Abstract

Majapahit road is one of important roads in Semarang city which is the entrance to the city from the East bound. There are adjacent intersections on this road with distance only 70 m, namely Jalan Majapahit - Jalan Fatmawati intersection and Jalan Majapahit - Jalan Soekarno Hatta intersection. This adjacent intersections have been causing long delay and high degree of saturation, especially at morning- and afternoon-peak hours . This study aims to analyze the performance of the intersections, and to provide recommendations to improve the traffic performance by applying various scenarios using Synchro plus SimTraffic 7.0 program. The scenario proposed were conducting traffic management, widening the road, and so on.To ensure that Synchro program can be used in the simulation, validation of the Synchro’s results was performed by comparing them with those of Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. The analysis produced that at this moment, the intersectionscannot serve well the flow of traffic, as shown by the degree of saturation of the intersections that exceeded 0,75.Several scenarios have been made to solve the problem of congestion at intersections and the among them, traffic management is the best one that could be recommended.However, the implementation of the scenario needs the local government to play the role in issuing regulations which could reduce the volume of vehicles passing through the intersections such as increasing public transpor contribution, imposing three-in-one systems, electronic road pricing system, or as well as other policies.

Abstract

Nowadays as the mobility of a person develop tends to require a shorter time, where time is a commodity that can’t be saved or stored so that time is very important to everyone. In this case the time value changes according to the level of income. When faced with two choices of Ring Road and Existing Road Ambarawa, person with high income levels tend to more appreciate the value of time by choose a route that has a value of time much more efficient. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of the time value of road users traveling in the magnitude of Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC) for route selection on the Ring Road and Ambarawa Existing Road with Logit Binomial Model. The methodology of this research is to analyze the value of travel time Income Approach method is used, then to analyze the results of the calculation of the Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC) formula used PCI (Pacific Consultant International), and then to analyze the route selection with Logit Binomial Model. Results of the analysis can be concluded that the greater the time value of road users, then the probability of route selection-A also increased, due to the time value of road users with greater income, more important than the time value of road users with lower incomes.

Abstract

Developing facilities and infrastructures on the highway in the form of planning, operational designing, and research need the value of Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) is a very important factor, necessary survey traffic volume for one year by a collector's gate toll, (365 days) will be a need of time and cost, so, to predict AADT is used data traffic of previous year.Secondary data obtained from the permanent counter PT. Jasamarga (Persero). Tbk Semarang AADT 2013 and 2014 at the toll gate section A (Manyaran-Jatingaleh), section B (Jatingaleh-Tembalang), and section C (Jatingaleh-Muktiharjo) Data Analysed good for obtaining characteristic and to predict value AADT with expansion factor. Based on analysis the characteristic at Semarang tollway, hourly traffic pattern increasing at busy hours and single peak hour 6% from ADT. Daily traffic pattern increasing active day around 12-16% and decreasing at weekend around 4% and the annual traffic pattern of urban variation behavior with different needs of individual route in mobility and the value of hourly expansion factor for section A 16,98-52,44,section B 15,99-76,46 and section C 16,21-69,44, daily expansion factor section A 6,63-7,95, section B 3,75-4,21 and section C 6,61-7,97 ,monthly expansion factor section A 0,83-1,081,section B 0,55-1,18 and section C 0,82-1,068 with confidence level 68,7%. applicable to next year AADT predictions.

Abstract

Tourism is a sector that can potentially be developed to finance local expenditure. Especially Semarang City Government, actively prosecuted in tourism development with the potential to manage objects in the city of Semarang. Old City is one of the attractions that are less optimized, so that the East Canal Flood Basin Development Semarang can increase tourism demand in the Old City is the transport stream that is integrated with the shuttle bus in the Old City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the East Flood Canal apart as if the flood control can also be used as the transport stream as the water tourist destination in the city of Semarang. Methodology used in the study of development of River Flood Canal Tmur Semarang As river transport to destination covering methods of qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative method with a questionnaire to determine the potential demand in the Old Town, while the quantitative method with HEC-RAS program to analyze hydrological and determine discharge plans. Ouput obtained from this study is the use of river tourism speedboat 8 m 2 open with 8 m long, 2.2 m wide and 0.4 m draft and is integrated with the shuttle bus pick-up two levels. Ship Operating Costs amounted to Rp 1,052,717,443,-/year for a fee ranging from investments to cost management and management with 8 times the trip in one day. Rates are charged per passenger Rp 18 208, - for a one-way trip.
