Abstract

The Open University is a higher education institute which applies a long distance learning system requiring the university students to learn independently. But, due to various factors, among others, their habit of depending on the information directly presented by the teacher, the majority of the university students have not yet been able to learn independently. One of the methods that can be used to cope with this problem is the tutorial learning pattern. Tutorial is one of the forms of service and learning guidance given to the university students in order to help them to achieve an optimal learning result through face-to-face tutorial, written tutorial, internet tutorial, radio tutorial, and computer-aided tutorial.  The tutorial process is guided by a tutor playing the roles of facilitator and motivator. The performance of a tutor affects the tutorial results very much. Based on the research result, it was known that the performance of the tutors of UPBJJ-UT Banjarmasin in 4 learning groups (pokjar) – namely those in the regencies of Tapin, Hulu Sungai Selatan, Hulu Sungai Utara, and Tabalong – toward the mastery of the materials had obtained the average score of 3.14 in the Good category.

Abstract

System Remote applied the Open University (UT) in learning, requires students to study independently at their own initiative in studying the teaching materials provided by UT, tasks, strengthen skills, and apply the experience in the field or the work they can do individually or groups. The Open University in addition to providing assistance through tutorials Online learning, also facilitate learning through tutorial assistance Face to Face. Tutorial serves as a driver at the same time trigger the process of student learning so that students have the will and the ability to observe, think, behave and act in the face of a concept of science and technology as the result of a learning process. Tutorial process guided by a tutor who acts as a facilitator and motivator in the tutorial. Tutor greatly affect the performance has yet tutorial. For it to investigate the performance of tutors UPBJJ-UT Banjarmasin through student assessment D2 Library. Assessment is done through kuiseioner which are distributed in 4 pokjar namely Tapin District, Upper South River, Upper North River and Tabalong. Based on the survey results revealed that the performance tutor UPBJJ-UT Banjarmasin on mastery learning management an average score of 3.10 Good category. Keywords : tutor performance, face to face tutorial, UPBJJ-UT Banjarmasin

Abstract

Food security is influenced by social factors and economic , which the social factor is the size of the family , the education level of the head of the family , while the economic factors include income and h_ousehold expenditure . This study aims to essess the social and economic factors that affect household food security and social and economic factors determine the most dominant in the village but Jaro District of Tabalong . The method used is quantitative method is by using multiple linear regression and continued by F test to determine whether all the factors or variables influence jointly on household food security . Results showed that the food security of households affected by income , whilo the factor of the number of families , educational level of the family cJml eac;I, expenditure does not affect the partial. The implication is that any efforts to improve household food security must be sought to improve earnings.
