Abstract

Tuduhan pelanggaran hukum pidana yang tertuju pada anggota keluarga datang secara tiba-tiba. Hal ini membuat prasangka-prasangka buruk keluarga muncul terhadap anggota keluarga tertuduh. Saat putusan sidang membuktikan bahwa anggota keluarga menjadi terdakwa dan harus menjalani proses hukum selama beberapa tahun, perasaan terkejut, kaget, kecewa dan sedih kerap muncul pada anggota keluarga lainnya. Saat terdakwa menjalani proses hukuman, stigma bahwa terdakwa bersalah dan rasa kecewa muncul menjadi penyebab rusaknya hubungan keakraban dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengkaji pengalaman komunikasi keluarga narapidana dalam mempertahankan intimate relationship. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Adapun teori yang digunakan meliputi intimate relationship, relational maintenance, dan influence on perception. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan fakta komunikasi jeruji besi pada keluarga narapidana berupa : 1) Terdakwa terapkan komunikasi terbuka dengan keluarga. 2)Terdakwa merasa menjadi lebih kuat, berani dan tenang karena dukungan istri. 3)Keluarga menerima terdakwa apa adanya. 4) Keluarga shock (sementara waktu) saat putusan terdakwa. 5) Perilaku anak bisa berubah pasca putusan dakwaan. Kemudian usia anak dalam lingkaran keluarga terdakwa menjadi pertimbangan orangtua dalam mengkomunikasikan kasus pidana ayahnya. Persepsi anak sangat dipengaruhi oleh pembentukan persepsi dari orang tua dan juga lingkungan lapas yang nyaman dan kondusif. Lalu saat terdakwa menjalani proses hukuman di lapas, dengan maintenance behavior berupa ekspresi ceria, optimis yang ditampakkan dan saling menyemangati, rasa cinta yang dibuktikan dengan bahasa verbal dan nonverbal (sentuhan, pelukan, kebersamaan, kesetiaan, hadiah, kejutan, dan candaan), pembagian peran dan tugas pada suami istri secara adil, intensitas kunjungan keluarga ke lapas tinggi, dan sering melakukan kegiatan bersama di lapas seperti bermain games, mengerjakan PR anak, dan sharing dalam teori relational maintenance akan membuat kedekatan keluarga terpelihara dan bisa dipertahankan dengan baik.

Abstract

Social media is internet-basic media, functioned as interaction media room based on multimedia technology. And social media created some effects. One of the negative effects of social media is haters phenomena. Haters are a person who easily said dirty words, harass, and humiliate to others. This phenomena causes anxiety—especially in Indonesia, even the Government issued public policy and letter of regulation about this phenomena, through Paragraph 27 verse (3) IT Constitution, Paragraph 45 verse (1) IT Constitution and Kapolri Letter SE/6/X/2015. Haters phenomena increasingly uncontrolled even many public figure affected by this phenomena. Goals of this research are to understand the impact of social media for haters phenomena and to understand haters attitude in social media and in their real life. Methodology of this research is combination of quantitative and qualitative method with case study approach. The theories are Social Media Effect, Verbal Aggressive, and Impression Management. The result of this research shows: (1) High frequencies of social media usage make haters feel addict. (2) Someone who online more than other, tend to open their selves easily. (3) The haters think if verbal aggressive that they do is positive way to criticize something. (4) The haters’ attitude in social media and in their real life is similar. (5) Characteristics of verbal aggressive are shown by all haters. (6) The haters think that their attitudes in social media are the way to show their positive-face to the public. Whereas their attitudes are tend to aggressive communication. The conclusions of this research are social media cause addiction effect that construct haters’ mind and attitude. What they already show to us through social media is their real-life attitude. Aggressive communication is a form to criticize something as their effort to show their positive-face. The suggestion are, surveillance to social media usage, activate the regulations for haters’ phenomena, and socialization the effect of social media in the schools.

Abstract

The emergence of reality show programs on various television stations became a unique phenomenon to the community. Trans TV station became one of the famous private television that has many programs in television reality show, one of which is Janji Suci Raffi & Gigi. The program presents stories about the private lives of households Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina, as well as the story of the people around them. The purpose of this study is to determine audience reception of the private sphere celebrity audience through Janji Suci Raffi & Gigi. This research is using descriptive-qualitative with reception analysis by Stuart Hall. The theory used receptions Analysis Stuart Hall. Data collection techniques performed by using in-depth interview to four informants which is audience of Janji Suci Raffi & Gigi. The outcome from this research showed that the audience of Janji Suci Raffi & Gigi viewing entertainment programs such as serving personal life of Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina and the people around them. Audience actively interpret the message on Janji Suci Raffi & Gigi dynamic and change according to the displayed context and background of each. Audience reception to the celebrity’s private sphere, all matters outside his profession as an artist, it could be households, personal conflicts, and other personal life. So that the pro and cons of the feasibility of a private space in the public airing television. Some informants agree some do not agree with that. Factors that influence the differences in the position of the informant is the educational background, culture, and gender.

