Abstract

Study of the Growth and Production of Upland Rice of Situ Bagendit Variety In Sludge Aplicationand Number of seedlings per hill, supervised by Ir. Jonatan Ginting, M.S. andIr. Hj. Sabar Ginting, M.S. The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial with2 factors, which are sludge (0, 30, 60, 90 g/hill) and number of seedlings (2, 4, 6, 8 seeds/hill). Theparameters measured were plant height, number of tillers, straw dry weight, root dry weight, number of panicle, percentage of empty grain, the amount of grain productive, productive grainweight, grain 1000 grain weight, and grain production per plot. The results showed that the sludgeaplication significantly affected plant height at 2 and 10 weeks after planting, the number of tillers4-10 weeks after planting, root dry weight, the amount of grain productive, and productive grainweight. Number of seedlings per hill significantly affected plant height at 2 and 10 weeks afterplanting, the number of tillers 4-10 weeks after planting, and root dry weight. The interactionbetween the sludge aplication and number of seedlings per hill significantly affected plant height at2 and 10 weeks after planting and root dry weight.

Abstract

The aims of this research to know the growth and production of corn (Zea mays L.) Pioneer-12Variety effect of pruning leaves and giving NPKMg fertilizer. This research is implemented ontrying field Tumpatan Nibung village, Batang Kuis, Sumatera Utara, Medan on April 2012 andfinished on Juli 2012. The research was done by using Completely Randomized Design (RAK)factorial consist of two factors treatment. The first factor is pruning with three levels, M0 (withoutpruning), M1 (prune two leaves) and M2 (prune three leaves). The second factor is NPKMgfertilization with four levels, yaitu P0 (0 kg/Ha), P1 (250 kg/Ha), P2 (500 kg/Ha) dan P3 (750kg/Ha). Result of the research show that the pruning treatment effects real against flowering, harvest, weight of dry shelled per sample and hundred weight of seed grain but it does not effectreal against plant height and harvest index. The fertilization treatment effects real against plantheight, flowering, harvest, weight of dry shelled per sample and hundred weight of seed grain but it

Abstract

The aim of the research was to evaluated the effect of potassium fertilizer (K) andthe planting distance on the growth and yield of onion (Allium ascalonicum L.)varieties Tuktuk. The research used Randomized Block Design with two-factors.The first factor was the doses of potasium fertilizer (KCl) with four levels e.g : K0= without KCl (control), K1=10 g KCl/m², K2= 20 g KCl/m² and K3 = 30 gKCl/m². The second factor was planting distance with three levels e.g : J1 = 10x10cm, J2 = 10 x 15 cm and J3 = 10 x 20 cm. The results showed that the diameterof tubers, wet weight of tubers per sample and dry weight of tubers per samplewere significantly affected by potasium fertilizers. The higest of diameter oftubers, wet weight of tubers per sample and dry weight of tubers per sample wereproduced by K2, whistling of each were 3,72 cm, 18,69 g and 5,61 g, but plantheight and leafs number were unsignificantly. Where as, plant height weresignifcantly affacted by planting distance were prouced by J2 e.g 16,01 cm, butleafs of number, diameter of tubers, wet weight of tubers per sample and dryweight of tubers per sample unsignificantly. Interaction of potasiumfertilizer and planting distance significantly affected the wet weight oftubers per plot and dry weight of tubers per plot. The higest of wetweight of tubers per plot and dry weight of tubers per plot wereproduce by K2J1 were 1,34 kg and 0,40 kg.__________________________________________________________________Key words: onion, potassium fertilizer and planting distance

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research was to study growth and yield of soybean varieties on different plantspacing. This research was done in PTPN 3 Afdeling VII Kebun Rambutan, Sumatera Utara. Usingrandomized block design of two factor were plant spacing (squared and penta) and varieties ofsoybean (Anjasmoro, Nanti). The result showed that plant spacing was significantly effect to plantheight at 3 and 4 WAP (week after planting). Varieties significantly effect to plant height at 4 and 6WAP (week after planting), productivity/plot and weight of 100 seeds. The interaction of plantspacing and varieties significantly effect to leaf number.
