Abstract

Impact test intended to knowing the toughness of metal, as a result of sudden in a type temperature condition. Toughness is a measure of the energy require to break the material. This impact test tool here in after tested for the testing of aluminium and steel ST37. Before being tested spesimen aluminium and steel ST37 same, will be tested by the method charpy impact on test equipment certified Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) and Japans Industrial Standard (JIS) in Balai Besar Bahan dan Barang Teknik ( B4T ) Bandung as a comparison of the outcome of the draft impact test equipment. Results of impact testing conducted in Balai Besar Bahan dan Barang Teknik (B4T) Bandung with test performed in laboratory material University Majalengka the prices of different impact but fracture of aluminium and steel ST 37 the same outcome. While the test results for Izod method on steel ST37 only performed in laboratory material University of Majalengka doesn't fracture. Because there are several factors in the test equipment and the test object is not testing criteria Izod method.Keyword: Testing, comparison, analys

Abstract

Impact test is one method used to determine the strength, hardness and ductility of the material. Therefore the impact test is widely used in the field test the mechanical properties possessed by the material. Toughness (impact) is a materials resistance to shock loads. This is what distinguishes impact testing the tensile and hardness testing where loading is done slowly. Impact test is an attempt to simulate the material operating conditions frequently encountered in the transportation or construction equipment where the load does not always occur gradually but comes suddenly. The purpose of this paper is able to design and make tools charpy type impact test and Izod, knowing the mechanism of action, and analyze the performance of the tool at a time to recalibrate based on the impact energy of specimens. The methodology applied has three main points, namely the construction design, the manufacturing, construction and calculation. This impact test equipment has a capacity of 140 Joule, weight 20 kg pendulum, swinging point to point distance at 560 mm, the initial position beatings 105o and has dimension of length = 746,43 mm, width = 428,6 mm and 1221,85 mm high .Keywords: Design and construction calculations

Abstract

Hydraulic press tool is an apparatus used to suppress or install components with size specific pressure , so getting the expected results based on the specifications. Hydraulic press tool works by Pascal 's Law , how it works using a hydraulic system . A hydraulic press equipment consists of the basic components used in the hydraulic system that includes cylinders , pistons , hydraulic pipe , and others - others . The working principle of this press tool is very simple . The system consists of two cylinders , liquid ( usually oil ) is poured into the cylinder has a small diameter . Abstract

Good air circulation is needed in a room that has a high load to achieve thermal comfort. This study aims to assess the flow of air in the room as workshops Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Majalengka, in order to determine the amount of air conditioning needed, determine the spread of conditioned air to the room, and the location of the air conditioner in the room. This experimental research using CFD simulation (Computational Fluid Dynamics), input parameters in the simulation obtained through field measurements such as workshops dimensional space. Abstract

Hydraulic press is a tool to install bearing which difficult to be installed manually. It also used to squeeze the soft breaker. The purpose of designing this hydraulic press is designing a hydraulic press with 15 tons maximum pressure. This tool use pressure power which able to entering the bearing and pressing soft breaker. The source of pressure is from Hydraulic Jack / Jack Hydraulic jack which 15 tons maximum pressure. The basic principle of this hydraulic jack is using the Pascal principal law. This principle can calculate the power of jack which used. This jack is needed for construction in accordance with the results of their designs. Construction tools hydraulic press using the construction as simple as possible. This construction is made in order to suitable with the necessary. Calculations which seek is bolts power, lock pen power, deflection of a to spring and the Pascal law. From the following calculation above is resulting hydraulic press which has 15 tons maximum pressure and the construction able to withstand a load up to 16 tons.Keywords: tools, hydraulic, principles, construction, style.
