Abstract

Banyaknya komponen dalam industri manufaktur memerlukan penggunaan teknik pengelasan yang efektif dan efisien. Pengelasan gesekan adalah metode penyambungan benda padat di mana laju rotasi satu benda kerja digabungkan dengan laju rotasi ujung benda kerja yang lain. Durasi gesekan, kecepatan rotasi, dan tekanan merupakan variabel penting dalam pengelasan gesekan karena mempengaruhi kualitas dan hasil proses. Material yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah baja St.60. Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kecepatan putar 2300 rpm, waktu gesekan 60 detik dan tekanan 70 Psi. Dengan memvariasikan pendingin. Setelah pengelasan gesekan, benda kerja dipadamkan dengan minyak pendingin, air garam, udara dan air. Untuk mengetahui sifat mekanik dari hasil pengelasan ini dilakukan pengujian kekerasan dan pengujian tarik. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa variasi cairan pendingin mempengaruhi metode las gesekan. Hasil kekerasan tertinggi daerah sambungan sebesar 170 HB terdapat pada variasi fluida pendingin air asin, kekerasan terendah pada daerah sambungan sebesar 112,33 HB terdapat pada variasi fluida pendingin udara. Hasil kekuatan tarik tertinggi sebesar 517,82 N/mm² terdapat pada variasi pendingin air asin. sedangkan kekuatan tarik terendah sebesar 291,70 N/mm² terdapat pada variasi fluida pendingin air. Many components in the manufacturing industry necessitate the use of effective and efficient welding techniques. Friction welding is a method of joining solid objects in which the rotation rate of one workpiece is combined with the rotation rate of the other end of the workpiece. Friction duration, rotational speed, and pressure are all critical variables in friction welding because they affect the quality and outcome of the process. The material used in this research is St.60 steel. The parameters used in this study are the rotational speed of 2300 rpm, the friction time of 60 seconds and the pressure of 70 Psi. By varying the coolant. After friction welding , the workpiece is quenched with coolant oil, salt water, air and water. To determine the mechanical properties of this welding result, this research is carried out by testing the hardness and tensile testing. From the results of this study, it is known that the variation of the coolant affects the friction welding method. The result of the highest hardness of the connection area of 170 HB is found in the variation of the salt water cooling fluid, the lowest hardness of the connection area of 112.33 HB is found in the variation of the air cooling fluid. The result of the highest tensile strength of 517.82 N/mm² was found in the variation of the salt water coolant. while the lowest tensile strength of 291.70 N/mm² was found in the variation of the water cooling fluid.

Abstract

Abstract. Two-wheeled vehicles, namely motorbikes, are still the mainstay as an affordable means of transportation for the majority of Indonesian people. Motorcycles are a means of transportation that are often found, both in urban and rural areas. Motorcycles have many advantages compared to other means of transportation Tires are an important part of land vehicles, tire conditions that are not in accordance with the standards can cause tire bursts which result in traffic accidents. Frictional forces that occur in the tires can cause wear on the tires. Various factors that affect wear include the speed of movement and the amount of load. In this study an analysis was carried out to find out how the effect of load and speed on the resulting frictional cross-sectional area. The analytical method used in this study is Kruskall-Wallis and Mann-Whitney. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa faktor beban memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penampang gesekan ban sepeda motor pada lintasan beton. Sedangkan perlakuan atau faktor kecepatan tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penampang gesekan ban sepeda motor pada lintasan beton.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce a virtual teacher application using combination of natural language processing (NLP) and pattern matching methods to assist students when learning by themselves without being accompanied by a teacher. The author uses the research object in Domenico Savio Junior High School. Author’s research subjects are 7th, 8th and 9th grade students there. The author used natural language processing methods as a solution for application to conduct teaching and learning process with students using Indonesian language. Coupled with the pattern matching method, virtual teachers can classify the types of questions that students ask. This classification aims to solve problems that seem the same but have different solutions. The results of this study is virtual teacher application with facilities of creating material, making questions, and answering questions if that question material is contained in the application database. Domenico Savio junior high school teachers also can add or modify this knowledge

Abstract

Abstract. The development of technology in the current era is very rapid and has an impact on increasing electrical energy which is a major need for large industries and households. One of the electrical energy delivery equipment in the transmission system is a PMT or High Connection Breaker. This PMT is a mechanical equipment equipped with sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas arc extinguishing media. The process of extinguishing the arc occurs due to contact due to work from the movement that causes the contact to cause an arc. This decrease in SF6 gas pressure greatly affects reliability when operating, because the arc extinguishing process is not perfect. This is determined by the age of the equipment and the number of operating breakers. The results showed that SF6 gas which is in accordance with the standard normal pressure of 6.4 bar with an ambient temperature of 34°C can minimize the occurrence of equipment damage because it is able to approach arc pressure with SF6 gas velocity of 58 cm/s.kA, with a contact gap of 3,61224. cm, while the PMT cannot be operated at a pressure of 5.2 bar with an ambient temperature of 34°C because the speed of SF6 gas is 82 cm/s.kA with a contact gap of 5.10696. It is concluded that the higher the pressure affects the speed and distance when extinguishing the arc. several factors that affect the decrease in SF6 gas pressure using the FMEA method based on the highest value of the Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 810. Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology today encourages every human being in matters related to the field of industrial or machinery needs, which has a function as a power transfer from the driving force (diesel engine or electric motor dynamo) to the engine to be driven, Gearbox is a component of a machineconsisting of a house for gears, In one of the uses of machine construction and in some components often involves professional welding techniques, one of which is welding using electric arc / Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), the selection of appropriate welding current parameters affects the strength and changes in the mechanical properties of a metal. The current used is too low will cause the difficulty of igniting the electric arc, and the electric arc that occurs is unstable, this test wants to examine using high carbon steel, namely JIS S45C STEEL (ASTM 1045) in the application for gears on the Gearbox through SMAW weldingusing electrodes (E11018-G) Ø3.2 mm with current variations of 90 A, 100 A and 110 A, and see its mechanical properties of NDT testing, tensile testing, and impact testing (charpy). The NDT test results obtained no indication of cracks in the variations of 90, A, 100 A and 110 A and the porosity indication only occurredin the variation of 100 A, in the Tensile test test obtained good results in the current variation of 90 A and the less good occurred in the variation of 100 A. In the Im test test, the results of the NDT test were obtained.
