Abstract

A conventional learning model that is still used in the mathematics learning process at school causing less active students in the class because they are just sitting, listening, and make a note when the teacher explains the lesson. This is experimental research aimed at finding out the cooperative learning model's effectiveness between type TGT (Teams Games Tournament) and NHT (Numbered Heads Together). This research population consists of 4 classes from seventh-grade students in State Junior High School 1 Turi Sleman (SMPN 1 Turi Sleman) in 2017/2018. This research uses a purposive sampling technique, where VII C and VII B as an experimental class. Instrument tests include validity tests, power differentiator tests, and reliability tests. In analyzing the data, this research uses an analysis prerequisite test consisting of a normality test and homogeneity test. The hypothesis test uses two t-tests and a one-party test. Two t-tests, with a significant level of 5% and 61 degrees of freedom, show that  and =1,99996 with the result  > . It shows that  denied and  accepted, which means there are differences in learning mathematics results in seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Turi Sleman using cooperative learning model type TGT with type NHT. Based on the calculation of a one-party t-test with a significant level of 5% and 61 degrees of freedom, it shows that  and = 1.670385 with the result > . This indicates that   is denied and  accepted, which means that cooperative learning model type TGT is more effective than type NHT reviewed by mathematics learning result of the seventh-grade students SMPN 1 Turi district Sleman in the academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Learning outcomes is the accomplishment of the learning process. Low mathematics outcomes are influenced by factors that come from within or outside the students’ self. For example, a low ability of interpersonal communication makes the interaction of students with other people uncomfortable, and a less conducive learning environment can reduce the concentration of students during the learning process. The study aims to determine the relationship between the ability of interpersonal communication and learning environment with mathematics learning outcomes in student class XI Science (IPA), even semester of State Senior High School 9 Yogyakarta (SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta) in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of class XI IPA, even semester of SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, which consists of 5 classes with some 148 students. Samples were taken with a random sampling technique and derived class XI IPA 5 as a sample class with 28 students.  Data collection techniques use a questionnaire method to collect data on the ability of interpersonal communication and learning environment and test method mathematics achievement test. Test instruments used for validity and reliability. Test requirements analysis was a normality test, a test of independence, and a linearity test. Analysis of the data for testing hypotheses used linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the ability of interpersonal communication and learning environment with mathematics learning outcomes in student class XI IPA even semester of SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017. Abstract

The Cooperative learning model is still rarely used as an alternative solution to overcome passive learning. This study aimed to compare the cooperative learning Snowball Throwing model and Two Stay Two Stray toward mathematics outcomes of eighth-grade students in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Godean Sleman regency on the odd semester academic year of 2017/2018. The population in this study was eight grade students consisting of 5 classes. The sampling technique uses a random sampling technique that was by lottery class. From the lottery earned that grade VIII A class experiment as Snowball Throwing class and VIII B class experiment as Two Stay Two Stray class. Mathematics learning outcomes data obtained using the test method in the form of objective questions. Analysis of the data used analysis prerequisite and two-tailed t-test and one-tailed t-test. The test results obtained by the two-tailed t-test  = 2,4718 and  = 1,9979 mean  >  with a significance level of 5% and 67 degrees of freedom, which means  was rejected. This suggests that there were differences in mathematics achievement between students who use the cooperative model of the Snowball Throwing and cooperative model of Two Stay Two Stray. One-tailed t-test result obtained that  = 5,0423 and  = 1,6690, it means  >  with a significance level of 5% and 67 degrees of freedom, which means  was rejected. This suggests that the learning outcomes of students who use the cooperative model of Snowball Throwing were better than learning outcomes of students who use the cooperative model of Two Stay Two Stray toward mathematics of eighth-grade student SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Godean Sleman regency on the odd semester academic year of 2017/2018.

Abstract

The learning process, which is monotonous and has no variation, will make students bored easily. Even learning that focuses on the teacher's effects, students tend to be passive and not accustomed to showing their opinions. Most of them are seen to be silent when the learning process is going on. In that case, it needs an effort to improve students’ learning activity. This research is aimed to improve Mathematics learning activity with cooperative learning model type TPS (TPS) for students class XI Science 3 at State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. Data is gathered by using an observation sheet and interview. This research belongs to action research, which contains two cycles. The research subject is students of XI Science 3 SMAN 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. Whereas the object of the research is to improve students' Mathematics learning activity with cooperative learning model type, TPS for students class XI Science 3 at SMAN 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. In collecting the data, the writer uses an observation sheet and interview. The research results show that cooperative learning model type TPS can improve the Mathematics learning activity of XI Science 3 at SMAN 1 Dukun Magelang Regency in Academic Year 2017/ 2018. This case is proved from the result of the observation of Mathematics learning, which works out increasing on each cycle. On cycle, one average presentation of the result of students' observation of Mathematics learning activity is about 49,53%. On cycle II average presentation of the result of students' observation of Mathematics, learning activity is about 70,27%. From the interview result, it can be explained that common students are interested and feel pleased in learning Mathematics with cooperative learning model type TPS.

Abstract

Based on the observation in State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 5, Kebumen obtained some information that the lack of student mathematics understanding, motivation learning is still low, and parents' lack of attention in learning activities. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive relationship between and significant relationship among the mathematics understanding, motivation learning, and parent's attention with learning achievement mathematics students class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kebumen academic year 2017/2018. This research population was the students of  VIII grade in SMP Negeri 5 Kebumen in 2017/2018, consisting of class  VIIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC, VIIID, VIIIE, and VIIIF, totaling 192 students. Samples were taken from VIIIB as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect the data motivation learning, parents' attention, and test method to understand math results. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of learning, independent learning, and parents' attention with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta academic year of 2016/20167. Abstract

This research is motivated because, in learning mathematics, students' problem -solving abilities are still low. Students have not been able to understand the problem given. This is Indicated by many students who cannot determine what is known and what is asked in the problem. This study aims to determine the Collaborative Problem Solving Learning Model (CPS) effect on Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability. This research is an experimental study with a research design using a 2-2 factorial design. The population of the study was all VII grade students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 3 Depok in the even Semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The sample used in this study was to take two classes. Randomly, namely, class VII A as a control class and VII D as an experimental class. Data collection Two techniques using the test. The data analysis technique used two-way Anava with prerequisite test analysis of normality test and homogeneity test and continued with LSD test. The results of this study can be concluded: (i) Fobs(A) > F0,05;1;66, there is an influence of learning model factors on mathematics learning outcomes, (ii) Fobs(A) < F0,05;1;66, there is no influence of students mathematical problem-solving ability factors on results students mathematics learning, (iii) Fobs(A) < F0,05;1;66, there is no interaction between the factors of the learning model and students mathematical problem-solving abilities towards student mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa yang rendah berhubungan dengan banyak faktor. Motivasi belajar, kemandirian belajar dan fasilitas belajar adalah tiga faktor yang diduga berhubungan dengan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar, kemandirian belajar dan fasilitas belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas XI MA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa XI MA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2017/2018 terdiri dari 3 kelas. Kelas sampel yaitu kelas XI B dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket motivasi belajar, angket kemandirian belajar, angket fasilitas belajar, dan tes hasil belajar. Uji instrumen penelitian menggunakan uji validitas, uji daya beda, dan uji reliabilitas. Uji prasyarat analisis meliputi uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan uji independen. Analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis korelasi sederhana dan analisis regresi ganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar, kemandirian belajar dan fasilitas belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika. Pada taraf signifikan 5%  dan ,  dengan koefisien korelasi ganda R = 0,879 dan koefesien determinan ganda 9 dengan persamaan regresi ganda tiga variabel yaitu .
