Abstract

This study aims to determine how the number of attractions, the number of tourists and hotel occupancy rates to Revenue (PAD) Bukittinggi. The methods used in data collection in this study is a literature study, obtained from related institutions, reverensi books, as well as economic journals. The data used in this research is quantitative data. In discussing this issue with the author using an analysis tool used is multiple linear analysis with SPSS version 21.0. The hypothesis can be made from this study are: Variable number of attractions, excursions, and hotel occupancy rates expected to have a positive relationship and a significant effect on local revenue (PAD) Bukittinggi.From the testing that has been done, simultaneous test (F test) showed that the number of variables and the number of tourist attractions and no significant positive effect on revenue (PAD) variable occupancy rates and significant positive effect on the variable revenue. Test partial regression (t test) showed that a variable number of attractions, the number of tourists and hotel occupancy rates positive and significant effect on the variable local revenues, is consistent with the hypothesis that has been proposed. The effect (R2) by these two independent variables together against the dependent variable was 97,1% while the remaining 2,9% is influenced by other variables outside variables that exist in this study.Keywords: number of attractions, the number of tourists, hotel occupancy rates and revenue.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru with the object of research areas 12 districts in the city of Pekanbaru in the period 2008 to 2015. This study aims to determine the small industries be featured in a small industrial city of Pekanbaru and where small industries in Pekanbaru City spatially concentrated. This study uses secondary data, employment data is a small industrial branches every district in the city of Pekanbaru. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis of quantitative analysis tool location quotient (LQ) and spatial concentration. The results of the research with the analysis of location quotient on employment show that in 2008 and 2015 small industries into a small industry featured in Pekanbaru City ie industrial branches of small craft in which branches of industry such craft is superior in District Tampan, District Bukit Raya, District Marpoyan Damai, Distric Tenayan Rayat, District Lima Puluh, District Sail, District Pekanbaru Kota, District Sukajadi, District Rumbai, and District Rumbai Pesisir. Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the number of tourist arrivals and hotel occupancy on the acceptance of the PDRB sectors of the tourism industry in the province of North Sumatra in 2004-2013. The data used is a time series data of the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Department of tourism. This study used quantitative research methods and using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 17 for windows. In this study, the independent variables are foreign tourists (X1) and hotel (X2) while the dependent variable is the PDRB (Y).Results of the research by using multiple regression analysis known and simultaneous regression test (Test F) note that Fhitung 392,891 dan Ftable 4.74 which is the confidence level of 5%. It is thus known that Fhitung> Ftabel (392.891> 4.74) showed that foreign tourists and hotels a significant effect on the PDRB in the province of North Sumatra. Partial regression test (t test) showed that the variables of foreign tourists and the hotel had a significant effect on the PDRB of North Sumatra Province. The magnitude of the effect that the (R 2) of 0.991.So, that’s to be mean of PDRB as the dependent variable is able to be explained by the independent variables namely foreign tourists and hotels amounted to 99.1% and the remaining 0.9% is explained by variables - other variables outside the research.Keyword: foreign tourists, Hotel, PDRB

Abstract

Unemployment is the macroeconomic problems that affect humans directly and is a complex problem that requires analysis to obtain a solution to unemployment or at least reduce unemployment. This study aimed to examine the effect of migration on unemployment entry and investment in the city of Pekanbaru. This research uses secondary data. analysis of the data in this study using multiple linear regression method. hypothesis testing using partial test (t test), simultaneous (f test), test correlation coefficient (R) and test the coefficient of determination (). the data used in this study are data on the number of unemployed, the number of migrations and the amount of investment in the city of Pekanbaru 2002-2011.The results of the testing that has been done, the entire regression test showed that all independent variables have no significant effect on the dependent variable. individual regression test showed that the number of in-migration does not significantly influence the number of unemployed in the city of Pekanbaru, and investment also no significant effect on the number of unemployed in the city of Pekanbaru. The magnitude of the effect caused by the two independent variables together on the dependent variable of 38.7%, while the remaining 61.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.Keywords: unemployment, in-migration, investment.

