Penyusunan jadwal pengujian terowongan angin adalah faktor penting yang menentukan berhasil tidaknya pelaksanaan pengujian terowongan angin secara keseluruhan, sekaligus menjadi media penghubung utama antara pihak pelaksana pengujian dan pihak pengguna jasa pengujian dalam mengkomunikasikan teknis pelaksanaan pengujian. Sejumlah faktor teknis maupun non-teknis mempengaruhi jadwal pengujian, yang acap kali melibatkan kerumitan dan menimbulkan kendala dalam penyusunannya, khususnya apabila dilakukan secara manual. Kegiatan penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah ini melalui pendayagunaan piranti lunak yang diharapkan tidak hanya mampu mendukung proses penjadwalan pengujian secara optimal berbasiskan teknologi informasi, namun juga dapat berperan sebagai sarana untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan pengujian, yang pada gilirannya dapat menjadi bahan acuan bagi pihak pengelola fasilitas terowongan angin dalam melaksanakan pengambilan keputusan eksekutif. Untuk merealisasikan piranti lunak tersebut, maka rekayasa piranti lunak penyusun jadwal pengujian dilaksanakan secara bertahap dengan metodologi prototyping. Produk akhir piranti lunak yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan berhasil dibangun dan siap dioperasikan dalam kondisi nyata.Kata kunci: pengujian terowongan angin, prototyping

Aplikasi pencatat aktivitas Perekayasa piranti lunak bermanfaat untuk mendukung pejabat fungsional Perekayasa yang berkecimpung di bidang rekayasa pirantui lunak dalam melakukan dokumentasi seluruh kegiatannya secara elektronis selama program kerekayasaan berlangsung. Pencatatan kegiatan berbasis teknologi informasi ini tidak hanya memungkinkan Perekayasa merencanakan dan mengevaluasi kegiatan kerekayasaannya secara terkendali dan terfokus pada bidang rekayasa piranti lunak, namun juga selanjutnya dapat digunakan pada saat pengajuan Daftar Usulan Penilaian Angka Kredit yang umumnya dijadikan referensi untuk penjenjangan karir. Untuk mewujudkan aplikasi ini, maka diinisialisasilah suatu kegiatan pengembangan dengan diawali dari kegiatan analisis kebutuhan aplikasi, kemudian perancangan kerangka kerja operasional, yang selanjutnya digunakan sebagai dasar untuk membangun dan memvalidasi produk fungsional dalam fase implementasi. Pengembangan aplikasi ini di tahap lanjut selayaknya dipertimbangkan dengan memperhatikan aspek mobilitas Perekayasa, aksesabilitas data kegiatan kerekayasaan dan dinamika perkembangan teknologi informasi.

Software prototype is a simplified form of the real software which is developed to assist the upstream engineering activities. Developing the prototype is especially of importance in gathering the requirement and modeling the main functionalities of the software. Among tools available to prototype the software, Microsoft Excel, with its advantageous spreadsheet features and considerable popularity, is worthy to be considered as an alternative candidate. Several case studies are explored to show the usefulness of Microsoft Excel as a prospective tool in prototyping the visual softwares. Index Terms - prototype, software engineering, visual software.

Data presentation software is useful in presenting aerodynamics information for all stakeholders during a wind tunnel test execution. Development of such software in mobile devices, especially for displaying data in a real time manner, attracts the attention due to the promise in promoting the creation of more practical and more efficient test execution. Prototyping in Androidbased tablet and related test showed sufficient results to suggest further development of the prototype for the real application in the future. Wind tunnel test in Indonesian Low Speed Tunnel required a supportive information system which be able to monitor various test activities and record numerous test conditions in an integrated manner. The software of such information system is engineered to realize information technology based support into the test execution through rapid cycles of analysis, design and implementation phases. Data acquisition is an important part of a series of activities in a wind tunnel test and determine the validity of aerodynamic characteristics information of the test object. One of the factors which affect the success of the data acquisition process is the control of the data acquisition parameters prior to the execution of the wind tunnel test. A large number of data acquisition parameters, and the configuration complexities of the data acquisition parameters, which are still managed manually, urged the development of a software which is expected to facilitate the management of these parameters in a way that is friendly to use and integratable into the existing data acquisition system. Engineering of data acquisition parameters management software was then carried out through the analysis, design and implementation stages in an iterated manner, starting with a simple prototype toward the establisment of operational product.

Data post-processing plays important roles in a wind tunnel test, especially in supporting the validation of the test results and further data analysis related to the design activities of the test objects. One effective solution to carry out the data post-processing in an automated productive manner, and thus eliminate the cumbersome conventional manual way, is building a software which is able to execute calculations and have abilities in presenting and analyzing the data in accordance with the post-processing requirement. Through several prototype development cycles, this work attempts to engineer and realize such software to enhance the overall wind tunnel test activities. Task manager software is useful to support the management of the assignment of the work programs to personnel, monitoring the progress of the tasks and evaluating the personnel performance in an engineering functional organization. Implementation of this software is expected to increase the personnel productivity as well as to provide inputs for the management, which can be utilized to support further decision making activities. To realize such software, an engineering activity is initialized by firstly analyzing the requirement and designing the operational framework, which is used as the base to construct the functional product in the subsequent implementation phases. Data acquisition and reduction system plays important roles in a wind tunnel test and determine the validity of aerodynamic characteristics information of the test object in Indonesian Low Speed Tunnel. Although it has been modernized recently, the main software components of the system are still requiring supporting counterparts to optimize the efficiency and the effectivity of the test execution. Several supporting softwares have been engineered so far and further developments are still in progress as attempts to fulfill those needs. Coordinating both main and supporting softwares in a well manner should be considered to realize fully integrated system which functions from the pre-test to the post-test phases as well as to anticipate various possible needs in the future. Data acquisition and reduction software plays an important role in providing accurate and reliable aerodynamics information for all stakeholders in a wind tunnel test. Step-by-step development through prototyping cycles promotes the creation of data acquisition and reduction software which is in accordance with the requirement definition. Test in virtual machine environment showed adequate performances which in turn suggests further implementation of the software prototype for the real applications.
