Abstract

Abstrak Berdasarkan data BMKG tahun 2014, temperatur udara di Kota Bandung semakin meningkat. Hal ini mempengaruhi kenyamanan termal pada ruang di dalam hunian. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut masyarakat Bandung cenderung menggunakan alat pengkondisian udara (AC) sebagai alternatif instan, padahal penggunaan AC cenderung meningkatkan biaya operasional harian rumah. Pemilihan material kulit bangunan merupakan salah satu teknik pasif untuk mereduksi suhu udara luar. Pada penelitian ini, teknik pasif yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan material pengisi dinding luar yang mampu mereduksi suhu udara luar. Material foam concrete dipilih sebagai material pengisi dinding isolator termal pada hunian untuk dibandingkan dengan material batu bata. Pada objek uji akan diukur suhu, kelembaban dan kecepatan angin, kemudian dilakukan analisis dengan tujuan memahami sifat material tersebut sebagai insulasi termal. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meminimalisir penggunaan alat mekanik seperti AC yang berdampak pada efisiensi biaya operasional. Kata kunci: Hunian, Kenyamanan Termal, Foam Concrete, Efisiensi Energi Listrik. ABSTRACT Air temperature in Bandung increases every year according BMKG’s 2014 data. It affects to thermal comfort inside houses. To overcome this situation, people tend to use air conditioning as an instant alternative, wheares the air conditioning will increase the daily operating cost it’s user. In this research, passive technique as an alternative method is used by choosing wall material which is capable in reducing the outside temperature. Foam concrete is selected as a wall material and will be compare to brick. Temperature, humidity, and wind speed are researched and analized to value the effectiveness as each wall materials of a thermal insulation. out comes of the research can be an alternative in minimalizing the operational cost of electricity while using AC. Abstract

Abstract Gunung Padang is the oldest prehistoric megaliths in Indonesia which has a function as a place of worship for the people who settled there about 2000BC according to its orientation and philosophy. Meanwhile after dark ages, people knowledge on building shelter arises therefore many traditional houses are build and had their philosophy implemented such as the vertical and horizontal beliefs in relation of human, nature, and divinity. This study concerns architecture identity correlation of place in the two eras because of cultural transition which can be observed until now. Gunung Padang has a similar vertical concept identity compare to Sundanese traditional roof according to both philosophy if the highest place is the most sacred place and describes the relationship between human, nature and divinity. The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between Gunung Padang and the Sundanese traditional roof concept in religion and cultural aspect. Qualitative methods that leverages vernacular theory is used of the analysis methods.     Key Words: Gunung Padang, identity, Sundanese traditional roof.
