<![CDATA[Metode Technique For Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) adalah suatu metode pendukung keputusan multi kriteria pertama kali perkenalkan oleh Yoon dan Hwang pada tahun 1987, yang menggunakan prinsip bahwa alternatif yang terbaik tidak hanya memiliki jarak terpendek dari solusi ideal positif tetapi juga memiliki jarak terpanjang dari solusi ideal negatif. Dalam penelitian ini metode TOPSIS dimanfaatkan dalam pemilihan mahasiswa beprestasi. Data yang digunakan mahasiswa stambuk 2017 jurusan Matematika di Universitas Negeri Medan, kriteria yang digunakan sesuai dengan pedomn Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi yang dikeluarkan oleh DIKTI, seperti; Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK), Mini Riset, Prestasi, dan TOEFL. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa perangkingan Pemilihan Mahasiswa Prestasi sesuai dengan perhitungan standrat dari pedoman yang dikeluarkan oleh DIKTI. Abstract— The technical Method for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) was a first multi-criteria decision support method introduced by Yoon and Hwang in 1987, which used the principle that the best alternative does not only have the shortest distance from the negative ideal solution. In this study the TOPSIS method was used in research of outstanding students. The data used by STAMBUK 2017 students majoring in mathematics at the State University of Medan, the criteria used in accordance with the guidelines for selecting outstanding students issued by Dikti such as: cumulative achievement index, mini research, achievement and TOEFL. The results of this research show that the ranking of student achievement selection was in accordance with the standard calculation of the guidelines issued by the Directorate of Higher Education.]]>
