Abstract

This study aims to examine and explain the influence of the internal environmental, external environment, and the soul of enterpreneurship secret of the strategy differentiation and their competitive advantage. The Study was conducted on small medium enterprises (SME) of ornamental plants located in the city of Denpasar based on data obtained from the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture Denpasar. Sampel study was determined using 67 business units, and selected using methods of proportional sampling with the owners as respondents. Entire data obtained from the distribution of research instruments were used for analysis. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using structural equation model (SEM) also known as variance-based Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that the internal control environment and the soul of enterpreneurship secret are important basis for micro-entrepreneurs in the preparation of differentiation strategy, according differentiation strategies are capable and properly applied to increase in competitive advantage. Differentiation strategy is a key mediator integrating internal control environment and the secret  of entrepreneurial spirit to generate increased competitive advantage. Meanwhile the soul of enterpreneurship secret is a another important capability in the implementation of the differentiation strategy to achieve greater competition. Interesting finding, the external environment is a direct determinant of competitive advantage. The implementation of the differentiation strategy based on internal and secret environment entrepreneurial spirit, and together with the support of the external environment are attribute to the success of micro-entrepreneurs  to archieve competitive advantage.

Abstract

Innovation PTT consists of 12 components that can be recommended to improve rice yields and production efficiency by taking into account the input of natural resources wisely . The purpose of this study is (1) To describe the behavior of farmers and the rate of adoption of innovation PTT, (2) to analyze the influence of the characteristics of farmers, extension workers and the nature of innovation competence PTT on farmer behavior , (3) to analyze the influence of the characteristics of farmers, extension workers and the nature of innovation competence PTT the adoption of PTT innovation, and (4) to analyze the influence of behavioral factors on the adoption of PTT in District Sukawati innovation . The population in this study were all farmers who have followed the SL - PTT program in 2012 in the district of Sukawati. The number of samples in this study were 157 farmer respondents, obtained from 10 % of the population with proportional  Random sampling method. The types of data collected in this study is qualitative and quantitative data . Data analysis used descriptive analysis and statistical analysis with analysis tools Partial Least Square ( PLS ) Visual 1.04bl version . The results showed that (1) The behavior of farmers and the rate of innovation adoption of PTT in the District of Sukawati were high, (2) Characteristics of farmers, extension workers and the nature of innovation competence significantly affect farmers behavior, (3) The nature of innovation significantly affect innovation adoption PTT, while the characteristics of farmers and extension workers competence did not significantly affect the adoption of PTT innovation , and (4) The behavior of farmers significantly affect innovation adoption of PTT in District Sukawati . PTT Innovation Adoption in District Sukawati only influenced by the nature and behavior of innovation PTT farmers. Advice can be given is (1) The intensity of assistance that are applicable extension needs to be improved so as to fix the application of skills and legowo row planting method, fertilizer N based on leaf color chart, pest and disease control with crop rotation and the use of biological pesticides by farmers; (2) Extension should pay attention and use the properties of PTT innovation in assisting the farmers, and; (3) There needs to be a model and other studies with different variables.

Abstract

Bali Provincial Government has been implementing a program Simantri since 2009, until now reached the number of 419 units Simantri. Simantri program is a groundbreaking effort to further streamline farm through crop and livestock waste utilization with concept of no waste (zero waste). Simantri success is influenced by many factors, among others the ability of entrepreneurship and agribusiness management.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship and agribusiness management towards the successful of Simantri in Tabanan. The study was conducted on Gapoktan Simantri from 2009-2011. The unit of analysis is the study Poktan Simantri executor. The number of samples was determined by 21 Poktan executive with 84 respondents consisting of administrators and members representing. Engineering analysis data using Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of Smart PLS program . The results showed that the entrepreneurial spirit is very significant positive effect on the success of Simantri, as well as the management of agribusiness. Agribusiness management turns a very significant positive effect on the success of Simantri. This suggests that the entrepreneurial spirit of great influence in shaping the quality of human resources so as to implement agribusiness management and eager to achieve the performance in implementing Simantri. Suggestions for implementing Poktan of Simantri members is that the entrepreneurial spirit should grow or strengthened, especially in changing the mindset of associating with a more flexible search for information to Simantri who has managed to be more motivated to be successful running the Simantri. Poktan Simantri implementing institutional groups should also increasing so as to innovate in developing technology based agribusiness innovation with the development of diversified products in Simantri.
