Abstract

The STEM-based electronic module is a systematic presentation of learning materials to support students' independence with an approach in four fields of knowledge: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This study aims to describe the feasibility of this STEM-based electronic module to train students' creativity. The specific objectives of this study are to describe: (1) The validity of the STEM-based electronic physics module; and (2) The practicality of the STEM-based physics electronic module. The type of research was ADDIE, with the subject of the trial of 27 students at class X Science-1 in a public high school in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Data collection was obtained from observations, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. This research was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research results showed that: (1) the validity of the STEM-based electronic physics module was in a "very good" category, and (2) The practicality based on the implementation of the Lesson plan was categorized as "moderately practical". The existing STEM-based electronic physics modules (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to train students' creativity are still not suitable for learning. So, it can be concluded that the STEM-based physics electronic module is feasible to train students' creativity, and the direct result of this research was that educators could evaluate methods and media that support online learning more effectively for each meeting, and the results of this study can be used as input for teachers and teacher candidates. The next step of this research is to apply methods, learning models that support STEM and sufficient time to train students' creativity which is expected to be applied to face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan No. 3 Tahun 2017 pasal 4 tentang penyelenggaraan pendidikan menyatakan bahwa maksud penyelenggaran pendidikan yaitu menyiapkan sumber daya manusia yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, sehat, berilmu, cerdas, cakap, kreatif, mandiri dan unggul. Untuk menyelaraskan dengan hal tersebut, maka tim mengadakan “Workshop Penyusunan Bahan Ajar Elektronik Topik Dinamika Partikel Bermuatan Ayat-Ayat Al-Quran”. Hal ini agar guru terlatih dalam menyusun bahan ajar elektronik yang bermuatan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Mitra adalah Guru MGMP Fisika Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret- Juni 2021. Metode kegiatan dibagi menjadi tiga tahap yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pengabdian ini  berjalan dengan lancar. Guru pada akhirnya mampu menyusun bahan ajar elektronik dinamika partikel bermuatan ayat-ayat Al-Quran secara mandiri. Guru akan mengimplementasikan bahan ajar yang telah disusun sehingga permasalahan pada mitra dapat diminimalisir.  South Kalimantan Provincial Regulation No. 3 of 2017 Article 4 concerning the implementation of education states that providing education prepares human resources who are faithful and devoted to God Almighty, healthy, knowledgeable, intelligent, capable, creative, independent and superior. The team held a "Workshop on the Preparation of Electronic Teaching Materials on the Topic of Particle Dynamics Containing Al-Quran Verses" to harmonize with this. This is so that teachers are trained in compiling electronic teaching materials containing verses of the Qur'an. Partners are MGMP Physics Teachers in Tanah Bumbu Regency. The training will be held from March-June 2021. The activity method is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This service is running smoothly. The teacher can finally independently compose electronic teaching materials for particle dynamics charged with Al-Quran verses. The teacher will implement the teaching materials prepared so that problems with partners can be minimized.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan guru-guru IPA di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah tentang PTK. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertempat di SMPN 10 Barabai yang dihadiri oleh 36 orang guru IPA di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA. Kegiatan dilaksanakan menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi dan pendampingan pada saat penyusunan proposal. Kesimpulan dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan proposal PTK bagi guru IPA di kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah telah dilaksanakan dengan lancar dan mendapat respon yang positif dari para peserta. Pelatihan ini telah memberikan informasi bagi guru tentang penyusunan proposal PTK. Dengan demikian, para guru mampu memahami dan menyusun proposal penelitian tindakan kelas. Setelah pelatihan ini, guru diharapkan mampu membuat proposal penelitian tindakan kelas serta  melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang ada dikelasnya.  This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and ability of natural science teachers in the Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency about Classroom Action Research (CAR). This training activity took place at SMPN 10 Barabai, which was attended by 36 science teachers in the Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency who were members of the Science Teachers' Conference (MGMP). Activities were carried out using lecture, question and answer, discussion, and assistance methods when preparing proposals. The conclusion from the results of this community service activity was the training and mentoring for the preparation of CAR proposals for science teachers in the Hulu Sungai Tengah district, which had been carried out smoothly and received positive responses from the participants. This training has provided information for teachers about the preparation of CAR proposals. Thus, the teachers are able to understand and prepare class action research proposals. After this training, teachers are expected to be able to make class action research proposals and carry out classroom action research to overcome various problems in their class.
