations. Each station was divided into two sub depths, i, e. 3 and 10 m respectively.The type of coral reef in Tureloto Beach was fringging reef. Coral lifeform’s found in the area were Acropora Branching (ACB), Acropora Encrusting (ACE), Acropora Submassive (ACS), Acropora Digitate (ACD), Acropora Tabulate (ACT), Coral Branching (CB), Coral Massive (CM), Coral Encrusting (CME), Coral Submassive (CS), Coral Foliose (CF), Coral Meliopora (CME), Coral Heliopora (CHL) and Coral Mushroom (CMR). The conditions of coral reef at the depth of 3 m was bad with percentage of 19,23%, percentage conditions of coral reef at the depth 10 m is 54,06% with category its good.Keywords : Tureloto Beach, Coral Reef, Acropore

Abstract

Dinoflagellates is group of phytoplankton as a primary producer. Dinoflagellates can be planctonic also epiphytic. This research was conducted in January 2017 in Nirwana Beach Padang City West Sumatera Province which aims to determine the abundance of dinoflagellates, genera of dinoflagellates and its association with waters quality parameter used survey method. Nirwana Beach is dominated by Thalassia hemprichii, seaweed and coral reef. Purposive sampling method to select the research stations which 3 stations that represent the sampling location. Chemical and phisic waters quality measured by insitu and exsitu. The results showed that 4 genera of epiphytic dinoflagellates identified that are Amphidinium, Gambierdiscus, Ostreopsis dan Prorocentrum. The abundance of dinoflagellates is higher at 1st station with 333,18 cells g-1 and smaller at 2nd station with 224,06 cells g-1. Analysis of linear regression showed that nitrate concentration directly proportional with dinoflagellates abundance with equation y = 200,96 + 1336,7x and phospate concentration inversely proportional with dinoflagellates abundance with equation y = 345,09 + (-1868,4)x.Keywords: Dinoflagellates, Thalassia hemprichii, Nirwana Beach, Abundance

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: Untuk mengukur kinerja Rumah Sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Pekanbaru dengan menggunakan metode Balance Scorecard. Dalam penelitian ini ada dua jenis data yang akan dikumpulkan yaitu data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif.Sumber Data yang digunakan yaitu:Data yang diperoleh berupa tanggapan langsung dari responden mengenai kepuasan karyawan dan pelanggan mengenai tolok ukur kinerja perusahaan yang telah ditetapkan.Data Sekunder yaitu : Data yang telah diolah yang bersumber dari perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi populasi adalah pasien rawat jalan dan pasien rawat inap serta karyawan di Rumah Sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Pekanbaru.Masing masing responden berjumlah 50 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Rumah sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Pekanbaru selama ini mengukur kinerja rumah sakit tersebut secara tradisional yaitu pengukuran kinerja yang hanya mengukur aspek keuangan, tanpa mengukur aspek non keuangan secara keseluruhan. . Hal ini belum mencerminkan kinerja Rumah sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Pekanbaru , karena selain aspek keuangan masih banyak aspek aspek lain yang sangat potensial untuk dapat diukur karena dapat menentukan hasil akhir dari kinerja rumah sakit dimasa yang akan datang dan pendapatan rumah sakit tersebut. Secara keseluruhan , seluruh persepektif balanced scorecard yang diukur pada penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil yang baik . Namun masih ada beberapa kekurangan rumah sakit yang dapat diminimalisir demi meningkatkan keuntungan perusahaan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.Kurang maksimalnya kepuasan karyawan terhadap pengembangan karier dirumah sakit memebrikan dampak yang negatif terhadap kinerja mereka, Karyawan menjadi kurang termotivasi dan kurang bersemangat dalam bekerja, yang secara otomatis dapat mempengaruhi pelayanan yang diberikan kepada pasien.Pasien yang tidak puas terhadap pelayanan rumah sakit dapat berdampak pada omset rumah sakit.Dan kondisi inilah yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhi pangsa pasar rumah sakit tersebut serta dapat mengakibatkan kerugian perusahaan.Atau Rumah sakit tidak dapat mencapai labanya dengan maksimal.
