Abstract

Local Probiotics Microbial Effect on Improvement of Hybrid Maize Production.Nationalmaize needs continue to increase every year, either for food, feed and industrial raw materials. To meetthis requirement Indonesia have to do import corn because the production at the farm level is still lowdue to poor application of resource integrated crop management (ICM) including the use of localprobiotic microbes.This study aims to determine the effect of applying maizeintegrated resourcemanagement ( ICM - maize ) using Local Probiotic Microbial fertilizer. The experiment was conductedin the village Cicurug, Majalengka Subdistricts, District Majalengka using a Randomized Block DesignComplete (RCBD), with four treatments and six replications. The treatment of local probiotic microbeswere: the dose of 3 l ha-1 Agri Simba, the dose of 3 l ha-1 Agri Simba + 1.500 g of urea, the dose of 6l ha-1 Agri Simba, and a dose of 6 l ha-1 Agri Simba + 3.000 g of urea. The results showed that the doseof applying local probiotic microbes (Agri Simba) has significant effect on growth, yield componentsand yield of hybrid maize varieties P-21.The highest yieldof dried shelled beans was 12.20 t ha-1achievedby the dose of 6 l ha-1Agri Simba+ 3.000 g urea.The lowest yield was 8.73 t ha-1 that obtained at doseof 3 l ha-1 Agri Simba. The componentsthat support tne yield of theP-21 hybrid maize wereweightofcob, number of rows per ear and weight of 100 grains.

Abstract

The increme of Wetland Rice Production with New High Yieldding Varieties The use of high yielding variety (HYV) is one of the technology components that supports rice production, besides fertilizer and irrigation. Yet the use of HYV is still slowly adopted, resulting in continuing previous varieties application. The objectives of the research were to determine the HYV with the highest yield implementing integrated crop management (ICM). The location of research was in Tanjung Sari village, Pondok salam subdistrict, Purwakarta residence in 2009 dry season. The new seven HYVs (Inpari 1, Inpari 2, Inpari 3, Inpari 4, Inpari6, Inpara 2, and Aek Sibundong) were treated with randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications. The results showed that Aek Sibundong variety had the highest crop height, the number of panicle per hill, and the filled grain percentage. Aek Sibundong variety had 11.7 t/ha grain yield, while that Inpari 2 had 8.26 t/ha. There were significant correlation between dry yield and the number of panicle per hill and the number of grain per panicle, with the value of 4.470 and 0.479, respectively.

