Abstract

The strategy is a means or tool to achieve long-term goals in accordance withthe vision and mission agencies. Public relations is the process or activity that aims to establish communication between the organization and external parties and within the organization. The image is the overall impressionformed the minds of the public agency. So when put together, then the sense ofPublic Relations Strategy, which is how the effort to achieve the specified goalor purpose in accordance with the wishes continuously deliberately, in orderto establish and maintain mutual understanding between the organization andits publics.Issues examined in this study are: “Public Relations Strategies in Improving theimage of Private Higher Education in East Java (Case Study of Private HigherEducation in National Development University” Veteran “East Java)? “. Theresearch method used was qualitative research methods. Merely descriptiveresearch describing situations and events. Data collection techniques usedis through depth interview, observation and documentation. This type ofsampling used was purposive sample of the sample aimed to choose certainpeople who are considered able to represent the population, are expected tobe able to answer the research problem.From the results of this study was obtained that the Strategic Public Relations, UPN “Veteran” East Java in Improving the image using the two conceptsof strategic marketing and public relations strategies. Both strategies areanalyzed from internal and external. This study concluded that the PublicRelations Strategy UPN “Veteran” East Java in Improving image is effective,but must be supplemented by a strategy closer to the target market college, inthis case is prospective students. Image enhancement can also be achieved byimproving the quality of service and facilities as well as spiritual guidance toall the academic community, particularly students Key words : Strategy, Public Relations, Image

Abstract

Broadcasting frequencies to produce television and radio stations among the social development of society. Many hunters feel the information and radio messages telelvisi only is the right of citizens who have high capital capital. People who are in the islands is far from informasi. Information spread society must be accommodated properly by the role of the broadcasting commission (especially the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of East Java) as an autonomous body of regulation, so comes the equilibrium (balance) in the interaction between the individual or group-group man in public life. Broadcast content should be me-represent local culture, especially the culture of the people of East Java. The effort to keep the local culture from the onslaught of globalization is still serving or broadcast noble culture of East Java through the broadcast media for the next generation of Indonesia.

Abstract

Madura traditional Islamic culture started there since the Dutch colonial era in Indonesia,especially on the island of Madura. As the times , traditional culture has been fused with thecommunity Madura Madura , especially in Bangkalan. In today's era of modernity , traditionalculture has experienced a shift in meaning and cultural contestation. One example of modernculture Growing in Bangkalan Madura is Vespa trash culture fan communities. In the communitymany cultural rituals that becomes a lifestyle to be done by community members Vespa fanstrash .Vespa trash culture fan communities grows and develops as a result of the stronglegitimacy of the dominant culture in Bangkalan Madura famous with Islamic culture. Conditionsand cultural situation in Bangkalan be an interesting study to set of problems amid the dominantculture . Spradley as ethnographic data analysis techniques to look for, and gather informationfrom informants who then correlated with the conceptual framework .The results of this thesis describes the form of contestation between the fan communityas a trash Vespa subculture with Islamic religious culture of Madura in the arena of power byrisking their capital in accordance with the realm, featuring a variety of strategies to maintain(Islamic religious Madurese culture) or question the authority of the dominant culture (Vespacommunity). Boarding schools, mosques and religious rituals that culture has led to the momentthe agent out of the structure to-madurese to move to trash vespa fan community anti-structurewith culture of freedom and togetherness or referred to as liminal situation .Keywords : Lifestyle , Power Arena , Liminal Situation.

Abstract

Kemunculan film gundala memberikan arti tersendiri bagi bangsa Indonesia akan kehadiran filmyang mengangkat tema pahlawan Indonesia yaitu Gundala. Pahlawan Lokal yang menjadibudaya Indonesia masih belum diangkat dalam jagad raya perfilman di Indonesia. Hal inimenjadi peluang bagi bisnis perfilman Indonesia, mengingat kesuksesan dari film internasionalyang berjudul “The Avengers”. Momen ini yang menjadi fokus penelitian yang berjudul“Membongkar Konsep “Heroisme’ di Film Gundala” yang akan dikorelasikan denganpendekatan ekonomi politik media dengan paradigma kritis. Hal yang menarik dari penelitian iniadalah membuka produksi makna dalam relasi kekuasaan yang ada di film Gundala. Hasilpenelitian ini akan mengetahui dengan jelas relasi kekuasaan yang ada di film gundala, sehinggamasyarakat akan lebih reflektif dan kritis untuk memahami dan mempelajari suatu fenomenadalam realitas sosial di masyarakat.
