Abstract

Abstract This study aims to obtain a model of learning that develop character values​​, science process skills, and mastery of concepts students. This study was designed with a quasi-experimental methods, to form "the two-group pretest-posttest design". The instrument used in this study is the science process skills test items and mastery of concepts, student worksheets, observation sheets and questionnaires of students and teachers. The subjects of this study were students at one of the high schools in Kampar regency of Riau as many as 24 peoples in experimental class and 24 peoples in control class. The results showed that the guided inquiry learning students can develop character, enhancing science process skills and mastery of concepts students colloid significantly compared to conventional learning. Keywords: Guided inquiry; character values​​; science process skills; mastery of concepts; colloid Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis mind map Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan suatu model pembelajaran yang mengembangkan nilai-nilai karakter, keterampilan proses sains, dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan metode kuasi eksperimen, dengan bentuk “the two-group pretest-postest design”. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah butir tes keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep, lembar kerja siswa, lembar observasi, dan angket siswa dan guru. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Kampar Riau sebanyak 24 orang kelas eksperimen dan 24 orang kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa, meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep koloid siswa yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in useful biodiversity, such as red galangal (Alpinia purpurata K.Schum). The antibacterial and antifungal activity of the compounds isolated from the red galangal rhizome is the beginning of a new innovation to implement the concept on plants. The content of 1,8 sineol and eugenol in it makes red galangal rhizome can be used as a fungicide on lettuce plants. The widespread use of chemical-based pesticides can harm farmers and the environment with repeated exposure and over a long period of time. So biofungicide innovation is needed that can support the concept of Green Chemistry. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of red galangal rhizome extract as a fungicide on lettuce plants, as well as to analyze and determine under what conditions the fungicide from red galangal rhizome extract is optimal in eradicating Rhizoctonia Solani fungus on lettuce plants. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 10 treatments. All data were tested for normality followed by homogeneity test and all data were found to be normally distributed and homogeneous. Data were analyzed with parametric statistical tests using one-way ANOVA tests and further tests using Tukey with an error rate of 10% to determine whether there was an effect of the treatment tested on the material. The results of this study indicate that red galangal rhizome extract is effective in eradicating Rhizoctonia Solani fungus on lettuce plants with an optimum concentration of 50%.
