But sometimes they have a lot of goodness/strength such as: patience, diligence and carefulness. Actually, the female students have a good potential in learning foreign language especially English. They are not only good at IQ but also EQ & SQ that really support to be successful in learning English. But other wise sometimes some female students are easy to feel worried and nervous. They feel week and inferior. Being worried, nervous are negative thing that sometimes appear when the learning process happens or when they use English in every opportunity. They are lack of self confidence to use/practice English. Writing is an important skill in English that has to be learned by the students beside the other language skills. The students of non English department especially have difficulty to do writing in English. They do not only have lack of vocabularies in English, but also low motivation to do writing skill. NLP (NeuroLinguistic Programming) in English learning process can be used to help and motivate the students become aware at a feeling level of doing writing through game of using picture. NLP is a collection of techniques, patterns, and strategies for assisting effective communication, personal growth and change, and learning (Revell and Norman). By using NLP in teaching English makes the students be active learner. Most teachers still use traditional method to teach English, namely by using the lecture method. Most of them just still use the method of GTM to teach English. The tendency of teachers who use such methods usually use TCL (Teacher Centered Learning) not SCL (Student Centered Learning). As a good teacher must create the class more interesting, enjoying and fun. He should use various techniques / approaches to make his class interesting and the students active in the English class. Through NLP, in order that the students will not be passive learners and they can enhance their language skill such as writing.

Abstract

Studies on project-based learning advocate the importance of cultivating high order thinking skills yet, little attention was paid to its implementation in the hybrid learning environment. This study aims to investigate the impact of blended project-based learning on critical thinking skills for students with different motivation level in the Academic writing course at IAIN Ponorogo. Using a Single Group of quasy-experimental design, this study investigated the impact of hyflex project-based learning in improving high order thinking skills within 30 students enrolled in an Academic Writing course. The study revealed considerable evidence that hyflex project-based learning is effective for improving students’ HOTs. Educators are recommended to embrace this hyflex and project-based learning into their curricula to harness the benefits of this innovative learning model.
