Keywords: Learning Media, Busy Book, IndependenceThis study aimed to develop a busy book based on life skills as a learning medium for early childhood in instilling children’s independence. This research method used quantitative descriptive research with development research methods. The research and development method by Thiagarajan goes through 4 stages, namely the definition stage (define), the design stage (designs), the development stage (develop), and the deployment stage (disseminate). This research is only up to the development stage and does not carry out deployment and field testing. Data collection was carried out through observation, literature study, and using validation sheets to obtain assessments from media experts and material experts. The results of the validation of busy book media based on life skills in instilling the independence of children aged 4-6 years by media experts obtained a final score of 97% which was included in the very veasible category, while the results of the validation that assessed the content of the suitability of the busy book media based on life skills by material experts obtained a final score of 92% which is included in the very appropriate category to be used as a medium for early childhood learning. The conclusion of this study is that the budy book media based on life skills in instilling independence in early childhood is very feasible to be used as learning medium. This research was only carried out until the media validation stage, for the product distribution stage it would be carried out at the next level of education.ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan busy book berbasis life skill sebagai media pembelajaran anak usia dini dalam menanamkan kemandirian anak. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian pengembangan RD (Research and Development). Metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) oleh Thiagarajan melalui 4 tahapan, yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap pengembangan dan tidak melakukan penyebaran dan pengujian lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, studi literatur dan menggunakan lembaran validasi untuk memperoleh penilaian dari ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil validasi media busy book berbasis life skill dalam menanamkan kemandirian anak usia 4-6 tahun oleh ahli media memperoleh skor akhir sebesar 97% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, sedangkan hasil validasi yang menilai kesesuaian isi media busy book berbasis life skill oleh ahli materi memperoleh skor akhir sebesar 92% yang termasuk sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran anak usia dini. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah media busy book berbasisi life skill dalam menanamkan kemandirian pada anak usia dini sangat layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai tahap validasi media, untuk tahap penyebaran produk akan dilakukan pada jenjang pendidikan berikutnya.Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Busy Book, Kemandirian
