Abstract

Fires in 2015 and 2018 in the village of Lukun burned a total of about 310 hectares have serious consequences for nature and the local social environment. In addition to making some people lose their livelihoods, fires have also caused fauna migration and plant death. Furthermore, Peatland in Lukun Village has become critical and has even drought. By using the snowball technique, the author found 7 informants they are 3 sago farmers, 2 rubber farmers, 1 areca nut farmer, 1 vegetable farmer and banana. The type of research used was qualitative descriptive with 2 months of research duration. The findings of the study in terms of land preparation methods used are clear-cutting and cutting down the hallway. After a few days later, they start to burn the remaining wood or leaves. The Land cultivation and the seeds procurement are carried out with a system of "replacements" between the fellow farmers. How to care for the plant is still in the traditional way which uses human hair as a pest barrier pig, does fumigation to eliminate the pest beetles, and cutting the bush to avoid wild animals. The activities of farmers still use simple technology and equipment such as machetes, hoes, axes, carts and others. Ways of farming are still in the form of traditional. It is done to preserve peat as well as cultural heritages of the past and disseminated through two forms of the fieldwork and discussions. In addition to taking local wisdom of farming, farmer awareness on the preservation of peat indicated by the start of an environmentally friendly plant such as fruits or timber and joined a group of MPA in the region of Lukun.Keywords: Local Wisdom, Farmers, Peat Sustainability

Abstract

Komisi Pemilihan Umum Kabupaten Kampar pada 2017 merilis data jumlah pemilih perempuan sebanyak 236.146 dan pemilih pemula sebanyak 8.476 perempuan yang tersebar di 1.323 TPS. Jumlah ini menempatkan perempuan sebagai pemilik suara potensial untuk memenangkan pasangan tertentu sekaligus mendorong praktik politik uang merebut suara perempuan. Penelitian bertujuan mencermati strategi perempuan mencegah praktik politik uang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan memilih 7 informan menggunakan purposive sampling, data yang ditemukan dianalisis berdasarkan karakteristik kualitatif. Hasilnya menemukan bahwa praktik politik uang terdiri dari dua bentuk, yaitu distribusi makanan dan sejumlah uang. Untuk mencegah aksi ini perempuan memaksimalkan perannya dengan bergabung dengan panitia pengawas pemilu dan melakukan strategi pencegahan berupa pengawasan aktif kampanye pemilu yang dihadiri banyak perempuan, seperti majelis taklim, kegiatan PKK, Posyandu dan lainnya yang dihadiri oleh perempuan. Perempuan aktif memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat, khususnya perempuan tentang aspek hukum politik uang, membangun komunikasi dengan lintas sektor, deklarasi dan sosialisasi aspek hukum politik uang menolak melalui poster yang dibagikan oleh masyarakat, membentuk relawan untuk mencegah politik uang dan memantau melalui smartphone. Kampar District Election Commission in 2017 released data on the number of female voters as many as 236,146 and novice voters of 8,476 women spread across 1,323 polling stations. This number puts women as potential voting owners to win over a particular candidates spouse while encouraging the political practice of money to win votes. The purpose of the study was to find out womens strategies in preventing the political practice of money. We used a qualitative approach and selected 7 informants using purposive sampling. We conduct descriptive analysis based on qualitative characteristics, namely data collection reduction and data categorization, data display and conclusion drawdown. The results found that the political practice of money consists of two forms, namely the distribution of food and some money. To prevent this action women maximize their role by joining the election supervisory committee and carrying out prevention strategies in the form of actively supervising election campaigns that are attended by many women, such as taklim assemblies, PKK activities, Posyandu and others that are attended by women, actively providing understanding to the community, especially women about the legal aspects of money politics, establishing good communication to community leaders , indigenous leaders, religious leaders and intellectuals, declarations and socialization of legal aspects of money politics reject through a piece shared by the community, Forming volunteers to prevent the politics of money and monitor all election activities through smarthphone.
