Abstract

Indonesian students' competence in solving PISA literacy-based science questions is still relatively low compared to ASIA countries and even ASEAN countries. The research aims to develop wave material teaching materials based on PISA literacy for basic Physics courses in the Unimed Physics Study Program in the first semester of 2019/2020. This type of research is a research development using the stages of Analyze Design Develop Implement Evaluate (ADDIE). PISA-based competencies include competency in explaining science phenomena, competence in evaluating and designing science experiments and competence in interpreting the data from science experiments. In the analysis phase it was found that the available wave teaching materials did not fully support the demands of PISA competence. At the design stage, wave teaching materials are arranged by emphasizing the achievement of PISA competencies. At the development stage of the teaching material is validated by the material expert and revised according to expert input. At the implementation stage, teaching materials were tested on a small group of students and revisions were made to the material aspects of the competence of scientific inquiry and data interpretation in accordance with the difficulties found in the field. At the evaluation stage teaching materials are applied to undergraduate students in Physical Education. Results obtained: there was an increase in student responses and PISA-based competencies after using the developed wave teaching materials

Abstract

The research aims to develop web-based interactive multimedia in Newton's law of motion material that meets valid, practical and effective requirements. The research method used is the development research method based on the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the development research obtained a web-based interactive multimedia valid by media experts and media experts, very practical by users (teachers and students) and effective by small group students and limited groups. Web-based interactive multimedia can be used as a learning media for teachers and high school level students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: the effectiveness of the development of problem based learning model based on Batak culture implemented in learning tools developed, improvement of problem solving skills of physics that dibelajarkan with model based learning based on batak culture. Type of research is development (development of research) by using model of development of Thiagaraian, Semmel and Semmel that is 4-D model (four D Model). The sample in the study is one class X of all classes of MIA X present in the research site. The instrument used is a problem-solving test. Data in the study were analyzed using N-gani. The results showed that: the effectiveness of learning tools through the model based learning based on Batak culture in improving the ability of problem solving physics has been able to be said to be effective for use in learning, there is improvement of problem solving problems of physics students using learning tools based on culture based Batak on measurement material

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type Teams Game Tournament (TGT) by using the monopoly media of conceptual knowlegde students in topic dynamic fluid. Method of this research is by using quasi experiment with one group post test pretest design. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Silangkitang Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency with cluster random class sampling technique and class selection was done randomly, the students of XI-1 class as the experimental class and XI-2 class as the control class were 30 students . The instrument used in this study is a multiple-choice test of conceptual knowledge with a total of 20 items and affective and skill observation sheets. Analysis using t-test at 5% significance level with prerequisite test of normality and homogeneity. From the research result, the average pretest of experiment class was 32,00 and the control class was 31,17 while the average posttest experiment class was 71,67 and the control class was 51,50. Hypothesis with t-test shows the result of physics conceptual knowledge with TGT type cooperative model by using monopoly media better than conventional learning. Based on the result, it can be concluded that there is influence of cooperative learning model type TGT to conceptual knowledge learning result.

Abstract

Complex problem solving (CPS) is important for students, but educators rarely provide tests that hone CPS, because the available tests are not up to standard. The aim of the study was to develop a physics test instrument based on CPS for high school that met the qualifications in the aspects of validity, reliability, discriminatory power and level of difficulty. The type of research used is the Borg & Gall research and development (R&D) model with 9 stages, namely: (1) preliminary study of problem-solving test instruments, (2) planning of instrument development and testing, (3) development of problem-solving-based test instruments, (4) initial field test by 5 material, construction and language expert validators, (5) main product revision, (6) main field test on 20 test takers, (7) operational product revision, (8) operational field test on 100 participants tests, and (9) final product revisions. This research uses a mixed method approach with qualitative and quantitative analysis. The developed test instrument consists of 15 essay test items. The results of the initial field test obtained 30 valid test items with minor revisions on the material, construction and language aspects. The results of the main field test obtained 14 test items valid and very reliable. The operational field test results obtained 14 valid and very reliable test items so that the CPS test is suitable for use and can be useful in helping educators to hone students' CPS ability.
