<![CDATA[Artikel ini membahas kajian semiotik Kesenian Rengkong khas Warungkondang Cianjur dengan tujuan menginterpretasi makna yang terkandung pada segala macam peralatan, bahan, kostum Kesenian Rengkong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga tanda atau lambang yang termasuk dalam kategori Ikon yaitu, pohon beringin, tari potong padi, dan lumbung padi Dewi Sri. Terdapat tiga tanda atau lambang yang termasuk dalam kategori Indeks yaitu, warna merah putih, warna hitam, dan tali ijuk. Terdapat enam tanda atau lambang yang termasuk dalam kategori Simbol yaitu, jumlah pemain Kesenian Rengkong, pohon hanjuang, bambu, suara Kesenian Rengkong, padi, dan sendal karet hitam. Kata Kunci: semiotik, rengkong, bahan ajar, teks deskripsi.AbstractThe writer discusses the study of semiotics Rengkong art typical Warungkondang Cianjur. The purpose of this study is to describe the semiotic study contained in Rengkong Art, to interpret the meaning contained in all kinds of equipment, materials, costumes Art Rengkong and describes the extent to which feasibility as the use of teaching materials to write text description. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The significance of the sign or emblem rests on Pierce's semiotic theory, classified into three parts namely Icons, Indexes, and Symbols. The results showed there are three signs or symbols that are included in the category of Icons namely, banyan tree, rice cut dance, and rice barn Dewi Sri.
