<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Penelitian yang berjudul “Kemampuan Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur Mengabstraksi Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi” ini mengangkat masalah bagaimanakah kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur mengabstraksi teks laporan hasil observasi. Populasi ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur tahun ajaran 2016/2017 berjumlah 93 siswa dengan sampel 32 siswa. Sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik nontes dan pengolahan data digunakan teknik kuantitatif dalam bentuk penghitungan nilai rata-rata (mean) dan penghitungan batas lulus. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur mengabstraksi teks laporan hasil observasi adalah 61,78. Berdasarkan acuan penilaian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Suka Makmur mengabstraksi teks laporan hasil observasi berada pada kategori cukup yaitu berada pada rentang 56-65. Dilihat dari kelulusannya dengan batas lulus pada M + 0,25 SD, jumlah yang tergolong dalam kategori lulus sebanyak 18 siswa.Kata kunci: Kemampuan siswa, mengabstraksi, teks laporan hasil observasi ABSTRACT The title for this research is “ The ability of students in first grade at SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur to abstract report text the result of Observation”. This is to know about how the ability of students in first grade at SMA Negeri 1 Sukamamur to abstract report text the result of Observation. The population is student in first grade SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur in 2016/2017 with 93 students. The sample is 32 students. The sample used random or sampling is 32 students. The research method is descriptive quantitatif. Data collection used pontes technic and data accounting all average value and accounting limits passed. The result of analysis data show if the avarage value of the ability students in first grade SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur to abstract report text the result of observation is 61,78. Depend on assesment shows if the ability students in first grade SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur to abstract report text the result of observation is in enough category and in 56-65.
