Abstract

Abstrak Probiotik adalah mikroorganisme hidup yang memberikan manfaat kesehatan pada inangnya antara lain meningkatkan sistem imunitas, peningkatan proses absorpsi, bowel movement, mencegah intolerasi, antimutagenik dan menurunkan kolesterol. Bakteri yang digolongkan sebagai probiotik adalah yang memproduksi asam laktat terutama dari spesies Lactobacillus sp. dan Bifidobacterium sp., dan beberapa jenis bakteri lain. Lactobacillus plantarum dan Bifidobacterium sp. telah lama dikenal sebagai probiotik. Gut associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) merupakan kompartemen yang penting dalam mekanisme sistem pertahanan tubuh (sistem imunitas) pada saluran cerna dimana pada bagian ini memungkinkan terjadinya interaksi tubuh dengan berbagai patogen. sIgA sebagai bagian komponen pertahanan tubuh memiliki kemampuan netralisasi patogen yang menginvasi saluran cerna. Strain specifik Lactobacillus plantarum IS-10506 isolat indigenos dari dadih susu fermentasi tradisional asal Sumatra Barat memiliki potensi meningkatkan daya imunitas, potensi toleransi racun, mekanisme adhesi, kompetisi terhadap patogen, dekontaminasi racun dan meningkatkan sIgA pada hewan uji. Perbaikan anatomi lapisan epitel pada hewan uji juga menunjukkan hasil yang positif. Lactobacillus sp. juga telah dikembangkan sebagai vaksin oral. Kata kunci : probiotik, dadih, bakteri asam laktat, sIgA Abstract Probiotik is a living microorganism that impact the host by modulate the immune system, extend the absorpsi process and bowel movement. Furthermore, it prevents intolerancy, has an antimutagenic effect and to control cholesterol level. Bacteria that include to probiotic, produce lactic acid especially from Lactobacillus sp., Bifidobacterium sp., and another species. Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue (GALT) is an important part of immune system mechanism in the digestive tract, in which the pathogen could invade the host. The sIgA has a potency to neutralize the pathogen. A specific strain of Lactobacillus plantarum, IS-10506, indigenous isolate from traditional dadih, fermented milk from west Sumatra, has an immunity potencial, poison tolerancy and adhesion mechanism.Furthermore, it compete against pathogen, poison decontamination and increase the sIgA production. Positif result could perform brush border repair in rat. Lactobacillus sp. has been developed as an oral vaccine. Key Word : probiotic, dadih, lactic acid bacteria, sIgA

Abstract

Trembesi (Samanea saman) is one of the plants that is currently developed as one of the green line plants. Stomata as part of the leaf that has the ability to bind air, especially oxygen and carbon dioxide, is one part of the plant that can be used as an indicator to see the effect of pollutants contained in the air. The result was obtained by using an electron microscope to analyze the morphological structure of stomata leaves Trembesi (Samanea saman). Location was determined by two groups, the control group was at the UKI campus environment which was away from air pollution and the treatment group was in the Cawang police station where many vehicles passed through. Within a 90 days after treatment of pollutant exposure to plants, the structure of Trembesi leaf stomata was observed using an electron microscope. Based on the observation, the leaf position in the middle of the tree and the position of the leaf at the bottom of the tree, it was found that the leaves placed in the control position had a finer stomata mouth structure, more leaf hairs, and a wider diameter. While on the leaves that are placed on the location exposed to pollutants, has an irregular leaf mouth structure, fewer leaf feathers, and smaller diameter. This study can be concluded that there was an effect of exposure of pollutant that could change morphology of stomata leaves of Trembesi (Samanea saman).

Abstract

Background: The condition of pulmonary tuberculosis patients is affected by low nutritional status and this will slow recovery time. The problem of this research is the need to describe the calorie intake of pulmonary tuberculosis patients after receiving education on nutritional patterns high in protein and fat in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the start of their treatment. In the initial conditions, TB patients generally experience protein and energy deficits, then during the course of treatment for approximately six months, it is necessary to evaluate the nutritional intake profile of TB patients. Therefore the expected goal of this research is to obtain profile data on the intake of energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates as well as micronutrients. Methods: Research using a descriptive interview approach using a 24-hour food recall questionnaire and www.nutrisurvey.com analysis in the work area of the Seputih Raman Public Health Center, Central Lampung in 2021. Results: Based on nutrisurvey data, subjects were found to be underweight (60%), with the highest carbohydrate intake deficit (80%) compared to intake of protein (46.67%) and fat (53.33%). Conclusion: This shows through our result, the need to emphasize the balance of nutritional intake in the nutrition education of Pulmonary Tuberculosis subjects not only protein and fat intake. Thus tuberculosis patients also need to pay attention to a balanced intake of carbohydrates Keywords: Pulmonary tuberculosis, nutrition intake. Seputih Raman Abstrak Latar Belakang : Kondisi pasien tuberkulosis paru dipengaruhi status gizi yang rendah dan hal ini akan memperlambat waktu pemulihan. Permasalahan penelitian ini perlunya gambaran asupan kalori penderita tuberkulosis paru setelah mendapat edukasi pola gizi tinggi protein dan lemak pada pasien tuberkolusis paru pada awal pengobatan mereka. Dalam kondisi awal, pada umumnya pasien Tuberkulosis mengalami defisit protein dan energi kemudian dalam perjalanan pengobatan selama kurang lebih enam bulan, perlu dilakukan evaluasi melihat profil asupan nutrisi pasien Tuberkulosis. Oleh karenanya tujuan yang diharapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah didapatkan profil data asupan energi, protein, lemak dan karbohidrat juga mikronutrien. Metode: Penelitian pendekatan deskriptif wawancara dengan alat ukur kuesioner food recall 24 jam dan analisa www.nutrisurvey.com di daerah kerja puskesmas Seputih Raman, Lampung Tengah Tahun 2021. Hasil: Berdasarkan data analisa nutrisurvey, didapatkan 60% pasien status gizi kurus, dengan angka defisit asupan karbohidrat paling tinggi (80%) dibandingkan asupan protein (46,67%) dan lemak (53,33%). Kesimpulan: Melalui hasil penelitian kami, hal ini menunjukkan perlunya menekankan keseimbangan asupan gizi pada edukasi gizi pasien Tuberkulosis Paru bukan hanya pada asupan protein dan lemak, dengan demikian pasien Tuberkulosis juga perlu memperhatikan asupan karbohidrat yang seimbang. Kata kunci: Tuberkulosis paru, asupan nutrisi, Seputih Raman.

Abstract

Malnutrition refers to a condition when the body does not get enough of the necessary nutritional intake. Malnutrition in the elderly is a serious global health problem due to changes in the age pyramid throughout the world, especially the proportion of the number of elderly. The elderly are vulnerable to functional disorders, nutritional intake and economic problems. psychological and motoric As a result, it is very easy for elderly people to experience a decrease in nutritional intake which triggers nutritional problems and other disorders in the elderly. This research uses the Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) questionnaire to identify the nutritional status of the elderly and its relationship with elderly screening including food intake, as well as several disorders (mobility, psychological, neurological) in the elderly at Batam City Nursing Homes in December 2022. The research method used is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional approach, the research sample consists of 65 respondents selected using total sampling techniques. The research results showed that based on the Mini Nutritional Assessment, 10 respondents (15.4%) had normal nutritional status, 30 people (46.2%) were at risk of experiencing malnutrition, and 25 people (38.5%) experienced malnutrition. The majority of elderly people experience a decrease in food intake, are still able to move (mobility), do not experience psychological disorders, but the majority have experienced neurological disorders (dementia).