Abstract

The aim of this study include: provide an overview of inventory and laborrequirements as well as provide an overview of the economic opportunitiesavailable as the foundation to move development of strategic sectors.Research carried out in the region Indragiri Hilir. Analysis of the presentcondition and future employment through employment elasticity analysis methods. For the data used in the context of this study is data from BPS.Results of research conducted showed that the economy Indragiri Hilir in2012 grew by 7.47% and employment growth of 4.14%, with elasticity of 0.54. So that the number of job opportunities in the year 2012 as many as 304 792 people. While economic forecasts Indragiri Hilir in 2015 grew by 7.72% and employment growth of 4.87%, with employment elasticity of 0.5363. Estimated GDP at constant 2000 prices Indragiri Downstream of Rp. 10012.91 billion and employment opportunities created as many as 342 002 people.Keywords: Labor, employment opportunities

Abstract

The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru in 2013. This study aims to determine how the image of women in the labor-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru is viewed from the aspect of education, past work, income, region of origin, and the factors driving women working in five-star hotel in the city Pekanbaru. This study uses primary data collected directly from the respondents on the female labor-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru. The population in this study were all women in labor-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru is classified at 3.4 and 5 star hotel that is numbered 511 people. While the sample used in this study amounted to 100 people. Secondary data were obtained from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Pekanbaru, Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Pekanbaru. Engineering data was collected directly by visiting the employment of women in the five-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru. This study analyzed using descriptive analysis method. Based on the survey results revealed that female employees who worked at the five-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru seen from the aspect of education, which is dominated workforce education level diploma. Then views of the work, where workers who work at five-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru has over 5 years experience. Viewed from the aspect of labor income, where the amount of earned income workers who worked at the hotel in Pekanbaru City Star above the minimum wage and depend on the position occupied. From the aspect of the origin, generally derived from the city of Pekanbaru. Then the drivers of women working in five-star hotel in the city of Pekanbaru is the salary offered as expected.Keywords: Woman, Labor, Hotel

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the difference between the wage rates of agricultural laborers with non-agricultural workers and to determine the effect of wages on the welfare of farm and non-farm labor. This research was conducted with descriptive and quantitative method that uses primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews / interview and questionnaire study. Respondents were taken was 50 of 28 farm workers and 22 non-agricultural workers.From the results of this study concluded there are significant differences between the level of wages of agricultural laborers with non-agricultural wage rate. where the average income - average which can be obtained by nonagricultural workers are not the same as agricultural laborers. With the high level of wages will be able to improve the welfare of workers that will increase labor productivity. Based on the results of this research is that many agricultural workers are still less prosperous. With the welfare of the workers are fulfilled, then the labor productivity will also increase. Therefore, the company should increase the level of wages that will improve the welfare of workers as well. Therefore, the authors suggest Need for guidance and provision of appropriate skills for workers in agriculture, so that workers will get better wages for the workers already have the skills.Keywords: Wages, Agriculture, Comparative Analysis

Abstract

This research aim to know the level of the efficiency of use of production factors at both of group industry. As a result of that, it will be know what production factor that needs for increasing or the reducing of input in order to reach the efficiency.The population of this research is the small and medium furniture industries in Pekanbaru City which the amount of sample in 52 industry unit. The dependent variable that used is financial capital, labour and material, meanwhile the dependent variable is production value. Method of the collecting data is do by questionare. Analysis methid that used in the research is production function of Cobb-Douglas with Frontiers Stochastic Applications and Return to Scale.The result of the furniture from wood show that the technical efficiency is about 0,5008. The allocative efficiency is 1,2742. And the Economic efficiency is 0,638. While for return to scale about 1,0783. It means the furniture from wood is in the increasing return to scale.For the furniture from metal, the level of technical efficiency is about 0,7519, the allocative efficiency is 1,7234, and the economic efficiency is 1,2931. While the return to scale value is about 0,6939. It means furniture from metal is in decreasing return to scale.By the level of technical efficiency that approaching 1(one). It can concluded that furniture from metal industries is more efficient in the using of its factor production than the metal furniture.Keywords : Efficiency, Productions, Cobb-Douglas, and Frontier Stochastic
