Abstract

Monument of the unknown hero is a work of Monumental. Was used as a land mark in Kenagarian District of Padang Barat Padang, which serves as a symbol of the struggle of the people of Padang city. Lack of public appreciation of the monument, so the condition of unknown hero monument less attention and began to disappear from the view of the people who visit Taman Melati, people who visit in Taman Melati Padang many who do not know the history or just merely berselfy ria and do not know what the name of the monument .This research uses qualitative methodology with descriptive research type, that is describe everything found in field according to reality. Descriptive method aims to describe or analyze a research result but not used to make wider conclusions. The results show that the construction of unknown hero monument is inseparable from the history contained in the monument, namely the history of unknown hero's struggle against the belasting policy and the occurrence of war against Dutch aggression in 1950 in the city of Padang. The shape of the monument takes place from the foundation, the base of the figure, and there is a male figure depicting a warrior fighter against the Dutch.Kata kunci: Bentuk, Fungsi, Makna

Abstract

The purposes of the research are: (1) to describe the history of SitiManggapoh statue (2) to describefactors influencing the shape formation of Siti Manggapoh statue. This research is conducted by using qualitative method with descriptive approach. The data of this research are oral data from interviewand the a written source from the library as the secunder data.The data of this research were collected from observation, interview,documentation and bibliography. The results of this research are as follows: (1) the building of Siti Manggopoh statue was tied with the history of Manggopoh society struggling against the Dutch colonization; (2) The physical shape of the statue comprises of the base cornerstone, the base figure, and female statue’s figure. The techniques employed in the building of the statue arepelastering and carving. Abstract

This study aims to describe the shape of the product, the variety of motives, functions, meanings and colors of Tebo songket whose information is not widely known to the wider community. The method used to collect data is the method of observation, documentation and interviews. The results of the study show that there are 5 types of songket Tebo products in the form of gloves, scarves, headbands, wallets and wall hangings. Tebo Songket has 6 motifs, namely Tapak Kudo, Bungo Tanjung, Bungo Mawar, Kajang Lako, Konde Minah and Tanggo Rajo motifs. The function of Tebo songket is in the form of function and ornamental function. Songket Tebo cloth is usually used on official / custom events. The meaning of Tebo songket motif is taken from the history and culture of the Tebo region. Tebo Songket has various colors such as Red, Pink, Blue, Light Blue, Purple, Gray, Black and White.Keywords: Songket Tebo, Jambi.

Abstract

The purpose in making this final work is to visualize betta fish as a metaphor of  uman behavior, which deviates in society today, through the work of figurative  bstract sculpture. The methods used in making this work are: 1) the preparation stage of observation, 2) elaboration, 3) the synthesis stage, 4) the realization of the concept that begins to make sketches, the process of work, and finising. 5) the stages in the exhibition are cataloging for works to be exhibited, displaying works in the room to be used for exhibition works, providing guestbooks, and ready for   hibition opening. The results of the discussion terwujutlah seven sculptures that provide information and media learning in everyday life as stipulated in the sculpture entitled: 1. Arogan, 2. Show, 3. Individual, 4. Selfish, 5. Ruler, 6. Suppression, 7. Fighting.Kata kunci : Ikan Cupang, metafora, seni patung, abstrak figuratif

Abstract

the purpose of creating works of art is to know the extent to which body language plays a role in human social life as the delivery of nonverbal messages, and to present works of sculptures that look at body pieces and visualize works by using a realist style. Method of cultivating results in the idea of art ideas in the creation process are among others: Preparation, elaboration, synthesis, concept realization, and completion. The results of the process through the idea into the form of sketches designed in such a way Based on the photographs made sketches which then consulted to the supervisor when it was getting the concept of work then visualize it in the form of a realist sculpture. the final stage of the process of making works where the author is ready to visualize into a final work as a condition for completing the degree program of art education.Keywords: Body Language, Statue, Realist.

Abstract

Tujuan penciptaan karya ini adalah untuk memvisualisasikan aktivitas petani padi dalam seni lukis ekspresionis. Profesi petani sangat dikenal dalam masyarakat karena jasa petani kita bisa memperoleh bahan pangan terutama padi merupakan tanaman budidaya penghasil beras yang memegang peranan penting dalam kehidupan ekonomi, hal ini menjadikan sumber ide penciptaan dan pokok permasalahan bagi penulis untuk melahirkan sebuah karya seni lukis ekspresionis. Selain itu karya ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan fenomena sosial tentang aktivitas petani padi selama proses bercocok tanam. Metode penciptaan karya menggunakan lima tahap yaitu persiapan, elaborasi, sintesis, realisasi konsep, dan penyelesaian. Dalam pencapaian bentuk melalui kombinasi garis, bidang, ruang, warna, gelap terang, bentuk, dan keseimbangan sehingga menghasilkan karya lukis yang menarik. Dalam karya lukis yang penulis ciptakan, terdapat 10 karya dengan judul; “Usaha dalam kegelapan”, “Kesedihan masa tua”, “Meracun”, “Memupuk“, “Hama, “Menyiangi“, “Predator“, “Menjaga dalam penantian“, “Melepaskan air“, “Nasib Kedalaman“.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi minat mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pilihan paket seni patung pada Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu metode yang membuat gambaran mengenai kejadian dan situasi yang sebenarnya. subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa sebanyak 49 orang yang mengambil mata kuliah pilihan paket yang terdaftar pada Semester Januari – Juni 2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik yaitu proportionate stratified random sampling. Penyusunan instrumen penelitian berpedoman pada skala Linkert. Sebelum alat pengumpulan data digunakan, langkah yang dilakukan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji coba mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas instrument. Analisis validitas menggunakan rumus pearson produk moment dan reliabelitas menggunakan rumus Alpha. Hasil analisis relibilitas instrumen adalah 0.936. Teknik analisis data ini mengunakan  program SPSS versi 16.0 dan Microsoft Exel 2010. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi minat  mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Padang terhadap mata kuliah pilihan paket seni patung yang terdiri dari faktor internal tinggi (75.02%) antara lain faktor perhatian (79.12%), faktor bakat (68.16%), dan faktor kesiapan (71.02%). Faktor eksternal sangat tinggi (80.89%) antara lain faktor kurikulum (82.45%), faktor metode pembelajaran (85.61%), faktor tugas (79.71%), faktor dosen yang mengajar (78.37%), dan sosial dan lingkungan (79.18%).Kata kunci : pengaruh minat, mata kuliah, mahasiswa