Abstract

Assessment of Various Fertilizer Recommendation on Growth, Yield Components, and Yield of Inpari 1 Rice Variety. Integrated fertilizer application to new high yielding variety (HYV) and irrigation technology give largest contribution to rice production with supports of good practices and pest and disease control (IPM). Therefore, an assessment on wetland rice production with four fertilizer recommendation such as : package, ICM, NPK+LCC and PuPS (Site Specific Fertilizing on Rice). It was used Randomized Block Design with four replications were conducted in Tanjung Sari village, Pondok Salam subdistrict, Purwakarta district, in dry season 2009. The objectives were to obtain the best fertilizer recommendation on growth, yield components, and yield of Inpari 1 rice variety. The results showed that fertilizer recommendation of NPK+LCC significantly affected plant height, number of tiller, and number panicles per hill of Inpari 1 variety, while number of total grains per panicle, filled grain number per panicle, 1000 grain weight, and dry grain yield were not affected by fertilizer recommendation (Package, ICM, NPK+LCC, and PuPS). Fertilizer recommendation of NPK+LCC increased yield of 0.84 t/ha compared that to package recommendation.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kalium pada pertumbuhan dan hasilserta untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk kalium yang memberikan hasil maksimum pada ubi jalar varietasNarutokintoki. Penelitian dilaksanakan dilahan sawah musim kemarau tahun 2008 di Desa Wanasari, KecamatanWanayasa Kabupaten Purwakarta, Jawa Barat. Pupuk kalium sebagai perlakuan disusun berdasarkan RancanganAcak Kelompok dengan empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari : pupuk kalium dengan dosis60, 120, dan 180 kg K2O/ha dan tanpa pupuk K (kontrol). Ubi jalar yang digunakan adalah varietasNarutokintoki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pupuk kalium memberikan pengaruh yangnyata terhadap panjang sulur, berat hijauan, jumlah umbi, berat umbi dan hasil ubi. Pada pemupukan kaliumdengan dosis 120 kg/ha K2O dapat meningkatkan hasil ubi sebesar 10,55 t/ha. Peubah yang memberikan korelasinyata dengan hasil ubi jalar yaitu peubah jumlah umbi per rumpun dan berat umbi per rumpun dengan nilai rmasing-masing sekitar 0,680* dan 0,789*. Hubungan hasil ubi jalar dengan tingkat pemupukan kaliummembentuk regresi kuadratik nyata dengan model persamaan Ŷ = 5,255 + 251 X - X², R2 = 0,90*. Padapersamaan ini untuk mendapatkan hasil optimum ubi jalar varietas Narutokintoki diperoleh pada dosis 125,5 kgK2O/ha.Kata kunci: pupuk kalium, ubi jalar, lahan sawah ABSTRACTThe study aims to determine the effect of potassium fertilizer on growth and yield and to get a dose ofpotassium fertilizer that gives optimum results in sweet potato Narutokintoki varieties. The experiment wasconducted in 2008 dry season at rice field of Wanasari village, Wanayasa District, Purwakarta Regency, WestJava. Potassium fertilizer as treatments have been prepared on randomized block design with four treatmentsand six replications. Treatments consisted of: potassium fertilizer with doses of 60, 120, and 180 kgs K2O ha-1and without K fertilizer (control). Sweet potato used were Narutokintoki varieties. The results showed that theuse of potassium gives a real influence on the long shoots, foliage weight, tuber number, tuber weight and tuberyield. At a dose of potassium fertilization of 120 kgs K2O ha-1 can increase tuber yield into 10.55 tha-1. Variablesthat provide real correlation with the results is variable number of tubers per hill and tuber weight per hill withrespective r values around 0.680* and 0.789*. Relations between tuber yield and potassium fertilization ratewas significantly quadratic regression model equation Y = 5.255 + 251 X - X ², R2 = 0.90 *. In this equation toobtain optimum on tuber yield of Narutokintoki varieties was obtained at doses of 125.5 kgs K2O ha-1.Key words: K fertilizer, sweet potato, kice field

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dan menentukan takaran pupukmajemuk NPK (30-6-8) tanpa atau ditambah pupuk organik Kujang terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman dan hasilpadi varietas Inpari 13, di daerah pengairan setengah teknis di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Rancangan AcakKelompok digunakan dengan lima perlakuan, yaitu 300 kg/ha pupuk NPK Kujang, 500 kg/ha pupuk organikKujang dan 300 kg/ha pupuk NPK Kujang, 500 kg/ha pupuk organik Kujang dan 400 kg/ha pupuk NPK Kujang,400 kg/ha pupuk NPK Kujang, serta 500 kg/ha pupuk organik Kujang dan 350 pupuk NPK Kujang. Hasilpengkajian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk majemuk NPK (30-6-8) tanpa atau ditambah pupuk organikKujang tidak meningkatkan pertumbuhan jumlah anakan, kecuali pada pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan hasilgabah kering panen. Pada takaran 300 kg/ha pupuk majemuk NPK (30-6-8) tanpa pupuk organik Kujangmendapatkan hasil gabah 7,76 t/ha GKP.Kata kunci: pupuk majemuk NPK (30-6-8), pupuk organik Kujang, Varietas Inpari 13ABSTRACTObjective of this study was to determine the effect of compound fertilizer (30-6-8) without orsupplemented with Kujang organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of rice Inpari 13 in the semi-technicalirrigation in Purwakarta. The study showed that administration of compound fertilizer (30-6-8) without addedorganic fertilizer Kujang had no effect on the number of tillers, whilst that had significantly effect on plantheight and yield of dry grain harvest. At dose of 300 kg /ha, the NPK compound fertilizer (30-6-8) withoutorganic fertilizer Kujang was achieved grain yield 7.76 t/ha GKP.Key words: NPK composite fertilizer (30-6-8), organic fertilizer Kujang, rice variety of Inpari 13
