Abstract

Sohun is a dry food product made from starch with a distinctive shape. In the process of making sohun using chlorine as a bleach agent and there are still chlorine remaining. The effects of chlorine in the short term cause ulcer disease and in the long term lead to liver and kidney cancer. The purpose of this research is to know the chlorine level in sohun noodle in Kemantran Traditional Market of Tegal Regency. The research method used with descriptive approach that aims to measure chlorine levels in sohun noodle in the Kemantran Traditional Market of Tegal Regency and to know the level of knowledge of sohun noodle traders with the number of samples of 5 traders of sohun noodle. The result of chlorine content in samples obtained 2 sohun noodles samples of positive using chlorine is sample B with chlorine level of 0.1 mg / L and sample C with chlorine level of 0.2 mg / L while the other 3 samples, were samples of sohun noodles A, D and E showed negative results using chlorine. And the knowledge level of sohun noodles traders in Kemantran Traditional Market of Tegal Regency is still bad. The research conclusion showed 2 samples of sohun noodles tested positive using chlorine and 3 samples of sohun noodles that were examined negatively using chlorine. Suggestions in cooperation with Tegal District Health Office to increase supervision on the use of Food Added Substances (BTP), especially in food industries and conduct guidance or counseling to existing traders in Kemantran Traditional Market of Tegal Regency about Food Added Substances (BTP) which allowed or not allowed by the government

Abstract

Air quality is influenced by many things, one of which is pollutants. Wood industry is one of the industries that produce pollutants in the form of dust. Dust-exposed workers are at risk for health and disease complaints, both infectious and non-infectious diseases (cancer). The purpose of this research is to measure the dust, temperature, humidity, wind speed and wind direction in production section of UD. Mandiri In Teluk Village of South Purwokerto Sub District Banyumas District. The type of research used is descriptive. The data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data is presented in the form of tables, drawings and narratives. The research results  total dust content in production UD.Mandiri got the result of average 2,12 mg/m3 unders the standard Permenkes No. 70 of 2016 at work place the highest dust content is allowed is 10 mg / m3. Measurement of air temperature got the result of average 33,2oC exceeds standard (24oC-26oC). Measurement of air humidity got the result of average 58,8% under standard (65%-95%), Measurement wind speed got the result of average 0,16 m/s standard wind speed (0,15-0,25 m/s), result of wind direction determination more dominant towards the Northeast. The conclusion is total dust content in production UD.Mandiri exceeds the standard Permenkes No. 70 of 2016, air temperature exceeds standard, air humidity under standard, standard wind speed, dominant wind to the Northeast. Efforts that can be made to control the dust levels in the production section are by vacuum cleaner, the owner provides personal protective equipment in accordance with the hazards present in the production section

Abstract

Along with the increasing of industry in indonesia and the use of various heavy metal materials can have a negative impact one of it is the water pollution by mercury (Hg) heavy metal. Sea water pollution has a very serious impact for the humans, especially who consume sea biota that is come from contaminated waters region. Sea biota that can be used as an indicator of heavy metal pollution is the shellfish. The purpose of this research is to determine the amount of heavy metal mercury (Hg) in the green shells that is sold in Purwokerto Banyumas Regency. The kind of this research is descriptive research. Green shells (pema viriois) samples that are inspected 3 samples. The respondent of this research are green shell seller at Puwokerto Banyumas regency as much as 3 respondents. The Inspection of mercury heavy metal content on green shell using SSA method at The Great Hall of Industry Pollution Prevention Technology  (BBTPPI ) Semarang. The Result of merkury (Hg) heavy metals measurement from the green shellfish sample at DK seller 0,022 mg / kg,  DKR seller 0,022 mg / kg, and SHS seller 0,021 mg / kg The green shell of DK sample is taken from Alam Indah Beach at Tegal, DKR sample is taken from Kartini sea at Jepara, and SHS sample is taken from Widuri sea Pemalang. The result of  respondent knowledge about the danger of mercury (Hg) on the green shell is 28% of Mr A sample respondents, 24% of Mr B respondents and 42% of Mrs C respondents. The researcher  concluded that the amount of mercury (Hg) heavy metal on 3 samples of green shell has fulfilled the requirements of the Obal and Food Supervisory Agency of the Indonesian Republic No.HK.00.05.1.52.4011 Year 2009 about the deermination of the maximum contamination limit of microbial and chemical in thr food that is 1.0 Ppm or mg / kg
