Abstract

 ABSTRAC One of the centers of the spread of Islam in West Java is Cirebon which holds a lot of historical evidence. Historical evidence, not only physical forms such as the palace, old pesantren, and mosques but also non-physical as a unique tradition which is a fusion of Java with Islam. The philosophical values contained therein are the building of strong traditions such as the custom of the marriage of the Cirebon Palace which is a reflection of the socio-cultural relationship with Islamic values. Historically, Islam was the incarnation of acculturation and assimilation between Islam which spread in CirebonThis study aims to: Describe, explain and analyze the form of a marriage procession at the Cirebon Palace, the dialogue that takes place in religious and cultural relations in the Cirebon palace marriage and the meanings contained in the philosophical social and cultural relations. The conclusion of this study is the existence of religious and cultural dialogue relations in this marriage is also a manifestation of a blend of Islamic law and customary law (customs) that apply in the Cirebon Palace    Keywords: Religion and Culture; Marriage; Cirebon Palace. ABSTRAK Salah satu pusat penyebaran Islam di Jawa Barat yaitu Cirebon yang menyimpan banyak bukti sejarah. Bukti sejarah itu, tidak hanya bentuk fisik seperti keraton, pesantren tua, dan masjid, tetapi juga non fisik seperti tradisi unik yang merupakan perpaduan Jawa dengan Islam. Nila-nilai filosofi yang terdapat di dalamnya terdapat bangunan adat istiadat yang kokoh seperti adat pernikahan keraton Cirebon yang merupakan sebuah cerminan dari relasi sosial budaya dengan nilai-nila Islam. Secara historis, Islam merupakan penjelmaan akulturasi dan asimilasi antara Islam yang tersebar di tanah Cirebon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang mempunyai tujuan untuk menjelaskan fenomena yang ada di lapangan penelitian, seperti perilaku, persepsi, tindakan dan lain-lain secara holistic. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Adanya dialog relasi agama dan budaya dalam pernikahan ini merupakan bentuk wujud perpaduan antara hukum Islam dan hukum adat (adat istiadat) yang berlaku di keraton Cirebon Tradisi yang dipraktekan di keraton Cirebon ini merupakan wujud budaya warisan leluhur yang telah di Islamkan oleh para leluhur atau perpaduan ajaran Islam dan adat. Kata Kunci: Agama dan Budaya; Pernikahan; Keraton Cirebon.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam, baru-baru ini, banyak menyedot perhatian karena kontroversi yang tengah ramai melingkarinya, yaitu: apakah fenomena kekerasan, ekstremisme, dan ujaran kebencian yang menimpa sebagian kelompok orang-orang Muslim merupakan produk dari pendidikan Islam atau apakah mereka terasing dari semangat etika pendidikan Islam yang sebenarnya? Dalam konteks ini, buku yang bertajuk Ethical Dimensions of Muslim Education yang ditulis oleh Nuraan Davids dan Yusef Waghid sedikit banyak memiliki peran penting untuk menghilangkan kebimbangan dan kebingungan dalam mengurai ‘benang kusut’ seputar isu-isu yang berkaitan dan berhubungan dengan pendidikan Islam, karena analisis yang dibentangkan dalam buku ini sarat dengan konsep-konsep yang sengaja dipungut dari teks-teks Islam dalam kaitannya dengan pendidikan dan etika, yang sekurang-kurangnya menunjukkan wawasan dan pengetahuan kedua penulisnya.

Abstract

"RELATIONS OF POWER IN CHILD MARRIAGE (Case Study in Greged District, Cirebon Regency)", 2022.Child marriage is still one of the phenomena that worries the world and often makes teenagers make it their main goal in life. Not least the cause of child marriage is the existence of power relations. Based on absolute numbers, the highest number of child marriages was found on the island of Java, which then made the authors study Cirebon Regency. This is reinforced by reports recorded at the Sumber Religious Court, that as many as 1,640 marriage dispensation applications were registered from 2018 to June 2022, and Greged District is one of the Districts with the highest marriage rate in Cirebon Regency. This paper discusses the contextual conditions of the prevalence of child marriage in Greged District, what factors have caused the rise of child marriage, and what are the impacts on women there. The theory that the writer uses as a knife for this analysis is Michel Foucault's Power Relations theory. The essence of Foucault's thought is power and knowledge. The method used is a qualitative research method with a legal sociology approach. The results of this study are first, the highest child marriage rate is occupied by Lebak Mekar Village and the lowest is occupied by Greged Village. This sub-district is dominated by farm laborers as well as traders, 100% Muslim and safe political conditions. Second, low educational strata, limited finances, existence of power relations, traditional assumptions, juvenile delinquency problems, and religious understanding are the factors causing the rise of child marriage. Third, the impact on women is health risk, cut off from education, increasing poverty for women, and the potential to experience domestic violence.Keywords: Child Marriage, Power Relations, Greged
