Abstract

The growth of industrial activity and increasing use of water have effected to the releasing of various pollutants into the waters, as methylene blue and copper ions. Excess levels of methylene blue and copper ions in the waters can cause ecosystem damage. This study aims to obtain biocomposites of hydroxyapatite from chicken egg shells and biochar from rice husk as well as their adsorption ability to inorganic pollutants (Cu (II)) and organic pollutant (methylene blue). Hydroxyapatite (HA) was synthesized by calcining chicken eggshells into CaO powder which is then reacted with (NH4)2HPO4. Furthermore HA was mixed with biochar from rice husk to form biocomposites. The ability of the biocomposite adsorption test was carried out by varying the time and initial concentration of the metal solution and methylene blue. Based on the results of the study, HA-biochar composites showed the best contact adsorbing time for methylene blue and copper ions 50 and 30 minutes respectively. Testing of biocomposite adsorption ability to the initial concentration of methylene blue as much as 12.79 ppm showed that the biocomposite is able to adsorb methylene blue to a residual concentration of 1.15 ppm or the maximum percentage of methylene blue that can be adsorbed by 91%. The ability of HA-biochar composites to adsorb methylene blue is better than its constituent materials (HA and biochar). HA-biochar composites was also able to adsorb Cu ions with an average adsorption percentage of 79.45% from the initial concentration.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Epithelial Papillary Angioepithelioma (EPA) yang dikenal juga sebagai tumor Dabska  adalah suatu tumor vaskular yang jarang terjadi pada rongga hidung dan  sinus paranasalis. Tindakan bedah, radioterapi dan kemoterapi serta kombinasi ketiganya adalah pengobatan utama untuk tumor ganas sinonasal. Tujuan: Memberikan informasi mengenai diagnosis dan penatalaksanaan  tumor Dabska. Kasus: Kasus langka ini ditemukan pada wanita usia 16 tahun dengan  massa tumor pada rongga hidung dan sinus paranasal yang berekstensi hingga rongga mulut. Pemeriksaan histopatologi didapatkan sel tumor endothelial yang menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan papiler. Pemeriksaan imunohistokimiaCD34 positif. Penatalaksanaan: Radioterapi preoperasi 10 kali untuk mengurangi massa tumor yang progresif kemudian dilakukan maksilektomi infrastruktur dilanjutkan radioterapi postoperasi. Dilakukan juga pemasangan protesa palatum bars postoperasi dan protesa palatomaksilaris 3 bulan pasca operasi. Evaluasi pasca operasi tampak perbaikan, tidak didapatkan infeksi maupun tanda-tanda kekambuhan,dan secara anatomi fungsi kembali seperti semula. Kesimpulan: Diagnosis dan penatalaksanaan yang cepat dan tepat dapat meningkatkan prognosis pada tumor DabskaKata kunci: Tumor Dabska, maksilektomi infrastruktur, radioterapi, tumor sinonasal, protesa ABSTRACTBackground: Epithelial papillary angioepithelioma (EPA), also known as Dabska tumor, is a very rare vascular neoplasm in the sinonasal. Surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and the combination of those three are the primary treatment for malignant sinonasal tumors. Purpose: To inform about the diagnostic and treatment of Dabska tumor. Case: We present an exceptionally rare case of EPA of the sinonasal in a 16 year old female. A well defined, reddish tumor existed at the sinonasal that extended to oral cavity. Microscopic examination revealed the endothelioid tumor cells showing a papillary growth pattern with positive imunohistchemistry of CD34. Management: Ten consecutive radiotherapies was performed preoperatively and then continued with progressive infrastructure maxillectomy andreconstructions of the maxilla, followed by postoperative radiotherapies. Postoperative management also include the mounting bars palate prosthesis and palatomaxillary prosthesis 3-month after the operation.  Postoperative evaluation showed improvement, there was no sign of any infection or recurrence, and the anatomical function returned to normal. Conclusion: Prompt diagnosis and the rightmanagement could improve the prognosis in Dabska tumors.Keywords: Dabska tumor, infrastructure maxillectomy, radiotherapy, sinonasal neoplasm, prosthesis

Abstract

A surveillance system with motion detection feature is a designed system to define whether there’s movement on surveillance. This system uses Raspberry Pi and webcamera as devices, private network across the internet, and multi-level users management. This system compares every captured frame to do motion detecting and recording the only frames detected motion. An application is designed on server to differentiate accessing privilege for every registered users and user interface for monitoring and archive of recorded video. To connect the remote Raspberry Pi and the server, there’s a virtual private network across the internet. After the implementation of the system, testing, and analysis over measuring, this system works well on detecting motion with some affecting factors like velocity of moving object, ratio of object and background, homogenity between object and background, webcam feature, and light fluctuation. Keywords: motion detection, Raspberry Pi, VPNSistem pengawasan yang dilengkapi dengan fitur pendeteksian gerakan merupakan sistem yang dirancang sedemikian rupa agar dapat diketahui apakah ada tidaknya gerakan dari objek yang diawasi. Sistem menerapkan manajemen user secara multi level, menggunakan Raspberry Pi dan web camera serta terhubung melalui suatu virtual private network (VPN). Sistem akan membandingkan setiap frame data yang ditangkap oleh kamera untuk mengetahui apakah ada pergerakan dan akan mulai merekam pada saat terdeteksi adanya gerakan tersebut. Aplikasi pada server berfungsi untuk membatasi hak akses hanya pada user yang terdaftar dan merekam video dari gerakan yang terjadi dan dapat dilihat user bilamana dibutuhkan. Ujicoba yang dilakukan menunjukkan sistem dapat bekerja dengan baik dalam mendeteksi gerakan dengan memperhatikan berbagai faktor pengaruh seperti perbandingan besar serta homogenitas objek dengan background, fitur yang dimiliki kamera dan perubahan intensitas cahaya sekitarnya.  Kata kunci: Pendeteksi gerakan, Raspberry Pi, VPN.
