Abstract

As the development of networking technology, also emerging security isues such as Denial Of Service Attack (DoS). DoS is an attack used by hackers to shut down the computer system server so that the server can not provide service to the user. The first step to anticipate the variety of unwanted packets is to implement application intrussion Detection System (IDS) into a router.                 IDS application can be made by using the fuzzy method in which there are 3 stages of attack classification process that is establish  variable membership functions, establish fuzzy rules and defuzzyfication. The first stage starts from storing data length and frequency into a fuzzy database table, furthermore search for alpha value of each rule and the last stage is to find the defuzzyfication value. From this value can be used to classify attacking level such as normal, low,medium and high.                 Result from this project IDS application can identify DoS attack which use some technic such as ICMP flooding, TCP flooding, UDP flooding and normal ICMP but still can not identify and classify syn-ack attack because syn-ack length packet have small value. IDS application also can not identify HTTP packet as  a normal packet because http length packet value as same as TCP flooding length packet value. IDS log displayed as Web based so that can simplify user for analyzing attack paket.

Abstract

Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a communications technology that allows  connections to and from public network as if working on a private network. By using this technology, users are possible to access files, or even a database server inside the private network. The users are able to access the network using the same settings as they were physically located in a private network.This experiment are intended to get the value of the parameters and analyzing performance of the VPN network. To get these values real computer networks that consists of two VPN gateways equipped with tools and testing applications such as PING, FTP, tcpdump, video streaming (IP CCTV) applications and VoIP (SJPhone) were built.Network performance examination have obtained values of latency, packet loss, bandwidth delay  product and bandwidth utilization. It is shown that smaller latency will produce the most efficient bandwidth delay product. At the same time, small value of latency will produce large bandwidth utilization for TCP applications. On the other hand, small value of packet loss will result in large bandwidth utilization for UDP applications.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Kondisi udara yang buruk mempunyai dampak yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan. Udara yang telah tercemar oleh partikel dapat menimbulkan berbagai penyakit. Selain berdampak pada kesehatan, kondisi udara yang buruk juga mengakibatkan dampak yang negatif terhadap lingkungan alam. Karbon monoksida adalah polutan yang paling banyak dihasilkan pada kota-kota besar, hal ini disebabkan karena banyaknya gas buang yang dihasilkan oleh kendaraan bermotor dan proses industri. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pemantauan secara periodik agar karbon monoksida dapat dikendalikan dan tidak mengganggu kesehatan maupun merusak lingkungan. Pemilihan pemasangan sensor  menggunakan Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) diharapkan mampu mengurangi tingkat pencemaran udara khususnya karbon monoksida.Untuk itu penelitian mengarah pada perancangan dan pembangunan aplikasi monitoring sebagai informasi gas karbon monoksida pada WSN. Penerapan WSN digunakan untuk mengirimkan data pembacaan setiap sensor menuju personal computer sehingga aplikasi monitoring pada personal computer dapat memantau kondisi pencemaran udara khususnya karbon monoksida. Informasi tentang penggunaan catu daya juga akan dikirim bersamaan agar  kondisi catu daya pada node dapat terpantau.Mikrokontroler telah dapat membaca output dari modul sensor gas karbon monoksida. Rangkaian pemantau catu daya dapat memberikan informasi kondisi catu daya dengan baik. Jarak maksimal yang dapat dijangkau untuk pengiriman data pada masing-masing node adalah 50m. Sedangkan jarak maksimal yang dapat dijangkau oleh keseluruhan sistem adalah 100m. Program pada personal computer telah berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya untuk menampilkan dan menyimpan data hasil pembacaan sensor serta kondisi catu daya yang dihasilkan oleh masing-masing node.

Abstract

Air pollution is the damage of  air quality which contaminated by pollutants can be changing the composition of air who can be dangerous to humans, animals, and plants. The rapid development of construction, especially industry and technology, and increasing number of vehicles causes air to around us be contaminated by wasting gases combustion  proceeds. Carbon monixide is the most pollutant which is producted in big cities, it is caused by much of out cast gas which is producted by vehicles and proses of industry. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) can be used to monitor air pollution so can be used an early warning of air pollution at a certain point. With the knowing information is expected to reduce the level of air pollution, especially carbon monoxide gas.From the number of main problems in a implementation of the WSN communication process was one of the problems often experienced. WSN communication  often only rely the protokol communication of WSN devices which are used. If there is one node which experiencing system failures that are below a node can’t be perform the communication process, so the sensor data from the node can’t be transmit to the center. To solve the problem is proposed a design research on a data communication protocol in WSN, which purpose when there is system failure on one node, there is a backup data lines of communication so that nodes which are below can be transmit sensor data to the central node. In this research design of data communication protocol attempted to tree topology so that higher level of nodes can be set the other nodes of lower level.Communication prosses has been run according with the given data communication protocol. There is a backup lines of comunication if the one nodes failure system experience. Nodes be able to send data result sensor reading of carbon monoxide and also battery condition toward node coordinator with coverage distance in each maximum node is 50m, if used tree topology coverage distance to the all system is 100m. The circuit monitoring of battery condition be able provide information about battery condition with error average 0.03.

Abstract

Mobile robot is a robot that has a drive mechanism such as wheel or foot (leg) to be able to move from one place to another place, on a mobile robot generally has a conventional design where the design has limitations that need to angle the motion area to turn around. Developments in the mobile robot control method develops very rapidly, especially in the control methods used to control the velocity of the mobile robot and the position desired by the mobile robot, one that is often used method is PID (Proportional-Integrative-Derivative) and Fuzzy.Mobile robot which uses omni-directional wheels triangle has advantage in terms of mobility within the solid to be able move all direction without having to spin in position (rafiudin, 2012), this saving travel time within a movement and is able to move in place that possesses the less. For support of the movement of a mobile robot using triangle omni-directional wheels we need a method of controlling the speed of rotation a DC motor to support the motion of a mobile robot. The method uses is PID where PID have advantages values of parameters obtained mathematically than fuzzy method where that uses try and error, the PID method we can calculate the values of the parameters used in accordance with the first method is the Ziegler Nichols oscillation.From the results of this test showed that the average error respond owned by the mobile robot is equal to 3.5885% of the X axis, the Y axis 3.8645% and 3.6205% for the orientation angle made. Where the value of the angular orientation errors obtained from mathematical calculations, the data obtained from 40 trials for each input position different purposes. In accordance with the first method of Ziegler Nichols oscillation is then obtained values for the parameters corresponding to the control of mobile robots is the value of Kp = 2.8, Ki = 5.6 and Kd = 0.84.
