<![CDATA[Abstrak: Tulisan ini mengkaji aksara lokal Ka Ga Nga dan upaya pelestariannya pada Suku Rejang Di Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Adapun permasalahan yang akan diangkat yaitu bagaimana perkembangan aksara Ka Ga Nga dan bagaimana upaya pelestariannya. Adapun tujuan kajian untuk mendeskripsikan perkembangan aksara Ka Ga Nga dan upaya pelestariannya. Dalam melakukan kajian digunakan metode penelitian sejarah atau historis dengan pendekatan antropologis dan sosiologis, tempat penelitian dilakukan di Rejang Lebong provinsi Bengkulu. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa aksara Ka Ga Nga diperkirakan berkembang pesat di Sumatera bagian Selatan pada abad ke- 16 hingga abad ke- 17 Masehi sebagai dari perkembangan dari aksara pallawa dan kawi. Aksara Ka Ga Nga sendiri banyak berkembang di wilayah Sumatera dan Sulawesi. Hal ini menandakan bahwa aksara Ka Ga Nga berkerabat dengan aksara di tanah Bugis. Namun dengan seiringnya waktu serta adanya penyatuan bahasa kesatuan tanah air aksara Ka Ga Nga sendiri mengalami penurunan penyebaran di kalangan masyarakat Rejang Lebong sehingga pemerintah serta badan adat setempat terus berupaya tetap melestarikan aksara Ka Ga Nga. Badan Musyawarah Adat melakukan upaya-upaya mengembalikan warisan budaya Suku Rejang Lebong khususnya aksara Ka Ga Nga agar tidak hilang di masa depan dengan melakukan berbagai upaya-upaya prepentif.Kata Kunci : Pelestarian, Ka Ga Nga, Aksara, Lokal, Rejang, Lebong.Effort To Preserve Ka Ga Nga Local Script, Rejang Tribe In Rejang Lebong RegencyAbstract: This paper examines the local Ka Ga Nga and its conservation efforts in Rejang Tribe In Rejang Lebong Regency. The problems that will be raised are how to develop the Ka Ga Nga script and how to preserve it. The purpose of the study is to describe the development of the Ka Ga Nga script and its preservation efforts. In conducting the study, historical or historical research methods with anthropological and sociological approaches were used, where the research was conducted in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu province. The results obtained are that the Ka Ga Nga is expected to develop rapidly in southern Sumatra in the 16th century to the 17th century AD as a result of the development of the pallawa and kawi.script Ka Ga Nga itself is widely developed in Sumatra and Sulawesi. This indicates that the Ka Ga Nga script is related to the script in Bugis land. However, with the passage of time and the unification of the language of the homeland, the Ka Ga Nga itself has decreased its distribution among the Rejang Lebong people so that the government and local traditional bodies continue to strive to preserve the Ka Ga Nga. The Indigenous Deliberative Council made efforts to restore the cultural heritage of the Rejang Lebong Tribe, especially the Ka Ga Nga so that it would not be lost in the future by making various preventive efforts.
