Abstract

Cooperative aims to build and develop the potential of the economy or the ability of members in particular and society in general to improve the economic and social welfare. To that end, the existence of the village cooperative must participate actively in efforts to enhance the quality of human life and society, strengthen the economy of rural communities as the basis for the strength and resilience of the national economy, and strive to realize and develop the economy of which is a joint effort based on the principle of family.In this study, refers to a theory Flassy (2009) as an instrument of research include parameters that become social resources KUD cooperatives or social capital that became Bumi Asih enter and influence on senuah empowerment of cooperatives, including public trust, social norms, and social networks. The study uses a quantitative approach with the research method used descriptive in explaining the results. Then the instrument of data collection include observation, questionnaires, study the documentation relating to the purpose of research.The results showed that the Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) Bumi Asih Village Kabun can be perceived positively by members of the KUD Bumi Asih. This is due to social capital or social resources strongly held, either in the form of trust fellow cooperative members and officials as well as community, social norms, and social interaction and social networks are intertwined, so that the effect of the presence of KUD Earth supporting conditions of social and economic life of society , namely with established social relationships and the creation of jobs for rural communities Kabun in line with the development of the business units within the KUD Bumi Asih.Keywords: Village Unit Cooperatives, Social Capital, Trust (Trust), Social Norms, Social Networking.

Abstract

According to Boudrillad (2004), there is a tendency in the community to do consumption or buying something not because the value of advantages, but because the lifestyle. Consumtive behavior only intended for people who like to purchase goods without care to the its advantages. This is a phenomenon that occurs on student of social and political science faculty at the RiauUniversity. But, on the other hand this behaviour has a function for survival like the ability to keep the existence of students in the their community. Life style on social and political science student at this time shows the lifestyle that the shopaholic, so that it can be categorized into several typologies of shopaholic. The purpose of this research is to find out students who haveshopaholic lifestyles which seen from the student's profile and to find out the dominant typology of shopaholic that occurred among students of social and political science faculty. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative, by using the technique of accidental sampling, interviews, observation and documentation.The results of this research show that students of social and political science faculty at theRiau University haveshopaholic lifestyle mostly come from students who live at the boardinghouse as well as earn money monthly from their parents. The cause of Shopaholic lifestyle on students is the willingnesstokeep their existence in social environment. The typology of shopaholic onstudents of social and political science faculty at the RiauUniversity is compulsive shopaholic, where they become a shopaholic because want tokeep their existence and because most of students were bored in study and othersactivitiesat the campus.Keywords: Lifestyle, Shopaholic,Consumtive

Abstract

This research aims to know the profile of the commuter society, social relations and commuter society activities in the Sibam River subdistrict of Tapung Kampar regency. This research uses descriptive quantitative method based on distribution of limited questions according to the theory that used. The subject of this study is specified by cluster sampling. This method is a technique of sampling in the form of special units such as religions, groups, tribes, nations. Cluster sampling did not choose individual as sample unit, but chose groves population as a member unit of the population based on the division of neighbourhood groups of commuter society who lives in the Sibam river as many as 65 commuters. The result of this research shows that the mostly of commuter have been domiciled in the hamlet of Sibam River. The commuter society profile is very diverse in terms of social background, economic aspects and the ownership of the asset. the pattern of public relations in commuter society is mechanics solidarity. There is a positive relations between commuter society with neighbors that called primary social relations. Then, relations between commuter with workers and with the chief in work place arguably the secondary social relations.Keywords: Profile, Commuter Society, Activity
