Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of firm characteristics and corporate governance on tax avoidance. Tax avoidance is a dependent variable in this study that measured by cash effective tax rate. Independent variable in this study are firm characteristics that proxy by leverage, firm size, and fix asset intensity. While corporate governance is proxy by institutional ownership and independent commissioner.The sample of this research are the manufacture firms listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2012-2014. The sample are collected using purposive sampling method and resulted 53 firms become the samples. Data analyzed by classic assumption tests and examination hypothesis by multiple regression method.The result of this research show that leverage have a significant effect to tax avoidance. While the other variable, firm size, fix asset intensity, institutional ownership, and independent commissioner do not have significant effect to tax avoidance.Keywords : Tax Avoidance, Leverage, Firm Size, Fix Asset Intensity, Institutional Ownership, Independent Commissioner.

Abstract

“Arcate Mania” is a two-dimenional arcade party game which contains 10 minigames that can be played by two to four players. The game was created using Unity 2D game engine for PC platform. Rewired are used as plugins to configure multiplayer feature and control for minigames. Photoshop were used to design characters and other 2D images for the game. Each minigames have different gameplay and theme. Players have to compete to collect points by winning minigames. Testing was done by blackbox testing method, alpha testing method by lecturers, and beta testing method by survey form given to 44 respondents. The results show that “Arcate Mania” is a multiplayer game with interesting graphic that is easy to play for people with range from teenage to adult and support different kinds of controllers.

Abstract

Dental caries is the dental health problems that are often neglected by humans. If the dental caries is neglected, it can lead to the risk of death. Web-based application to diagnose dental caries of human, aims to help public to do early diagnose of the presence of human dental caries. The benefit of this web-based application is to give suggestion for the user and assist them for the further handling. There are three kinds of human carries that can be detected by this application. The diagnose process started with some questions to be answered by the user. The answers will be compared with rules in the system to make conclusion. This application has been tested and evaluated using black-box and white-box testing method. The results of the tests and evaluation stated that this application can function properly to make early diagnose of human caries.
