Abstract

Road of Semarang – Godong is a type of road 2/2 UD currently under repair and greatly affected the result of the open – closed system, so the road was made the object of research. The aim of the research was to analyze the characteristics of the traffic, looking for the relationship between the volume of arrivals – long queues – the length of the work zone and reviewing traffic management system in the work zone. Analyze that done are analyze on existing condition and traffic management system with a length of 1,070 km using the method of the approach to the junction signal with two phases on MKJI 1997. This analysis also simulated on the variant length of the work zone. The results showed an analysis of existing conditions with observations data each cycle can’t proceed, so analysis only use data classification. The system settings can minimize the length of the traffic queues and the degree of saturation. From the results of the simulation of different length work zone obtained a value of DS and the minimum of the queue length 0.2 km. Other results obtained is increasingly large flows of arrival on-site queue getting longer, but the rate of increase in the existing conditions in the queue is larger compared to the results of the analysis of the traffic management system. Further research is required related factors on damage to roads and the length of the segment that is most optimal. To streamline traffic settings can use APILL portable or using more appropriate implementation method.

Abstract

Siliwangi – Walisongo road is a primary arterial road which connects the city of Semarang and Kendal. Siliwangi – Walisongo road. Siliwangi – Walisongo road is a track of “Pantura” which always crowded with traffic all the time. The density of traffic flow on the Siliwangi  – Walisongo road pose a high risk of accident on the road. Accident data from November 2012 till Oktober 2013 which obtained from Polda Jateng reports indicate that on the Siliwangi  – Walisongo road KM SMG 7+200 – KM SMG 8+100 there were 16 cases with 4 victims died and 13 were lightly wounded casualties. Based on the description above, it is necessary to analyze the accident on the accident prone area. This study begins by doing  library research and survey advances, then procced with collecting the secondary data and primary data. Primary data in the form of survey complatness infrastructure and road situations. Secondary data in the form of accidents on Siliwangi – Walisongo road KM SMG 7+200 – KM SMG 8+100, cross sectional and longitudinal images path, the data volume of the vehicle and the map of Siliwangi – Walisongo road. Method of analysis consisted of analysis of the relationship between variables, accident rate based on  distance and accident rate based on vehicle miles. The result showed, the volume of vehicles has a close relationship with a number of accidents that occur, the most influential factor of accident is the driver, and the driver’s lack of anticipation is the  largest  factor  of accidents. Accident rate based on distance resulted thah accident rate on segment 6, segment 13 and segment 16 exceeds the upper limit of the accident rate, while the accident rate based on vehicle miles, each segment doesn’t exceed the upper limit of the accident rate.

Abstract

The traffic growth volume continues to rise rapidly, especially in the city of semarang. This makes the occurrence of the traffic congestion during the rush hour especially at the intersection, one of the roads as well as on the road Dr. Cipto Semarang. This analysis aims to expedite traffic on the road Dr. Cipto by way of coordinating intersection and intersection Sidodadi Kartini. Survey data was collected directly at the second intersection at peak hours in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The data used is the flow of the vehicle, signal timing, vehicle travel speed, queue length, and geometric intersection. The survey results are then processed using the guidelines Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. Analysis calculated intersection with three conditions, namely existing, optimally, and scenarios. After comparing the results obtained between the existing, optimized, and the scenario it was decided to use the optimal conditions due to a better outcome. Then do the coordination with the optimal conditions, to coordinate both the signalized intersection, the planning is done is to equate the two junctions cycle time, in the morning peak hour cycle time 82 seconds, 75 seconds at afternoon, and 100 seconds at evening. From the distance between the intersection and the vehicle speed obtained offset value is 36 seconds while the bandwidth at peak hours in the morning for 25 seconds, 22 seconds during afternoon, and 32 seconds at evening. While the efficiency of the coordination of the two intersections of 30.48% for the morning, 29.33% for the afternoon, and 32% for the evening. Performance of coordination is good enough for the level of short-term treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that the performance of the intersection is reviewed to be better than the initial condition.

