Abstract

The article investigates the phenomenon of intolerance and religious radicalism in Indonesia. Religious radicalism in several regions has shown a critical condition and tends to present takfirism to the other group's religious beliefs. This encourages the Youth Movement of Nahdlatul Ulama (Ansor-Banser) to play an important role in mainstreaming moderate Islam and religious tolerance. Among the research questions asked are how the role of Ansor-Banser in countering religious radicalism?; and how the concept and strategy of Ansor-Banser in mainstreaming moderate Islam in Indonesia.?By using sosiological theory and historical approach, the findings of this research show that Ansor-Banser has three important roles in countering religious radicalism. Firstly, the role in maintaining security and public order with the government apparatus in particular at religious ceremony both organized by muslim community and non muslim. Secondly, the role in reviewing and monitoring the activities of individuals or groups of radical religious dissemination. Thirdly, the role in educating moderate religious values ​​on the younger generation through training activities. Therefore, this research also aims to be a reference in formulating strategic steps for stakeholders especially muslim youth organization to maintain moderate religious understanding and forming religious behavior by relying on Islamic values ​​of tasamuh, tawasuth and tawazun.

Abstract

Abstract: The Javanese Muslim community is one of the largest Muslim communities in the Malay Peninsula Land. Its existence has contributed significantly to the religious social life of the Peninsula. This study aims to explore the pattern of migration, adaptation and traditions of Javanese Muslim community in Malaysia especially in carrying out the daily religious life. This research employed qualitative approach and it utilized documentation, observation and interview as data collection technique. The results of this study indicated that the Javanese Muslim community in Malaysia keep the values of local wisdom which is represented through the existing traditions and cultures. The transformation of local wisdom values from generation to generation showed the character of Islamic Nusantara or Islamic moderate. The Javanese Muslim community in Malaysia can be a reference in developing a dignified Islamic society that applied inclusive, moderate, and tolerant Islamic values. The strength of local culture and traditions is not purified but it is integrated to the inclusive, contextual and tolerant values of Islam as it ispracticed by Muslim community of Java in Malaysia. It occurs in the area of Sri Medan and Batu Pahat. They can incorporate local traditions and Islam intimately.  المجتمعات المسلمة الجاوية من أكبر المجتمعات في شبه جزيرة الملايو. ملخص:وقد أسهمت إسهاما كبيرا في الحياة الاجتماعية الدينية لشبه هذه الجزيرة. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أنماط الهجرة والتأقلم والتقاليد من المجتمعات المسلمة الجاوية في ماليزيا وخاصة في الحياة الدينية اليومية. يستخدم هذا البحث الطريقة النوعية من البيانات المكتبية والميدانية والمقابلة. ونتائج هذا البحث أن المجتمعات المسلمة الجاوية في ماليزيا تحتفظ على قيم التراث المحلية التي تتحقق من خلال العادات والثقافات الموجودة. إن التحويل من قيم التراث المحلية من الأجيال إلى أجيال من قبل المجتمعات المسلمة الجاوية قد أظهر طبيعة الإسلام نوسانتارا أو الإسلام الذي يبنى على التسامح. إن المجتمعات المسلمة الجاوية في ماليزيا يمكن أن تكون مثالا في بناء المجتمع الإسلامي الذي يبنى على القيم الإسلامية الشاملة والمعتدلة والمتسامحة. ولا تختفي قيم التراث المحلية وعاداتها تحت قيم متطرفة ولكن من الممكن تراث المجتمعات الإسلامية الجاوية هناك يصوّر على القيم الإسلامية الشاملة، والسياقية، والمتسامحة. وهذه هي الثقافة الإسلامية من المجتمعات المسلمة الجاوية في منطقة سري ميدان وباتو بهات. وقد حصلت المجتمعات المسلمة على الجمع بين الثقافة المحلية والإسلام بشكل وثيق. Abstrak: Komunitas muslim keturunan Jawa merupakan salah satu komunitas Muslim terbesar di Semenanjung Tanah Melayu. Keberadaannya telah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap kehidupan sosial keagamaan di Semenanjung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pola migrasi, adaptasi dan tradisi masyarakat Muslim keturunan Jawa di Malaysia khususnya dalam menjalankan keseharian kehidupan keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data perpustakaan, lapangan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan fakta bahwa komunitas Muslim keturunan Jawa di Malaysia tetap memegang teguh nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang teraktualisasikan melalui tradisi dan budaya yang ada. Pentransformasian nilai kearifan lokal dari generasi ke generasi oleh komunitas Muslim Jawa telah menampilkan wajah dan karakter Islam Nusantara atau Islam moderat. Komunitas Muslim Jawa di Malaysia dapat menjadi rujukan dalam membangun masyarakat Islam yang bermartabat dengan nilai-nilai Islam yang inklusif, moderat, dan toleran. Kekuatan budaya dan tradisi lokal tidak tenggelam dengan bayang-bayang purifikasi namun justru dapat bersahabat dengan nilai-nilai Islam yang inklusif, kontekstual serta toleran sebagaimana praktik keagaaman masyarakat muslim Jawa di Malaysia. Hal inilah yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat muslim Jawa di kawasan Sri Medan dan Batu Pahat. Mereka dapat menggabungkan tradisi lokal dan keislaman secara intim. Kata Kunci: Migrasi, Adaptasi, Tradisi, Kearifan Lokal