Abstract

Based on the principle of conformity, a person tends to prefer a partner who has in common with him. But as the times goes by along with the era which is increasingly open, we have encountered inter-racial relationships, including in Indonesia. When couples come from different cultural backgrounds, the values, rules, standpoints, habits, and methods that used in relationship must also be different. The characteristics differences are tend to be the cause of conflict on inter-racial relationships. Especially for those who have contrast cultures such as Javanese-European couples. The method that used in this reserach is qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The purpose of this research is to understand style of conflict management on inter-racial relationships. The theories that used in this research are Triangular Theory of Love, High and Low Context Cultures, and Conflict Management. The results of this reserach indicates: (1) Both couples are belong to fatuos love. (2) The couples who come from different countries have different cultural characteristics. (3) Generally the conflict that occurs on inter-racial relationships is about misunderstanding which triggered by cultural characteristics differences, stereotypes, prejudice and ethnocentrism. (4) The couples using model, form and combination of a specific patterns to resolve the conflict. (5) There is a difference of opinion regarding to conflict resolution that using the assistance of third party. This research concluded that the couples using different model, form and combination of a specific patterns to resolve the conflict. Usually the Javanese women use avoidance at the beginning of the conflict, while the men who come from Europe use competition and accommodation to resolve the conflict. We can suggest the couples to have disclosure so the conflict can be minimized and solved easier. They can ask a trusted third party to help searching the solution if it needed.

Abstract

College Student Movement Organization of Indonesia is inseperable part from politic reformation of Indonesia. “Agent of Change” is the appropriate word to describe them. However, after politic reformation of Indonesia, college student movement as if experience derivation of image among college students. Viewed from reduction of college students participation to join college student movement organization.This study aims to understand and comprehend about image of college student movement organization, using qualitative and quantitative (mix method). The concepts which used by this study are related with image of stakeholder and public relation. The study found image of college student movement organization after reformation of Indonesia politic.The findings were compiled in a few points: 1) Positive image of college student movement organization viewed as popular, have good personality, closer, have qualified qadres and loyal to intra campus organization in intra campus’s organizational. Then, have qualified leadership, have good academic capability, improtant for Indonesia, innovative, have good contribution for Indonesia’s future, attractive to follow, have competence and talented cadres in intra campus’s organizational, have good communication with stakeholder, be responsible to their activity. 2) Negative image of colege student movement organization viewed as unpopular in common college students’s perspective, not closer with common college students, key stakeholders have compound perspective in cadre’s personality, key stakeholders have compound perspective in cadre’s loyality for intra campus organizational, have not loyal perspective to Indonesian people’s impotance, inra campus organizationals have less competence perspective about college student movement board’s management, key stakeholders have compound perspective for cadre’s qulified, intra campus organizationals have less good perspective about transparence about fund source and management. All negative images of college student movement organization relate to stakeholder reaction are on disappointment and surprise level with trust damaged on trust questioned (which may recover rapidly)and trust dented (which recover by good public relationship). The effort to restore stakeholder trust are with openness and expose related to gaits, activities, and values which embraced bu college student movement organization to stakeholder. Then do some internal revamping for college student movement organization cadres related to first oriented cultivation and values of organization.

Abstract

Rebranding, an attempt or enterprise which is undertaken by the company or institutions to completely change or renew an existing brand to make it better. Rebranding is not just a logo change, but also includes; the change of messages, change of how aprroaching consumers, providing new services, or even changes about what has promised to the consumers. One of the reasons why Indosat conducted a rebranding due to the change of management / strategy occurs in the company, such as changes in leadership or merger; or it can be purchased of a company through the other hand, became one of the strong reason to conduct a rebranding. Therefore, the aim of this study is to describe how to think about stakeholders responding the rebranding conducted by Indosat, especially the external stakeholders. All forms of information and new services, obtained by the community during the Indosat’s rebranding process, those are divided into several stakeholders experienced the difference in the admission process and ways of thinking about rebranding information. According to Elaboration Likehood Models related with the persuasive message. Indosat’s rebranding information was received by the stakeholders as a new message. In accordance with the Elaboration Likehood Models’s stages, the results of this study indicate that Indosat’s rebrandring message information is processed only at the stage “ability to process” by the most of the stakeholders. They choose to take the peripherals path as low motivation of the persuasive message, because they consider the communication needs, include in the low-involvement. The stakeholders consider that communication is an important requirement, but not considered as a necessity that requires high attention and involvement in making a purchasing decision. The rest, the other stakeholders also appreciate that Indosat’s decision is appropriate and successful, seen from the mutual cooperation that they can build in their attempt for being the best provider in Indonesia.
