Abstract

This article wants to show that science based on positivism contains many weaknesses, which are proven by critics of positivism from Western philosophers, such as Karl Popper, Thomas Kuhn, Feyerabend and Rorty. The reaction of these figures placed them in a post-positivism flow, a movement of resistance to positivism in various domains ranging from ontology, epistemology to methodology. Thus, Islam can be an alternative offer to develop science.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an merupakan wahyu Allah yang diturunkan kepada seluruh umat manusia melalui Nabi Muhammad untuk menjadi petunjuk dalam menjalani kehidupan ini. Al-Qur'an berisi ayat-ayat yang arti etimologisnya "tanda-tanda", dalam bentuk bahasa Arab. Di samping al-Qur'an, ayat atau tanda yang diberikan Allah kepada makhluknya adalah dalam bentuk alam raya dan dalam diri manusia itu sendiri.

Abstract

Perbedaan dan variasi interpretasi terhadap teks merupakan problem metodologi, khususnya tentang bagaimana memahami dan menafsirkan teks. Tulisan ini fokus pada analisis metodologi memahami-menafsirkan dalam interpretasi terhadap teks, khususnya teks hadis Nabi Muhammad saw., yang telah berumur 1400 tahun lalu dan dari geografis serta budaya yang berbeda juga.

Abstract

Tafsir, as an Islamic hermeneutics, holds a significant position in understanding and applying the sacred text of the Qur'an. This study aims to investigate the theoretical and practical aspects of tafsir as an interpretive method within the Islamic tradition. Through an approach of textual and contextual analysis, this research explores various tafsir approaches used in Islamic history and their application in contemporary contexts. The role of tafsir as Islamic hermeneutics lies not only in understanding the meaning of the Qur'anic text but also in connecting it with social, cultural, and political realities. This research also explores the relevance and challenges faced in applying Islamic hermeneutics in contemporary contexts. Through this in-depth analysis, it is hoped to gain a better understanding of the role of tafsir in enriching religious understanding and guiding religious practices in contemporary Islamic society.
