Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur hubungan antara harga diri dan iklim sekolah dengan perilaku mencontek pada siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 2 Sleman, kelas VIII. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitiian ini adalah teknik purposif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan skala sebagai alat ukur. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala perilaku mencontek, skala harga diri, dan skala iklim sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara harga diri dan iklim sekolah secara bersama-sama dengan perilaku mencontek pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Sleman. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini tidak diterima. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa prediktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku mencontek hanya harga diri, sedangkan iklim sekolah termasuk dalam prediktor yang tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku mencontek. Sumbangan efektif harga diri terhadap perilaku mencontek sebesar 6,5% dimana itu berarti bahwa ada 93,5% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku mencontek yang dapat diteliti lebih jauh. Hasil analisis korelasi parsial antara harga diri dengan perilaku mencontek menunjukkan hubungan negatif yang signifikan (r parsial = -0,254, dengan p=0,004). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan perilaku mencontek. Harga diri adalah faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap perilaku mencontek. Kata kunci: harga diri, iklim sekolah, perilaku mencontek ABSTRACT This study was aimed to determine the relationship between self-esteem and school climate with cheating behavior in students. Subjects on this study were 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sleman both male and female. Sampling method which used in this study was purposive sampling technique and use quantitative research method with scale as the measurement of variables. The scales that used are Cheating Behavior Scale, Self-esteem scale and School Climate Scale. The results of this study showed that there are no negative results that significantly affect self esteem and school climate to cheating behavior on students at SMP Negeri 2 Sleman which means the hypothesis of this research was not acceptable. The results of this study also showed that the predictors that influence cheating behavior is self-esteem only, while the school climate was included to the predictor that has no effect on cheating behavior. Effective contribution of self-esteem to cheating behavior is 6.5% and 93.5% means there are other factors that affect the appearance of cheating behavior that can be dug deeper. The result of partial correlations between self-esteem by cheating behavior also showed a significant negative correlation (r partial = - 0.253, p = 0.004). It suggests that there is a significant negative relationship between self-esteem with cheating behavior. Self-esteem was an influential factor in cheating behavior. Abstract

This study aims to reveal how the meaningful life of individuals who have experienced violence in their childhood. Questions to be answered in this study is how the process and the dynamics of fulfilling the meaning of life in individuals victims of violence in children. This research involved two subjects who experienced violence in different forms. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews on the subject and some significant others who can provide additional data. The research data were analyzed using content analysis method in qualitative approach. The result of analysis shows that the process of fulfilling the meaning of life on the victims of child violence through three pillars, namely freedom of action, the will to live meaningfully, and the meaning of life in which contained the meaning of life purpose. While the source of the meaning of life is derived from the value in attitude, where both subjects choose the attitude of taking the lessons of the tragic events they experienced in the form of violence in childhood. The researcher hopes for further researchers to expand the scope of the research to the extent of the process of forgiveness and how the process of life goals of each subject guides their current lives.
