Abstract

The worship song’s number displayer is a device that useful to show numbers of worship song into seven segment display using bluetooth as medium communication. This device is using handphone as a transmitter to write an input number which will be shown, a microcontroller to process the input data, bluetooth module as a receiver, and seven segment display as a number displayer.Realization of the device is provided by making the circuit diagram on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and software which is using Java programming language on the handphone. The device experiment is provided by making a trial for each block and also entirely. The conclusion that can be made from the experiment is this device can work well at the maximum range 24 meters in the room with no obstacles, and 14 meters in the room with obstacles. Keywords:  bluetooth, microcontroller, seven segment

Abstract

Knowing heart rates while doing physical exercises is very useful to achieve maximum exercise results. The use of manual method to measure heart rates during physical exercises is not possible; therefore a tool to monitor the heart rate continuously while doing a physical exercise is needed. This research aimed at designing a heart rate monitor to be used during the physical exercise.  The heart rate monitoring was done with reflective photoplethysmography method using a pair of white LED sensor and photodiode. The heart rate monitor made was compared with other heart rate monitor products using photoplethysmography technique. The test results showed that the tool can be used during the physical exercise having a better response rate than the similar products tested. Keywords: heart rate, heart rate monitoring, photoplethysmography, exercise

Abstract

This paper will discuss the security entrance system with RFID as an identification and detection of the personnel who will access the door of every room that has been fitted with RFID systems. RFID or Radio Frequency Identification Detection is the process of identifying a person or object using radio frequency transmission. RFID security system was applied to the door in the neighborhood Ukrida. Factor of safety, automation, and time efficiency is considered in this study.  Keywords: pengaman pintu masuk, mikrokontroler, RFID

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan sumber energi alternatif yang bersih dan berkelanjutan mendorong pengembangan teknologi sel surya, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan material semikonduktor lapisan tipis. Seng oksida (ZnO) merupakan salah satu kandidat material yang menjanjikan karena memiliki celah pita lebar, transparansi optik tinggi, serta kemudahan dalam proses fabrikasi. Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan purwarupa sel surya berbasis lapisan tunggal ZnO dengan prosedur pelapisan menggunakan metode doctor blade pada substrat PCB berpola sisir sebagai elektroda konduktif. Pasta ZnO dengan konsentrasi 40% disintesis dan diaplikasikan secara merata, kemudian dikeringkan untuk membentuk lapisan homogen. Dua variasi celah elektroda, yaitu 1 mm dan 2 mm, digunakan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh konfigurasi elektroda terhadap kinerja perangkat. Karakterisasi dilakukan secara optikal melalui pengukuran transmitansi dan absorbansi, serta secara elektrikal dengan pengujian tegangan keluaran pada kondisi gelap, paparan sinar matahari, dan sumber cahaya buatan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa lapisan ZnO memiliki absorbansi tinggi pada panjang gelombang 300–500 nm, yang penting dalam proses fotogenerasi muatan. Sementara itu, sel surya dengan celah 2 mm menunjukkan kinerja elektrikal lebih baik dibandingkan dengan celah 1 mm, ditandai oleh tegangan bocor lebih rendah dan tegangan keluaran lebih tinggi.

Abstract

The commercial synthesis of fatty acid esters of glycerol is important because it can be used for other derivative production varieties. This research aims to construct the quality monitoring system for esterification condition faster and more efficient for the production of esterification glycerol. The monitoring systems were based on the measurement parameters from two inputs LED mid IR 3,4 and 5,5 μm sensors that using the data acquisition with computer database via USB 2.0 using Arduino Leonardo microcontroller and classifying the esterification quality condition using the classification method K-Nearest Neighborhood (KNN) The purpose of KNN method is to classify the variations of parameter inputs from the LED mid IR sensors in quality monitoring. In this research the condition of esterification was divided into three conditions: not good, fair,good., these classification was trained and tested in Orange Software for data mining using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve that is a graphical plot that illustrates the excellent performance of a classifier system for esterification condition with AUC . In application for quality monitoring, the influence of various parameters such as temperature set in the reactor has relation to the quality of product. By using this system, we obtained the optimum process conditions is 200oC and time needed for the process was 200 minutes.
