<![CDATA[AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem solving dan metode problem posing pada materi cahaya di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan metode kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes tertulis yang terdiri dari tes awal (pre-tes) dan tes akhir (post-tes). Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 terdiri dari 5 kelas. Dari jumlah populasi tersebut ditetapkan sampel sebesar 48 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas VIII- 2 dan VIII-3. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling melalui observasi dengan guru fisika di SMP Negeri 1 Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Pengolahan data pada tes awal (pre-tes) maupun pada tes akhir (post-tes) menggunakan uji statistik yaitu uji t. Kelas VIII- 2 ditetapkan sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode problem solving dan kelas VIII- 3 ditetapkan sebagai kelas eksperimen II yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode problem posing. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran problem solving dan metode problem posing pada materi cahaya di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Kata kunci : hasil belajar, problem solving, problem posing AbstractThis research aims to know the difference learning outcomes students by using the learning problem solving method and problem posing method of the light matter at class VIII SMPN 1 Darussalam, Aceh Besar regency. The design of this study was a experiment by using quantitative method. To obtain the data, the writer used written test, those are pre-test and post-test. The populations of this research are all of students of VIII di junior high schools 1 Darussalam, Aceh Besar regency 2015/2016. From a population, the sample was determined as much as 48 students consisting of the class VIII- 2 and VIII-3. Determine of sample done by using purposive sampling through observation of teachers in physics junior high schools 1 Darussalam, Aceh Besar regency. To analyzy the data pre-test and pos-test the reseacher used statistics test that is test t. Class VIII- 2 choose as class experiment 1, giving treatments by using the learning problem solving method and class VIII- 3 set down as class experiment 2 giving treatments by using problem posing method. The result of the data analysis show that there are differences study outcomes of students used a method problem solving method and problem posing method of the light matter in physics subject at class VIII junior high schools 1 Darussalam, Aceh Besar regency.