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji pola pemberdayaan komunitas muslim perbukitan di Kabupaten Kaur, Bengkulu dalam memanfaatkan dan mengolah batu alam melalui Program Sosial Bank Indonesia (PSBI). Dari proses operasionalisasinya, pola pemberdayaan memiliki dua kecenderungan: pertama, kecenderungan primer, yaitu kecenderungan proses yang memberikan atau mengalihkan sebagian kewenangan dan kemampuan kepada masyarakat atau individu menjadi lebih berdaya.Proses ini dapat dilengkapi dengan upaya membangun asset material guna mendukung pembangunan kemandirian mereka melalui organisasi; dan kedua, kecenderungan sekunder, yaitu kecenderungan yang menekankan pada proses memberikan stimulasi, mendorong atau memotivasi individu agar mempunyai kemampuan atau keberdayaan untuk menentukan apa yang menjadi pilihan hidupnya melalui proses dialog. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data perpustakaan, lapangan, dan wawancara. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Bank Indonesia melalui program sosialnya menggunakan pendekatan pertama dan kedua dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat perbukitan dengan memberikan bantuan peralatan dan juga ketrampilan serta tenaga ahli dalam pengolahan batu agate sehingga berdaya saing tinggi. Kata Kunci:Pemberdayaan, Efektifitas, Program Sosial, Bank Indonesia Abstract This study examines the pattern of hilly muslim community empowerment in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu in utilizing and processing natural stone through PSBI(Corporate Social Responsibility of Bank Indonesia). Based on its operational process, the empowerment pattern has two tendencies: first, the primary tendency, namely the process that provides benefits and abilities for the community or individual to become more empowered. This process can be multiplied by efforts to build material assets to encourage the development of their abilities through the organization; and second, secondary tendency, namely the tendency to focus on the process of stimulating, encouraging or motivating individuals to have the ability or empowerment to determine what is chosen through the process dialogue. This study uses qualitative methods by collecting library data, fields, and interviews. The results of this research conclude that Bank Indonesia through its social program uses the first and second approaches in community empowerment by providing equipment assistance, skills and experts in agate stone processing from highly competitive provinces. Abstract

Film is one of the mass media that has a function as a medium of information, education, persuasion, and also entertainment. Therefore, film can be used as a medium for conveying moral messages to the public through the scenes shown. The film Missing Cahaya de Amstel is a film with a religious genre with the theme of hijrah which contains many moral messages. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach with semiotic theory. The data collection technique in this study was by means of observation, namely observing and watching every scene of the film Merindu Cahaya de Amstel carefully. Then do documentation in the form of taking pictures by taking screenshots of scenes that are considered to contain a moral message. The data analysis technique in this study uses semiotic analysis in every scene that contains elements of a moral message with the Ferdinand De Saussure Semiotics model. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained in this study, it shows that the signifiers and signifieds are found in the scenes in the film Merindu Cahaya de Amstel and contain elements of a moral message. The moral message contained in the film Missing Light de Amstel. First, tolerance with indicators of accepting differences, respecting others, respecting other people's beliefs and allowing or not forcing desires. Second, social care with indicators of mutual help and sympathy as well as empathy or tolerance
