Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a model of fashion life skill instruction in empowering learners to reach a self reliant entrepreneurship. Research and development method through seven steps of research was used. The seven steps consisted of empiric (field), Literature review, conceptual model arrangement, model verification, model experiment (implementation), analysis and model revision, and final model. The study was conducted at PKBM (community learning center/CLCs) in Bandung regency. Research subjects were learners of CLCs who chose field of dress making, where learners of Jayagiri CLC were the control group and those of Gegersunten were experiment one. Results of study showed that the model of life skill instruction in the field of dress making in Community Learning Center proved effective in improving learners’ ability to achieve entrepreneurship independence.

Abstract

Teacher before starting the task as a teacher, he must first learn to understand all of theschool curriculum and education programs being implemented. Included should be known that isbuilding classrooms, libraries, study facilities, school equipment, teaching aids, and all the tools thatare useful for teachers. The success of education is not only determined by the accuracy of selectinga model curriculum design and implementation, but also by the completeness, quality andappropriateness of the use of education resources. Teachers can help enhance the completeness offacilities, media and resources to develop their own learning. In performing the duties of a teacherneeds to conduct cooperation with parents, with community agencies, and occasionally bring studentsto visit the objects that would need to know the students in the school curriculum framework. Besidescarrying out their professional duties in the school, the teacher shall also participate in communityactivities and improve the role and qualifications of the profession. The role of teachers in performingtheir duties as a lecturer and demonstrator, teacher as a good manager, and teacher as evaluator,that the process of evaluation is generally centered on the students.Key Words: Teacher, Competence, World of Work, Industrial Clothing

Abstract

Tujuan jangka panjang dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan Model Pendidikan Profesi Guru Terintegrasi Kolaborasi SMK Produktif Berbasis Riset. Target khusus yang dicapai dari penelitian tahun ke dua ini adalah menghasilkan: (1) Model Pendidikan Profesi Guru Terintegrasi Kolaborasi SMK Produktif, (2) Bahan Ajar Pendidikan Profesi Guru Terintegrasi Kolaborasi SMK Produktif, (3) Instrumen penilaian proposal dan laporan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, (4) Artikel hasil penelitian yang diplubikasikan dalam jurnal nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development; meliputi tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan model dan tahap uji validasi model. Pada tahap studi pendahuluan dilakukan: (1) Studi penjajagan ujicoba model, (2) Penetapan subjek ujicoba model Pendidikan Profesi Guru Terintegrasi Kolaborasi SMK Produktif berbasis Research. Pada tahap studi pengembangan dilakukan: (1) Ujicoba Model Pendidikan Profesi Guru Terintegrasi Kolaborasi SMK Produktif berbasis Research, (2) Evaluasi dan penyempurnaan model. Pada tahap uji validasi model dilakukan: (1) Validasi Model melalui Expertjudgement akhli dan praktisi, (2) Evaluasi dan penyempurnaan model hingga menghasilkan Model Pendidikan Profesi Guru Terintegrasi Kolaborasi SMK Produktif berbasis Research sebagai Model Final.
