Abstract

The main issues that have been encountered in PT Surya Toto Indonesia is companies do not know how to measure the performance of the production process so as the utilization of resources that will be used isn’t yet to be known with efficiently. The purpose of this case studies is creating a better production processes by proposing a better and systematic scheduling information system. An Object Oriented Analysis and Design method is used to determine system’s requirements and design of the system architecture. Metaheuristic methods such as Discrete algorithms Levy-flight Firefly is used to improve the performance of the Hybrid Flow Shop machine scheduling become more better. Indicators that are used to determine the performance of the scheduling is makespan and lateness. Results from this algorithm is makespan value of 305.27 hours with lateness value of 10.92 which determine that there is no delays in scheduling. Scheduling information system was designed three primary capabilities, which are integrated data management, inventory management and a systematic and accurate scheduling system.

Abstract

Supply chain management plays an important role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing industry business process. In this research, the problem is taken from a sales division in a company in determining the optimal sequence when delivering goods into nine cities. This problem is oftenreferred as travelling salesman problem. This problem is considered important since the optimal sequence can cut off operational cost. Creating an artificial intelligence for the company in determining the location and the optimal sequence of delivering goods is the main objective of this research. A genetic algorithm is utilized to determine the location and the optimal sequence. While for processing the data and concluding the result, researcher designed a Java-based application that provides the capability of automatic computing. The result of this computation is a sequence of locations with a fitness number for each. The best fitness number for the sequence location will be used for the final result and the conclusion to answer the company?s problem.

Abstract

Efektif diperlukan untuk mencapai target organisasi, tetapi efektif tanpa efisiensi merupakan blunder organisasi, dampak minimalnya adalah keuntungan yang diperoleh tidak akan maksimal, sedangkan terparahnya adalah outcome yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan revenue yang diperoleh, dampak ini tidak lain adalah implikasi dari tidak efisiennya penggunaan sumberdaya yang dimiliki, baik sumberdaya manusia, material, mesin, waktu, dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian di pabrik es batu ini membahas tentang aplikasi dari metode CDS untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dari perancangan urutan kedatangan Job, dimana pada penelitian ini job yang dimaksud adalah kedatangan job atas spesifikasi pesanan jenis es batu yang berbeda namun menggunakan rangkaian mesin yang sama, selain mengetahui jumlah mesin dan job serta jumlah dan urutan proses produksinya, penelitian juga menghitung waktu proses setiap job di dalam setiap mesin. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah masukan untuk perusahaan berupa urutan pengerjaan job yang paling efisien dari segi waktu, dimana urutan terbaik adalah J3-J6-J7-J2-J1-J5-J4, dengan nilai makespan 69, dan total flow time 344.   Kata Kunci: efisiensi, metode CDS, urutan job Abstract   Effectively is necessary needed to achieve organizational goals, but effectively without efficiency is a blunder for any organizations, the lowest impact is benefits received would not maximal, while the highest impact is where the outcome is greater than the revenue obtained, those impacts  is effects of inefficient used of resources owned, such as human, material, machinery, time, and so forth. This research located at the ice factory focused about the application of the CDS method to improve the efficiency of the sequencial design of job arrival, where on this research, job defined as the arrival of  jobs refer to different ice specification orders, but use the similar machinery series, in addition to knowing the number of machines and job, total number and sequence of the production process, the study also calculates the processing time of each job in each machine. The results of this research is the input for company constitute the most efficient jobs sequential, where the best sequencial is J3-J6-J7-J2-J1-J5-J4, with makespan 69, and total flow time 344.
