Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the parental communication to reduce the uncertainty in mental retardation children. The method that used in this study is qualitative research with phenomenological approaches. The theory that used is Uncertainty Reduction Theory. The research found that the experience of communication uncertainty that experienced by parents occurs when they have to deliver a message, such as teaching something or giving an understanding of a certain condition because their children tend to be slow processing and don't care about the parents condition. Other than that, the uncertainty increases because parents can’t know for certain what the children’s thinking. Parents with mild mental retardation children have a tendency to treat their children as same as normal children because the lack of visible difference, while parents with moderate mental retardation can put themselves in a better position. Even so, parents keep accepting whatever the condition and hoping that their child can develop even better. 2 The emotional closeness and self disclosure that intertwined also giving a part to affect how the development of the relationship between parents and child. Parents who are closer and open to children have a warm and close relationship than those who don’t. The parents realize this things makes the uncertainty that arises when interacting can be managed well and create an effective communication because children do the reciprocity. With it, parents can understand better the children with mental retardation.

Abstract

Photography appears to reach the goal of objectivity, because it is believed to be able to expose visual reality. One type of commercial photography that has a fairly high appeal is fashion photography or model photography. The experience gained from the world of photography is quite diverse, a lot of people are starting to take interest in becoming photographers and models because of their fondness of taking and to be taken picture of. However, being a model and photographer is also not always going well, there are many problems regarding bad experience and media coverage that vilify the model profession and photographer. This problem arises because there is no openness and closeness between the model and the photographer. The method used in this study is qualitative research with phenomenological approaches. The purpose of this study is to describe the essence of the party's experience in photography. The theory used in this study is Phenomenology and Self Disclosure. The finding in this study indicates that the main reason for the models in choosing their job is money. While the photographer’s reasons are pleasure or hobby and passion that is within the photographer. Then, the bad experience felt by the model was produced through the unpleasant treatment obtained from the photographer. And when the model got the unpleasant treatment, the thing that the model did was trying to be professional. This unpleasant treatment received from the photographer resulted in a traumatic experience to the model. Meanwhile, the unpleasant experiences felt by the photographer were when the model was often late to come to the location of the photo session and when faced with a model which had a bad attitude. Furthermore, when doing a model selection, the criteria that usually used by photographers are their physical appearance, models that have ideal posture and are pleasing to the eye. The closeness experienced by the model and photographer will form an impressive experience felt by the model. And the closeness that exists between the two will also determine the good and bad results of the photos. The conclusion in this study is that bad relationships will occur if there is no communication between the photographer and the model, because there is no openness generated from communication, then closeness will not occur and there will be no good experience created between the two, even the results of the photos will also be bad if there is no chemistry between the model and the photographer.

Abstract

One of the most popular is one of the most popular. When someone asks about another person, they might have lots of questions about other people that will be asked to other people who will think about it or will be asked to people who make this a person who wants to know about others as if it is good enough before your opponent he spoke. The assessment of him is what ultimately makes the account owner in a special social media is Instagram that can be ordered compilation will be taken alone. Instagram unconsciously influences a person's insecurity which ultimately makes individuals needed to worry about any content that they poultry to meet certain standards. The existence of standards in social media makes a person feel unable to freely think whatever he feels and experiences because he will be afraid of being judged by others for the content they have on poultry on a special social media, which makes every individual can construct Different identities on the same account that is instgaram or in other words have more than one account on the same social media but have a different identity on each account that it uses. This study shows the stage used on the main account and the stage used by the owner on his alter account, thus creating a different identity on each account. The theory used in this study is Dramaturgi's theory in which the account owner represents an actor who is playing his role on Instagram social media.

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding a relationship between prominence of product placement and placement modality with placement recall in Korean serial drama Goblin. The theory used is the theory of isolation and the theory of dual coding. The sampling technique uses nonprobablity sampling conducted purposively with a total sample of 35 people with criteria is a Korean drama enthusiast, have watched the Goblin drama series, aged 15-25 years and live in the city of Semarang. Testing is done by Chi Square test Fisher Exact Test formula. The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between prominence of product placement and placement recall. These results are obtained from the significance of the hypothesis test which shows the number 1,000 (1,000> 0.05) which means it is not significant for the F&B category. Whereas the electronic and toiletries and cosmetics categories cannot be tested statistically. The next results show that there is also no relationship between placement modality and placement recall. Hypothesis test results for the F&B category showed a significance number of 0.648 (0.648> 0.05) and an electronic category of 0.400 (0.400> 0.05), which means not significant. While the toiletries and cosmetics category cannot be tested statistically.

Abstract

Nurhadi-Aldo is one of the political humor accounts in Indonesia. Nurhadi-Aldo is known as a fictitious candidate to attract the attention of many people. This account is widely discussed because the content is quite entertaining and unique. The content produced by Nurhadi-Aldo is a persuasive message where he inserts an invitation to choose himself as a candidate. This triggers pros and cons in the community. This account comes amid the heat of the presidential election atmosphere which is divided into two camps namely Jokowi and Prabowo. The emergence of this phenomenal account then caused a stir in the community. There are those who take it seriously and some who take it easy. This has led to different attitudes and emerged during the presidential election. This research can be explained through the Elaboration likelihood model theory, which can predict attitudes from persuasive messages. Sampling in this study was carried out using incidental sampling techniques. This research is a case study type using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate the informants used the two channels of persuasion message processing in the @ Nurhadi-Aldo account, namely the central and peripheral paths. The peripheral processing channel appears marked by the interest of the informants towards funny pictures and memes about Nurhadi-Aldo, while the central channel arises when the informants involve their critical thinking to make many considerations before changing their attitudes. From both lanes, the informants in this study were dominant using the central lane. From the two uses of the persuasion message processing channel arises changes in attitude involving cognitive, affective and conative responses in each individual. The dominant attitude that appears tends to be negative because the results of information processing indicate that more informants do not support Nurhadi-Aldo.
