Abstract

Utilization of Insitu organic fertilizer is one of the solutions in improving the efficiency of rice farming. At present the majority of farmers in Conggeang Sub-district are not optimal in their use of organic fertilizer. Utilization of organic fertilizer will develop better if farmers have adequate capacity. This study aims to analyze the level of capacity of farmers in the use of organic fertilizer, analyze the factors that affect the capacity of farmers, and strategies to increase the capacity of farmers in Conggeang District, Sumedang District in April to July 2020. The results of the study indicate that the level of capacity of farmers is classified as being moderate. utilization of Insitu organic fertilizer. The level of farmer's capacity is positively influenced by internal characteristics of farmers, facility support factors and extension activities. Farmers' internal characteristics consist of farmer's land area in developing farming, supporting facilities in the form of information technology availability, business capital, and availability of infrastructure, while extension activities consist of intensity of counseling, material suitability, method accuracy and instructor competence. The strategy to increase farmers' capacity is in the form of counseling activities to increase technical capacity with demonstration plots, and direct counseling using media according to field conditions.

Abstract

Abstract The high use of chemical pesticides not only causes pest and disease resistance, but can also result in low production and can damage ecosystem. The technology recommended by the ministry of agriculture to overcome the negative effects of chemical pesticides is the application of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). One component of IPM that can overcome pathogenic attacks and is also useful as a decomposing organism is biological agents Trichoderma. This study aims to describe the interests of KWT members in their use Trichoderma, analyze related factors and determine strategies that can be done to increase the interest of KWT members in use Trichoderma. The assessment sample was a census of 32 farmers. The assessment variables are internal factors, external factors and KWT members interest in use Trichoderma. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, questionnaires and observations. Data analysis is descriptive analysis, correlation analysis Spearman's rank and analysis Kendall's W. The results of the assessment regarding the interests of KWT members are in the medium category. Related factors are external factors. One strategy to increase farmers' interest is to actively carry out extension activities with methods, media and material about technology Trichoderma.

Abstract

Pest attacks in the agricultural sector have become commonplace in every planting season and even pest attacks can reduce rice productivity 2-4 tons / ha, new farmers apply pest control according to the recommendations of around 38-40% less than 50% of the extension agent's target so the importance of using biopesticides as an effort to reduce pest attacks through the application of Pest Control Biopesticides which aim to Describe the increase in farmer capacity in the application of Pest Control Biopesticides, Analyze Factors related to increasing the capacity of farmers in the application of Pest Control Biopesticides in rice plants. The study was conducted in Ciasmara Village, Pamijahan District. The sample of the research is active farmers who are 40 members of farmer groups, using Descriptive Data Analysis, Spearman Rank Analysis. The results of research on improving the capacity of farmers in the application of biopesticides at the Knowledge stage are starting to recognize the existence of innovations and gain some understanding of the innovations functioning, followed by the stages of persuasion (Action), and decisions until confirmation. There is a positive (unidirectional) relationship between formal education, cosmopolitan, environmentally friendly paddy technology innovation, extension of environmentally friendly innovation, and agricultural technology information with increasing capacity of paddy farmers in Ciasmara village with a strong level of correlation (correlation), and there is influence in the use of biopesticides against pest reduction in lowland rice plants
