Abstract

The increasing use of Instagram is dominated by users around the age of 15-30 years. The majority who followed in Instagram were famous public figures such as celebrities, political figures and religious leaders. With this Instagram, da'i or preachers can convey their messages easily and free through photos and captions or short videos. This study is important to see how Instagram as a new media is able to become a trendsetter for wellknown Ustadz like Felix Siauw and Hanan Attaki. This study uses a qualitative research method using the framing model as proposed by Robert N. Entman by observing how a discourse or communication is displayed in the public space. The finding confirmed that the framing model of Felix Siauw and Hanan Attaki has similarities in preaching Islam through Instagram social media using short posts or short videos and interesting captions. However, both of them have different tendencies, in which Felix Siauw is more dominant in discussing social and political issues while Hanan Attaki is more dominant in discussing good advice or about love between men and women.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul perpustakaan sebagai sentral servis benih (sumber) informasi. Tujuan dari penulis yaitu untuk mengetahui benih (sumber) informasi yang tersedia di perpustakaan dan konsep servis informasi di perpustakaaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan. Cara pengumpulan data menggunakan buku, jurnal, dan makalah yang berkaitan dengan materi tersebut. Penelitian ini mengarahkan agar perpustakaan sebagai sentral servis benih (sumber) informasi. Untuk mendapatkan informasi kita harus kenal dulu dengan sumber informasi yang tersedia di dalam perpustakaan. Sumber informasi tersebut seperti sumber informasi primer, sekunder, tersier, dan terbitan berseri, koleksi referensi dan servis informasinya harus ditingkatkan secara mutakhir untuk menunjang kegiatan sevitas akademika.ABSTRACT This research is entitled a library as a central servicing of information resources. The purpose of the writer is to know the seeds (sources) of information available in the library and the concept of service information in the library. This research uses the library (literature) method. Data collected using books, journals, and papers related to the material. This research directs the library as a central service for information resources. To get the information we need to know first with the resources available in the library. The information sources such as resources, primary, secondary, tertiary, and serial publications, reference collection and servicing of cutting-edge information must be upgraded to support the activities of academic sevitas.

Abstract

Humanity in the today’s modern age linked closely to information and communication technology. Advancements in the area of information and communication technology have changed the very basis of human interactions, including the way people make sense of reality. The presence of cyberspace as a second life of humans, according to Mark Slouka, has led to three different understandings of reality, namely: destopian which views pessimistically, optimistic neofuturists, and more critical techno-realists. In this paper, the author will present one reflection on cyberspace displayed in a Movie by Wally Pfister called "Transcendence". This research applies qualitative method by observing scences featuring in the movie. Findings reveal that virtual reality displayed in "Transcendence" falls into the category of neofuturists. This conclusion is obtained based on identification of the representation of reality, identity, community, and space displayed.Keywords: Film, cyberspace, neofuturists.
