Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi statistika, (2) mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi statistika setelah diajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah di kelas IX SMP Negeri 30 Medan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam 3 kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX-7 SMP Negeri 30 Medan tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 34 orang. Berdasarkan hasil tes diagnostik diketahui hasil belajar siswa rendah dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 55,58. Setelah pemberian tindakan pada siklus I dengan menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, tingkat ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa adalah sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 70,14 dengan 22 siswa atau 64,7% dari keseluruhan siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar dan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran adalah 2,44 dengan kategori baik. Selanjutnya, setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus II, tingkat ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa adalah tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 80,3 dimana jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar sebanyak 30 siswa atau 88,23% dari seluruh siswa dan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran adalah 3,21 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan statistika di kelas IX-7 SMP Negeri 30 Medan pada Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018.  Kata kunci : Hasil Belajar, Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Statistika. ABSTRACT This study aims to (1)  find out whether the application of problem-based learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on statistical materials, (2) to know how to improve student learning outcomes in statistical materials after being taught by applying problem-based learning model in class IX SMP Negeri 30 Medan. This study is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle is implemented in 3 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class IX-7 SMP Negeri 30 Medan academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 34 people. Based on the results of the diagnostic tests are known low student learning outcomes with an average grade grade of 55.58. After giving the action in cycle I by applying Problem-Based Learning Model, student's classical learning completeness level is medium with average score 70,14 with 22 student or 64,7% from all student have reach learn masculinity and ability of teacher to manage learning is 2, 44 with good category. Furthermore, after the implementation of the action in cycle II, the student's classical learning completeness is high with the average grade grade 80,3 where the number of students who have achieved mastery of learning as many as 30 students or 88,23% of all students and the ability of teachers to manage learning is 3,21 with very good category. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that Problem-Based Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of statistics in class IX-7 SMP Negeri 30 Medan in the academic year 2017/2018. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Problem Based Learning Model, Statistics.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menigkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajara berbasis masalah pada materi aritmatika sosial di kelas VII-3 MTsN Pematang Siantar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-3 yang berjumlah 40 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah  pada materi aritmatika sosial. Berdasarkan analisis data setelah pemberian tindakan pada siklus I melalui pemberian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis I diperoleh 20 dari 40 siswa (50%) telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar  sedangkan 20 siswa lainnya (50%) belum mencapai nilai ketuntasan. Setelah tindakan II, melalui pemberian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis II diperoleh 40 dari 40 siswa (100%) telah berhasil mencapai nilai ketuntasan belajar . Terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 50%. Berdasarkan kriteria ketuntasan klasikal maka persentase ketuntasan ini sudah memenuhi. Nilai rata-rata tes pada siklus I yaitu 68,50 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 88,17. Peningkatan  nilai rata-rata yaitu sebesar 19,67 dan berada pada katagori tinggi. Berdasarkan uraian di atas disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah matematika mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa  pada materi aritmatika sosial. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study are students of class VII-3 MTsN Pematang Siantar T.A 2017/2018 which amounted to 40 people. The object of this research is the problem solving ability of mathematical students by applying problem-based learning model on social arithmetic material. Based on data analysis after giving action on cycle I through giving of mathematical problem solving abilities test I obtained 20 from 40 students (50%) have achieved learning mastery (≥70) while 20 other students (50%) have not reached the value of mastery. After action II, through the provision of a mathematical problem solving test II, 40 out of 40 students (100%) have achieved the learning completeness score (≥70). There was a 50% increase in classical completeness. Based on the criteria of classical mastery then this percentage of completeness has been fulfilled. The average value of the test in cycle I is 68.50 and on the second cycle increased to 88.17. The increase in the average value that is equal to 19.67 and is in the high category. Based on the above description it is concluded that the learning model based on mathematical problems can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities on social arithmetic materials in class VII-3 MTsN Pematang Siantar T.A 2017/2018.Keywords: Problem Solving, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills. This type of research is quantitative research. From the research results, it was obtained that the average value of the class taught using the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model was 86.9 and the class taught using the conventional learning model was 74.7. To test the hypothesis is done using the t test, from the calculation results obtained tcount 5.293 a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, then reject H0 and accept Ha, it is concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model ( TTW) on students' mathematical communication skills. Then an effect size value of 4.08 > 1.00 is obtained which is in the high category.

Abstract

This research aims of determining the validity and practically of a product, a mathematical learning medium based on android developed with help of iSpring suite software and Microsoft powerpoint on Geometry for student of class VII in the State Junior High School 1 Air Putih. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development meodel (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Air Putih, Dusun II Village of sipare-pare, Kecamatan Air Putih, Kabuppaten Batu Bara, North Sumatra. The subjects of this study were 23 students of class VII-5.The research instruments used are field study instruments in the form of observations and interviews, validation instruments as validation sheets, as well as practicality instruments such as responding sheets of students and teachers. The data analysis techniques used in this research are field study instance data analysis such as interview results, data analysis of validation of learning media and analysis of data practicality learning media.Based on the results of the evaluation by the material experts and media experts obtained the result that the learning media developed has an excellent level of validity. The level of validation obtained from 4 people material validator and 4 people media validator received highly valid criteria for validation of material with a presentation of 95.3% and included highly valid Criteria for media validation with presentations of 95,6% including into criteria very valid so that it can be said that the learning media developed is very worthy to use. At the stage of practicality performed by the pupils and teachers obtained an excellent level of practicability with presentations from pupils of 92% and presentations of teachers of 100% so it can be said that the learning media developed into the criteria very practical. The conclusions of this study show that the android-based mathematical learning medium on the built-up material of the space that has been generated is very valid and very practical so that it can be used in the learning process.
