Abstract

Think Pair Share (TPS) based on Mathematical Good communication is a good thing expected related to the  solutions students in college to improve the attractiveness and troubleshooting ability for mechanical engineering students in Indonesia. Research on this occasion is CAR (Class Action Research) . Results of the study are: (1) student interest before and after learning undergoes a change in the first cycle that 53% experienced an increase in 97% at cycle stage II, (2) there is an increase in in a student learning process activity that can be viewed from percentage level to student activities in the first phase cycle 83% which have a fairly active conclusion, and in the next cycle with 100%, (3) in this study there was an increase in the value of student achievement from has an average score of achieved from students in this early cycle  68 with the completeness of student learning in this study by 53% and in the second cycle 94 with 97% student learning completeness.

Abstract

Poltek English Club (PEC), which is a student activity unit, is asked to become an agent of change that changes students' perceptions to speak English as an active language. Even so, the existence of PEC at Politeknik Harapan Bersama is still very young. This requires research whether this PEC has an impact on improving the English language skills of Politeknik Harapan Bersama students. Research conducted using data triangulation; observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study are the perceptions of Politeknik Harapan Bersama students towards the existence of the English Club (PEC) Polytechnic on their English language skills. There are three dominant perceptions found. The first is that joining PEC is not interesting, as they are learning English as the lesson in the class. The second is the students feel that they are already mastered English as they are learning it from the elementary school until college. The third is they don’t interest in learning English as it is not use directly to speak with the foreigner as they don’t go to other English spoken countries. The conclusion of this research is many students of Politeknik Harapan Bersama do not perceive PEC as an interesting activities to be followed. Thus, PEC managements should think a solution to boost students’ curiosity and interest. Keywords: College, English Club, Politeknik Harapan Bersama, Perception.

Abstract

AbstrakPompa air adalah harapan utama petani ketika masa penanaman dimusin kemarau sebelum perencanaan penanaman bawang merah. Perkembangannya petani masih banyak menggantungkan proses pengairan bawang merah miliknya kepada stasiun pompa air yang dikelola oleh perorangan/mandiri, Tingginya harga mesin pompa air dan operasional pompa air menjadi alasan yang melatar belakangi petani menunda kepemilikan mesin pompa air. Dengan memanfaatan sepeda motor sebagai sumber tenaga putar adalah sebuah terobosan, diharapkan membawa kegembiraan bagi petani untuk digunakan proses pengairan yang efektif dan efisien untuk menjaga volume air yang ada dilahan pertanian tersebut Modifikasi Pompa Air Berbahan Bakar Bensin Menjadi Berbahan Bakar Gas (Bbg), untuk Mengurangi Biaya Produksi Pada Penanaman Bawang Merah Di Kabupaten Brebes. Pompa air mampu diubah dengan menggunakan BBG untuk mengoperasikan pompa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui debit dari pompa air dan konsumsi bahan bakar sepeda motor. Metode analisa data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan pengujian untuk mengetahui efektifitas sepeda motor sebagai sumber alternatif tenaga putar pompa air. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan debit air dan konsumsi bahan bakar dengan menggunakan sepeda motor pada 3000 rpm debit air sebesar 14,4 m3/jam dan konsumsi bahan bakar sebesar 0.48 liter/jam , pada 4000 rpm sebesar 32,4 m3/jam dan konsumsi bahan bakar sebesar 0.56 liter/jam, pada 5000 rpm sebesar 46.8 m3/jam dan konsumsi bahan bakar sebesar 0.75 liter/jam. Kata kunci : Pompa air , Sepeda Motor

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan industri otomotif yang sangat pesat saat ini sangat mengutamakan kenyamanan dan keamanan dalam berkendaran. Salah satu faktor utama dalam menunjang keamanan dan kenyamanan dalam berkendara ialah suspense, Pegas berfungsi untuk menerima getaran atau goncangan roda akibat dari kondisi jalan yang tidak rata yang dilalui dengan tujuan agar getaran atau goncangan dari roda tidak menyalur ke bodi atau rangka kendaraan.Pada saat ini beberapa pilihan mengenai tipe-tipe suspensi sangat bervariasi, untuk kali ini suspensi yang akan digunakan pada rancang bangun sistem suspensi depan adalah tipe double wishbone yang akan di padukan pada pembuatan mobil urban concept, dalam proses pembuatan rancang bangun sistem suspensi depan double wishbone cukup sederhana dan sering dijumpai di bengkel-bengkel umum yaitu peralatan, bahan, Proses Pembuatan Lengan Wishbone, Lengan wishbone merupakan bagian paling utama mengapa disebut wishbone, karena bentuk dan konstruksinya yang menyerupai tulang wishbone. Pada proses pembuatan lengan wishbone di butuhkan alat dan bahan diantaranya Las Listrik, Meteran, Penggaris siku, Bor, Gerinda, Palu, Cat Avian, bahan yang digunakan Pipa besi, Plat besi, Shock Absorber, Mur, dan Baut. Kerangka dibuat dari pipa besi dengan panjang 27cm x 6 buah dan 24cm x 2 buah, Digunakannya pipa besi berdiameter 2cm agar daya tekanan yang dihasilkan lebih efisien dan mengurangi beban yang berlebih pada kendaraan. Kata Kunci : Suspensi depan, Double Wishbone, urban concept

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the application of the Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning method on students' reading skills. The research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 40 vocational high school students. Data were collected through pretest, posttest, and group tests. Data analysis used paired t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results of the analysis showed that students' reading scores significantly increased after the application of the STAD method. The mean score of the pretest was 70.2, increasing to 82.4 in the posttest, and 85.1 in the group test. A paired t-test revealed significant differences between the pretest and posttest (p<0.01), while an ANOVA test also showed significant differences among the three measurements (p<0.01). The increase in scores from the pretest to the posttest by 12.2 points, as well as the higher group test score than the posttest, indicated the effectiveness of the STAD method in improving students' reading ability and good knowledge retention.