Abstract

Pelindo III in 2015 was to improve the infrastructure in the port of Tanjung Emas in order to enhance the activities of loading and unloading of goods export import, as appropriate based RIP (Port Master Plan) Tanjung Emas Semarang in 2030, as well as to support ARTG. RIP in accordance with the construction of road access to the container terminal is a top priority for improving the infrastructure in ports of Tanjung Emas. Segment planned access road will have to be in the area of container terminal. Planning the access road to the container terminal is planned by the method of Britsh Standard and Highways with a path length of 925 m, which starts from STA 0 + 000 who are on the road coster port of Tanjung Emas and ends at STA 0 + 925 is the area CY1 (Countainer Yard 1) container terminal. Planned traffic lanes 2 lanes one way, without the median, without the shoulder of the road, a width of the road 10 m, side channel 1 m, with a design speed of 60 km/h.

Abstract

Kendal regency as satellite city of Semarang has established a mutual relationship and completing each other. The economic development and population insde the rural area of Semarang and Kendal regency has raised up since the street of Jerakah - Mijen has been widened in 2004 - 2012. This can be seen during working hour in which Semarang - Kendal road was fully filled by vehicles especially motorcycle. Based on this, the research must be done to reduce the congestion that occurs around the Semarang - Kendal. This study aims to perform modal choice modeling with stated preference methods, so that the government can take better policies to support the operation of the BRT Semarang - Kendal route. The survey was conducted by spreading the questionnaire and interview that consist of socio-economic characteristic of the respondent, route characteristic, and questionnaire that is organized through stated preference technique with additional attribute namely, the margin of route cost and margin of time used of departure between motorcycle and BRT Semarang-Kendal route. Study sites were around the Semarang - Kendal and on the bus route Semarang - Kendal. From the research result, it is shown that the choice of vehicle is based on the margin of route cost, namely UBRT – USM = 1,2353 - 0,0007 (ΔX1). Meanwhile, the choice of vehicle based on the margin of time used is UBRT – USM = 2,61336 - 0,17441 (ΔX2). In addition, the choice of transportation mode based on margin of cost and time is UBRT – USM = 2,6683 - 0,7365ΔX1 + 0,00219ΔX2. The potential of the shifting of passenger from motorcycle to BRT based on the route cost is 74%. Whereas, based of time used is 50%, and 32% is based on both choices. In addition to modeling mode choice, we need to Traffic Demand Management (TDM) are both on regular lines Semarang - Kendal, because the fundamental purpose of building a BRT route Semarang - Kendal limited only to reduce congestion caused by the use of motorcycles in bulk.

Abstract

Central Java and East Java is separated by the Bengawan Solo River. To support the activities of transportation which across Central Java and East Java, was Bengawan Solo Bridge built on the road Cepu -Padangan on Blora KM SMG 160.09. Bengawan Solo Bridge consists of two bridges, Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge and Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge. Since 1994, only Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge which operated, while Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge had no function anymore because the condition is not feasible. Along with the growth and movement patterns of traffic, it was found that in certain conditions, especially during peak hours, often seen queues of vehicles will cross the Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge. This is based on the value of Degree of Saturation (DS) Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge is 0.78 (> 0.75), which indicates the traffic condition is already unstable. Therefore, operating Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge again can be a solution to the congestion and potential overload that occurs. However, to realize that, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge needs to be redesigned considering exsisting condition is not feasible and the age of the bridge is already very old. As the technical and aesthetic considerations, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is designed by considering the condition of Bengawan Solo Baru bridge so that the Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is planned use steel structures for the upper structure and reinforced concrete structures for bottom structure. After that, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is designed to serve traffic from Cepu to Padangan with the type of road 2/1 UD (two-lane one-way) which has a width of 6 meters and width of sidewalks 2 x 1 meter. The planning of traffic aspects use a life design for 25 years with the traffic growth by 2,472% per year. Implementation of Construction is at a cost of 33.4 billion. The scope of the planned bridge elements in this thesis includes work for the overall structure bridge and approach bridge.

Abstract

Sarang Weighbridge is one of the busy weighbridge that serve freight vehicles in the province of Central Java. With the large number of vehicles to be serviced will cause potential queues at the weighbridge. This study aims to determine the pattern of queues that occur at weigh stations and provide a recommendation to the appropriate queue system to be applicable to the Sarang Weighbridge, so it can increased the performance of the weighbridge.The method used to analyze queues in this study is the simulation method. This method is used because there are many variables at Weighbridge queuing system so it will be very difficult when using the methods of mathematical analysis. Simulation begins with field survey data. The data is used to perform the simulation and the results are then tested for compliance with the Poisson distribution . From the simulation results will then be made a better queuing models. Based on the analysis that we did, needed a better queuing system and the need to improve the infrastructure and human resources in order to better service on Sarang Weighbridge
