Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal medium for nursery of White Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). The nursery media used in this study were Sesame, Winged Bean and Corn seeds. The parameter measured was the growth of P. ostreatus mycelium per two days for 14 days of incubation. The design of this study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and five repetitions. The results showed that Corn seed media gave the maximum mycelium growth results compared to Sesame and Winged Bean seed media. The research data were then analyzed statistically using One Way Anova and Tukey HSD tests. The results of One Way Anova analysis showed that the average value of P. ostreatus mycelium growth between groups of nursery media was significantly different. The results of the Tukey HSD analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the nursery media between Sesame seeds and Winged Bean seeds, while Corn with sesame and winged bean seeds had significant differences.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi terdiri dari 3 unsur penting dimana salah satunya adalah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM). PkM merupakan kegiatan yang menghubungkan antara dunia pendidikan dengan masyarakat. Kegiatan PkM bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terkait dengan berbagai masalah yang terjadi di masyarakat salah satunya melalui peningkatan kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) melalui kegiatan seminar dan pelatihan. Salah satu bagian masyarakat yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian dalam peningkatan SDM adalah sekolah. Sekolah yang dijadikan tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM adalah SMK Negeri 9 Kota Tangerang, khusunya jurusan Teknologi Laboratorium Medis. Permasalahan yang ditemukan pada kegiatan pembelajaran di SMK Negeri 9 Kota Tangerang adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada guru dan siswa untuk melakukan identifikasi bakteri secara biokimia seperti Analytical Profil Index (API) 20-E. Hal ini menyebabkan sulitnya lulusan SMK yang mampu beradaptasi dengan industri maupun rumah sakit yang telah menerapkan metode API20-E untuk melakukan identifikasi bakteri. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, perlu dilakukannya kegiatan PkM berupa pelatihan identifikasi Enterobacteriacea menggunakan metode API 20-E kepada guru dan siswa SMK Negeri 9 Kota Tangerang khususnya jurusan Teknologi Laboratorium Medis. Data kegiatan PkM diperoleh dengan menggunakan Pre-Experimental Design (One Group Pre-Test Post-Test) menggunakan instrumen kuis (goggle form) berisi 10 pertanyaan. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan para peserta sebesar 33,3%. Kata Kunci: Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, API-20E, Enterobacteriaceae.  ABSTRACT Higher Education Tridharma consists of three important elements, one of which is Community Service (CM). CM is an activity that connects the world of education with the community. CM activities aim to provide solutions related to various problems that occur in the community, one of which is increasing the ability of human resources (HR) through seminars and training activities. One part of society that needs attention for improving human resources is the school. The school that was used as the venue for the CM activities was SMK Negeri 9 Kota Tangerang, especially the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology. The problem found in learning activities at SMK Negeri 9 Kota Tangerang is the lack of knowledge and skills for teachers and students to carry out biochemical identification of bacteria, such as the Analytical Profile Index (API) 20-E. This makes it difficult for SMK graduates who are able to adapt to industry and hospitals that have implemented the API 20-E method to identify bacteria. Based on these problems, it is necessary to carry out PkM activities in the form of Enterobacteriaceae identification training using the API 20-E method for teachers and students of SMK Negeri 9 Tangerang City, especially those majoring in Medical Laboratory Technology. CM activity data were obtained using a Pre-Experimental Design (One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test) using a quiz instrument (Google Form) containing 10 questions. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase in the participants' knowledge of 33.3%. Keywords : Community Service, API-20E, Enterobacteriaceae
