<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Kemampuan Siswa Kelas X-IA1 MAN 3 Banda Aceh Mengonversi Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi ke dalam Teks Tanggapan Kritis”. Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas X-IA1 MAN 3 Banda Aceh mengonversi teks laporan hasil observasi ke dalam teks tanggapan kritis? Populasi penelitian ini siswa kelas X-IA1 MAN 3 berjumlah 26 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel sama dengan jumlah populasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan mengguanakan teknik nontes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa kelas X-IA1 MAN 3 Banda Aceh mengonversi teks laporan hasil observasi ke dalam teks tanggapan kritis adalah 74.
